I keep getting lower Visa rate calls. Have informed the government do not call to my phone number. Getting calls, each time from a different area code. Calling those numbers back results in a non existant phone number. No ent to this nonsense.

Visa claims they are working with the law authorities to try to put a stop to this but, it is obviously not working.

I was given the Visa phone number of to be able to call them every time I receive another Visa fraudulant call.

Please do the same if you are being harrased like me.

I needed to call VISA about my warranty claim on a crappy Frigidaire washer that broke after a year and a half. For those who don't know, if you buy something that has a warranty, VISA doubles it through their Warranty Manager program (800-231-3250). The three times I've called this number or the main number (800-847-2911) I waited only a few minutes in queue. So far their phone service has been great and very efficient. Can't comment on the warranty program since they haven't even received my paperwork yet. Re. other comments here, why would anyone would call VISA to get their account balance or other account info instead of calling the number on the back of your card or looking up the number for the bank/company that issued the card. VISA doesn't maintain accounts; VISA is like the Great Oz behind the curtain. They work with your bank unless you need to use one of the extra VISA benefits like Warranty Manager (your bank can tell you when you do).

Tried to call Visa from UK. My insurance company gave me the number as 0800 847 2911. I tried calling that number but the operator said it was unobtainable. On Google, Visa Customer Services give their number as 800 847 2911. Is this a USA number?? If so, Visa should give a clear indication of the country code. This is a careless error of communication which Visa must correct.

everyone is right visa customer service sucks...they do not help you with anything....how is it 24 hour help then they say call your bank...well at this time if i could i would...hello i wouldnt be calling you....

Visa says, it is a 24/7 customer service. Which, is not true because they cannot even give you your account information and they transferred me to, "a 24/7 customer service line." Which, that was not even any help to me because the operator did not answer. So, I did not find my account balance after hours even though it is suppose to be 24/7! I am highly disappointed!

Was on the phone 20.23 minute trying to reach customer service. I finally hung up. I tried their to contact their customer service via their website but nothing was available.

This is no way to run a business.

I have had a terrible time trying to replace a lost gift card. I have called every institution affiliated with the card to no avail. The first time I spoke with Visa, they appeared to want to help and told me what I needed to do to have a replacement issued. After two weeks, I called back and they claimed to have NO information about the card number in question. They also informed me that there was no phone number available to Lost or Stolen Cards department (WHAT?!?) and that I could request a call back, which I did. The representative told me to expect said callback withing 48 hours, and it never came. I called back today, and now I am supposed to call US Bank who issued the card! I would understand that if US Bank had any record of the card number, but no, they didn't...back to square one. Like anyone has time to spend the entire day trying to track down their money...thanks VISA for absolutely nothing!

It has a slight menu - just press one for english, one for cardholder, and select the next appropriate option. I was connected to a customer service representative in less than 90 seconds from initial dialing of number -> actual pickup, so definitely manageable.

Granted, I needed to be transferred to someone else for a more intricate issue, but I was not just "passed along" - the original representative stayed on until the appropriate person could be reached.

Music was nice. No complaints. My credit card on the other hand...let's just leave it at the fact I will be using a different bank's VISA card from now on.

Customer service line is a joke! I call the 800# for live person, still get menu. I press 0 and it drops me off the call!!!!!

It has taken over an hour to get through to Customer Service. Some peoples phones are on minutes. I still haven't through. How am I suppose to activate it if I can't get nobody on the phone. I am sorry I bought this thing.

Last month, when I paid my Visa bill by phone, Visa took 5,556.90 out of my checking account in order to pay the 556.90 credit card bill I actually owed! I did not find out about this until I opened my banking statement and practically had a heart attack when I saw the balance and realized what had heppened. I was willing to chalk this up as an honest mistake at first, except it has now been over two weeks since I began trying to correct this error. I have spoken to five different individuals representing Visa, all assuring me that the matter would be resolved "within "2-5 business days."

Assurances begin to ring hollow as
I find in talking to various Visa representatives and supervisors that there is "no record" of my situation, no record of reference numbers that have been issued in attempts to remedy the company's mistake.

The matter is NOT resolved, and I am now almost penniless as I wait for the good folks at Visa to put thousands of dollars back into my checking account. This incompetence on the part of the Visa company is now tipping over into negligence, as far as I am concerned.

CAUTION: Think carefully before using Visa's convenient method of paying your bill over the phonhe. Better yet, think carefully before doing business with Visa at all.

Visa, I am terribly disappointed in your customer service. First, you do not make it convenient for customers to contact you. There is an email address, but that simply is not sufficient. I prefer to speak with a real live representative who I can explain my dilemma to. Your website does not offer a telephone number to reach Visa. This is a deliberate attempt to keep your customers from calling...So much more can be resolved talking with an individual, then waiting for a response to a question that may or may not be adequately answered.

I had a debit card stolen and activated but when i didnt get it i went to the bank and had it canceled on the third and someone activated it on the 11th and cleared my account almost six thousand dollers i filed charges and the bank said l had to call the visa company because they deal with that and all i wanted was my money back but they are giving me the run around and now say they cant do anything about it nice to know something like this happens they wont be standing behind you needless to say they just lost a customer.

This is the worst customer service I've ever received in my entire life. It's like everyone there wear ear phones to avoid answering the phones and when that happens that mean no one there care about the customer. Can't get the simple thing accomplished with this company. If I wasn't deployed I'll gladly remove all my money from the FCFCU and bank elsewhere because I'm sure the world doesn't operate this way.

This is the bottom of the pit when it comes to getting productive help when your credit card has been lost or stolen. She gave me another number (to the bank the card was issued thru), but it was the wrong number.

I am a Visa employee, & actually work with their Lost & Stolen department, heres a couple pointers & tips...

1. The best way to get through is to call the 1-800-VISA911 & then press 0#0# to get through the VRU.

2ndly- One thing we educate hundreds of cardholders everyday is that we, VISA, do NOT own your CC, its your bank, no matter if its a CC or debit card, so if u ever have an issue with your card ( activation/ credit limit/ balance/ card not working while traveling) you MUST call your bank, not Visa. We DO NOT have access to your personal information. But some people dont get it & yell at us. If you are unhappy with any services that happens w/ your card you need to take it up with your bank.

Finally- Visa ONLY manages lost/ stolen card reports & handles emergency services for cardholders that are traveling, we DO NOT make the decision if you receive your card or not, that is upto the bank, remember they are the owner of your acct. & when you receive an emergency card that doesnt work, you need to speak to the bank, we JUST emboss them ( it maybe that the card isnt active yet). & we help with certain benefits that visa cardholders have (http://usa.visa.com/personal/cards/benefits/index.html).

I hope this clears the air on what we do, we are an amazing company excelling in Customer Service. Thanks.

the worst service i have ever encountered as a travel consultant who needed an approval code for an international visa card, no help was given

I have that beat i've been a cardholder since 1987. My credit line was a little over 12,000. Visa offered to renegotiate my rate combined with another credit card and give me a 5 year payoff at a greatly reduced principal, but I would have to give up my card. Because of my business I needed the card so didn't want to do it. I took a note out , payed off both cards andn was rewarde with them cutting my limit to 500.00 A 11500.00 slam ! When I called to question this, they promptly cancelled both cards!

I reported my card lost in January.Called visa to report;got a confirmation number. expecting a new card. New crd arrived. Went to use card on Saturday and card was denied. i was totally embarassed. Went immediately and called visa. Spoke with several agents with no resolution than to call my local contact which was closed. One agent gave me wrong telephone number, one put me on hold and finally line disconnected; call back and was told it was the local office wrong doing. Went to my local office; to inquire of block card and the assistant manager immediately said there is a problem with to find out there are in a folder had vendor dispute from 2 years agon in my files. The manager assumed without looking that ws the problem Problem Visa sent out the same card with same number that I had blocked in Janaury. Now I have to wait 7-10 business days.

After endless trouble with my VISA cards and the local institution I reported the problem to VISA and they respond "Thank you for your message. For specific benefit information, please contact the financial institution that issued your Visa card. The financial institution can directly address your inquiry."

I agree VISA is no longer my favorite card.

I am still hangin on the line. I did not receive a new card this year for some reason. I discovered this when I went to use my card at the gas station and it was rejected because it had expired. I called numerous numbers and talked to numerous people. I was assured I would be sent another card right away. That was a week ago.
I was just transferred to yet another person who said it might be another week till my card arrives. When I asked why the card was not expidited I was told that is only done in emergencies. Try operating without a credit card for a week and see if you think that constitutes an emergency. This is most disconcerting. VISA is not my favorite company any more.
