We purchased a certified pre-owned jeep for my son March 2017 with 25,000 miles on it. Over the past 12 months, he put on only 5,000 miles. Let's fast forward to March 2018, he fails inspection and needs two front tires and a wheel alignment. In addition, where I got the car inspected, the owner said the struts and shocks need to be changed which should be covered under warranty. In addition, a piece of the under carriage snapped off. $500 later I call Town and Country and a few days later a manager, Dave returns my call and is nothing but rude to me. He claims that they can not do anything about the tires. If he was nice about it, I probably would have let it go, however, he should not be in the position that he has. During our conversation, about the 5000 miles, he even said that it being certified means nothing. That's rather pathetic for a manager.

So the saga continues when I bring the car to Merrick Dodge (who were wonderful) and they proceed to tell me that the car was involved in an accident which it never was. They told me that the undercarriage part that fell off clearly says Land Rover and was not supposed to be on this car. In addition, they said that the right front strut was leaking and the control arm was bent and was not factory installed. This now cost me another $150 for them to evaluate the car and do nothing. These to me were the most distressing. The salesman pulled the car fax and we were told (actually lied to) that the car was not involved in any accident.
Is it common practice to install non-factory parts on a certified used car? This is disgusting. So I was actually forced back to Town and Country where Diane was originally sweet and said they will look at the car. Sadly when I went to pick up the car she became pro-dealer. She said everything was fixed and would never admit fault. She claims the Land Rover part wasn't even necessary so nothing was ever installed. I kept asking her about the after market parts and she kept saying, you're good. Everything is fixed.
I was planning on getting my daughter a Jeep. However, due to their lying and rudeness I will never step foot back in that dealership. Avoid this dealership like the plague.
I do plan on sending an email to corporate as I am out $650 and left with a horrible taste in my mouth thanks to Town and Country Jeep. Just an awful experience.
