absolutely the worst...held for a supervisor for 45 minutes after their rep told me that a claim they processed incorrectly would need to be appealed as opposed to their just reprocessing to correct their error...after the 45 minute hold for a "supervisor" no one answered and issue is still not resolved, called back and held for 21 minutes before gave up because no one answered..can't spend all day trying to resolve one claim waiting on hold for FL Blue to pick up their phone...and NOT A SINGLE ONE OF THEM SPEAKS ENGLISH...INDIA CALL CENTER ALL THE WAY AND THE SERVICE OR LACK OF SERVICE SHOWS EXACTLY HOW LITTLE THEY KNOW OR CARE

Blue CrossBlue Shield of Florida is by far the worst customer service experience I have ever encountered. Writing, emailing and calling will not help. If you submit a claim, be prepared to have it ignored for month or forever. They will only process electronic claims from physicians in their system. Terrible service.

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida customer service is an absolute nightmare! Customer service is outsourced to some foreign country. The representatives don't even understand how health care works in the USA and can give nothing but canned text responses. It takes at least ten minutes of listening to, "Still checking, bare with me, thank you" before they even locate your claim. Once the do, they give you bogus responses and excuses for why your claim isn't paid. If you refuse to accept their incompetent responses you are put on hold while the review the issue with their supervisor. Finally, you are transferred to a claims specialist who is in the USA. Even after the wasted forty minutes or so that this process took, I was fine. However, BIG problem! Recently, something has changed! The "claims specialists" seem to no longer be from the USA and know and understand and can help resolve your issue. Now it seems they too are in or from a foreign country and getting any resolution is a lesson in futility! DISGUSTING!!!!!! Greedy company pulling in money hand over fist with no thought or concern for the people paying it to them. Good money for substandard care! It's SICKENING!!!!!!

This is by far the WORSE insurance company ever! I have been to the BCBS offices in Towne Center in Jacksonville, FL twice now & both times I have encountered horrible customer service. The first time the rep (Cedric Gilyard) gave me incorrectly information & basically wanted to start an argument with me over why I wanted to go with a particular policy. The second time I went to the office, the woman (Vicki Battle) was annoyed she had to fill out extensive paperwork. I will NEVER go there again. Unfortunately though utilizing the phone is not any better. We are now at two months waiting to be put on my husband's policy - BCBS had no problem whatsoever cashing our check almost 60 days ago but its third party company (Tranzact) is taking its sweet time to process our application. At one point, my husband was contacted & was being asked questions as if he was being added to his OWN policy...hello...I am the one being added. We have tried asking to speak with a supervisor & the person my husband is directed to (Phil VanAlmen) claims he doesn't even know who is working on our application. This is insane! Here we are doing the right thing by having insurance (or trying to) & we are bombarded with incompetent idiots.

Don't call 1-800-727-2227 unless you have a NPI#. If you do not provide the automated system that number, the machine will tell you to call back later with the number and hang up. You cannot get to an operator.

What a bad customer services. We have to wait for a long time and if you need to call a specific department no way to find out. It is a wasting time.

I have just spent over two hours on the phone with many different employees who don't seem to understand that I am only trying to give your company some business. I have been transferred so many times and told my story so many times that I am ready to give up entirely on your company. I have never seen such inefficiency in my life.

I was even hung up on the last time, so I had the pleasure of starting from scratch again! Somehow my written application has been lost by your employees and I now have no insurance. I thought it was all taken care of and now I find out not only do I not have insurance, but you don't even know what happened to the forms I mailed to you. I received a call saying something was left out on the app and I gave the young woman the name of the person who I had mailed the app to and she assured me she would take care of it and all would be fine. That was November 11 and still I have no insurance and no resolution to this situation. I am totally disgusted and I certainly think your employees need some education in customer service. Everyone I have spoken with passes me off to the next rep and I begin my story all over again. The final answer is that I was mailed the incorrect app and it isn't even what I was applying for in the first place. Monday I will visit an insurance rep in my city and hope I don't need medical attention before that. I will certainly tell friends and neighbors of the horror story of today!!
