Title max is ridiculous! U have managers at the broadway store in knoxville tn smoking weed before work and the service they provide prove it...they even take pictures outside of the office with the office in back ground of them smoking weed! This is why the service is so crappy there! I got the pictures to prove it!
Help this is the help I know of .my girlfriends car was repoed in Richmond, while down here working, we live in Roanoke. that was on friday.we paid to get it back took all but 37 dollars left no money for hotel or food, we know no one here.its now monday.still will not tell her where her car is, The Little lieing prick Lenny and Stephanie . do not know what they are doing gave use the run-around for two days lie after lie still do no know a thing.very sad the way these two treat people. repercentting TITLEMAX ... I recenly had mytruck picked up the office on victory drive in columbus gerogia they asked for the key so i took it to them i have asked repeatly for the tag and presonal things from the truck the office keeps saying in acouple days i have goverment issued items in the truck such as a handicap sign i just need to get my thinhs so if you can plz notify the office and let me get my things it would be great thank you. I spoke with representatives on Thursday and Friday and they did not give me the date due to my settlement date with Title Max corporate compromise until Friday the 28th with two (2) calls made to Simi Valley, Ca , store I had to call them to verify no calls were made to me as to when the date was ( the representative said she would call me with date and never did) so I called the store back on Friday around 5 pm and spoke with another representative that said my date was the 29 and that I could call them and make payment with her on Saturday 29 of June 2019 after my work. She said she could have the paperwork pulled for me and she would apply to settlement. I called after work and the store was closed I left message expressing my need to pay and that I would pay my payment on the TitleMax app but the app does not allow me to pay
I feel this was misconduct by this store. And am willing to pay now

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) took action against TitleMax parent company TMX Finance LLC for luring consumers into costly loan renewals by presenting them with misleading information about the deals' terms and costs. The lender also used unfair debt collection tactics that illegally exposed information about debts to borrowers' employers, friends, and family. The Bureau ordered TMX Finance to stop its unlawful practices and pay a $9 million penalty.
"TMX Finance lured consumers into more expensive loans with information that hid the true costs of the deal," said CFPB Director. "They then followed up with intrusive visits to homes and workplaces that put consumers' personal information at risk. We are making it clear that these actions were unacceptable and illegal."
TMX Finance, which is based in Savannah, Ga., is one of the country's largest auto title lenders, with more than 1,300 storefronts in 18 states. TMX Finance offers title and personal loans through a host of state subsidiaries under the names TitleMax, TitleBucks, and InstaLoan. Single-payment auto title loans are usually due in 30 days, with some carrying an annual percentage rate of up to 300 percent. To qualify for the loan, a consumer must bring in a lien-free vehicle and its title as collateral.
The CFPB found that store employees, as part of their sales pitch for the 30-day loans, offered consumers a "monthly option" for making loan payments. They then offered consumers a "Voluntary Payback Guide" that showed how to repay the loan with smaller payments over a longer time period. But the guide and sales pitch did not explain the true cost of the loan if the consumer renewed it multiple times. TMX Finance employees also unlawfully exposed sensitive personal information during "field visits" to consumers' homes, references, and places of employment in attempts to collect debt. Today's order addresses a period from July 21, 2011 to the present. Specifically, the Bureau found that TMX Finance:
Presented consumers with misleading information about loan terms: TMX Finance employees asked consumers how much they wanted to pay each month or how long they wanted to take to pay off the 30-day loan. The guide and sales pitch distracted consumers from the fact that repeatedly renewing the loan, as encouraged by TMX Finance employees, would dramatically increase the loan's cost. The guide does not calculate fees or the total cost to consumers of repeatedly renewing the loan instead of repaying it in 30 days. This makes it difficult, if not impossible, for a consumer to compare costs for renewing the loan over a given period,
Exposed information about consumers' debts to co-workers, neighbors, and family members: Some TMX Finance employees revealed information about consumers' past-due debt while visiting consumers' homes, references, or places of employment. TMX Finance also made in-person debt collection attempts despite knowing that visitors were not permitted at the consumer's workplace. Such visits can damage consumers' reputations, interfere with their ability to do their jobs, and trigger disciplinary action or firing.

this is douglas customer about 2yrs ago i took out a loan with title max and they have been vary good to me but i have had some problems with my loan my turck was in a accedent and 8 tousand dollars damage was done to it and now they are telling me they want me to give them the truck so they can sell it i want to keep it but i need a offer from yall my offer is a 1000 dollars in too payments of 500 dollars benging next mounth on the tenth of 11/10/2017 this is my offer to settle with yall so i can get my title back on my turck with 8000 in damages you would not get that if you saled it so let me keep it please it has vaule to me please. and if you want to call me my and lets talk about it.
I have 2 caddilac cts I had a offer of 6000 for each but only got 2500 on both the representative at office said comeback if u need more! So I came bak was denied the rest I have done business with title max for 5 year. I draw royalty check and always have paid off vehicles in a short amount of time. I always get my vehicle out quickly. I get a email from title max saying I have funds available call my local office they say no money available. They atrying to rip e off. I can pay off both cars as soon my royalty check come thru with is almost 100k rink I'm worried about 12k debt . When I pay these off I Wil never use this company again. Ty for reading my coment. Don't lose your car cause they won't work with you on anything the company is a bunch of liars and leave you stuck in constant payments
I took out my second title loan with you guy's two week's ago for 500 dls. The lady helping me said if I needed more just to go back any time a week 2 weeks cuz I was using the money to fix the car. I went back today and asked for another 200. And after wasting and hour and half of my time I was told that I was denied cuz I haven't made a payment yet and it hadn't been a month. Why didn't the lady Stephanie tell me that in the beginning. Im very disappointed and I will never use your services ever again. I will never recommend you guy's either.
I went into the office 2 days before loan is due to explain that I would be ask least $100 short on due date and ask what could i do. I ask if i could pay all but $100 or so and the rest in 2 weeks I was told no and that I really needed to get my full payment in by friday 2 days after due date because titlemax has been bought out by another company, who knew. I saw somewhere in one of your adss that you understood that people run into problems sometimes, the young woman was not very understanding. I have only been late once since doing business with you and this is my second loan.
Title Max is the worse company and please if you can help it do not take out a title loan. They fail to tell you that if you do not pay more than your payment or early nothing will go toward your principal for about the first year. You end up paying 3 times, 3 times, get that 3 times what you borrowed. It is not worth it. That is pure greed. These loans are worse than payday loans and should be illegal. I am going to do all that I can do to make sure that I am tenacious in trying to get them illegalized.
My name is Dorothy Roberts and I have a titlebucks acct in Kingsland Ga. Worse mistake I ever made. I admit I'm late on my not By 5 days and Kim that works there refused my pmt because I need to sign a new 30 day agreement. Now my acct will have added late fees because I told her I was working and couldn't make it. She is a rude and non helpful person. I even asked her for someone else or Kenny lemmond fone number and she refused. They are only out for the money no matter what the situation.so please be aware
I, my mother, and my husband have all had multiple loans with title max and while under previous management, we had nothing but great things to say about the company. The service staff were friendly, efficient, empathetic, and always willing to work with people when unforseen difficulties arose. Now that the Store on route 460 in Roanoke, Va is under new management those qualities are non-existant. They call and harrass us, are not willing to grant extensions, and seem to have no concern for life situations that happen. Even though the longer it takes you to pay, the more money they make on daily interest, they are ruthless in thier collection tactics. I have but will never refer anyone to them again, and once my loan is paid iff, I will take all future loan needs elsewhere. I have gone from a happy returning customer to a customer that actually despises Loan/Title Max.
