I bought a used 2013 Kia Optima 2 months ago. It didn't seem to have much power and I noticed when I would accelerate, it would make a strange sound. My husband looked at the engine and said there was absolutely no oil on it. We took it into the San Bernardino Kia dealership and were told that they could see that the engine needed to be replaced, but Kia refused to warranty the engine because it wasn't related to their engine recall criteria. This car only had 65, 000 miles on it. So now we either have to pay to replace the engine (approx $6000) or we have a car that smokes and burns oil faster than we can put it in. We can't sell it because no one will want to buy a car in this condition. So basically we just lost $12,000 and have a car that does not work and a company that will not stand behind their product. DO NOT BUY KIA. You will absolutely regret it.
