Poor customer service. Calls to their customer service line reaches a telephone prompt that simply hangs up on you. I can't even get an answer or support for a simple issue. I'll just buy my books at Indigo moving forward.

spent hours putting cds in cart. had to listen to most somewhat before adding them. Must have put 10+ in from wonderbooks . Went to add another when almost done and my cart is empty and none of the cds show up in searches in Wonderbooks store. I don't think I even remember all of them anyways. Wasted night? What can i do?
My bank account was double charged for the same item. I've been trying to resolve this issue for a while to no avail. The phone number provided for customer service literally hangs up on you. I've sent an email and haven't received any reply regarding my concern.
Half.com's website is HOPELESSLY difficult and impossible to use!I have been trying to 2 days to cancel a sale and issue a full refund. The refund link doesnt work!! Nothing happen. So the buyer still does not know she is not getting my book because there is no link to her, either. And all my emails to half.com just bounce back as dead letter mail.

If you intend to sell books thru Half.com, please be warned and advised. This site does not care about sellers. They cancelled our selling account after 10 years of long standing good history, because of a supposed shipping violation; they never explained the violation even though we requested explanation several times. Only possible communication with them is via email (they call themselves "an online company"); the online customer representative was very rude and not helpful, ignored all our questions or concerns and simply kept referring us to their "help" pages. Since half.com accounts link to eBay.com, this caused our eBay.com account to also be blocked, which is a totally different site with different policies. This blocks seller activity also on the other site, and doesn't even let you use the account for buying any product; but half.com did not care about helping resolve the situation. The eBay people tried to help but they could not do anything about the already blocked account.
On top of this half.com does not immediately pay seller revenues, as policy they only pay twice a month and they provide no option for requesting immediate payment if you are in urgent need of the money. So upon cancelling an account like they did to us, they place your pending payments on a 60-day hold period, which we doubt is legal. After 60 days when you try to reclaim the frozen funds they come up with another list of hurdles and "account identity validations" in order to release your money. In our case we did not have any extra identity validations to do since our account had current up-to-date information, so then the customer representative simply stopped responding to our email requests for payment. (There is no way to contact them via phone).
We had to call ebay for advise, they provided a phone number for half.com 800-545-9857, when you call this number it is an endless loop voice response system that never connects you to a real person. So, when there is a problem with these people, there is no simple way to resolve issues and you are stuck, and THEY ARE EXTREMELY DISREGARDING AND DISRESPECTING OF SELLERS, who are THE ONES WHO ALLOW THEM TO EARN THE STEEP FEES they charge on every book sale.
If you intend to sell with this company beware of their questionable and unfair practices, try to take your business somewhere else.

If you have issues with your order, contact the seller directly. Half.com works kinda like eBay. The website isn't selling the items; individual sellers are. Also, sellers have a full 7 days to ship your order, per Half.com's policy. Some sellers wait until the very last day to ship it regardless if you requested that it be sent out sooner. They don't have to honor your wishes. They just have to ship it within 7 days of the sale date. Take that in to account when you purchase from the website.
Don;t bother with the phone number as it just hangs up on you. What a joke! Their online support says nothing about return policy if you get the book and you are no longer in the class. DO NOT WASTE TIME RENTING HERE! I can't even print out the return label!
I ordered a Talmud Balvi book set.I purchased these books November 13, 2014/ The transaction number. I really don't want a refund. I would prefer the books instead. It's actually a phenomenal price on those books. If bysome chance I cannot get those books I guess a refund would be acceptable.
Definitly not worth it. I will not be using this website again. I rented 4 books, and because they were now overdue because the day I ordered them the due date was before the semester was over, it will not let me print a return label OR pay for the book in full. I received an email saying it was going to collections because it was late and there is nothing I can do about it.
I am trying to resolve an issue with half.com but there is no way to contact them and get a person on the line. I sold a math book to someone who obviously bought the wrong edition. He claims to half.com that II shipped the wrong item and half.com sent an email to me that I am being debited for the book. First, I am not a book seller so I didn't have an inventory of math books here. I sold one book and he clicked on it, bought it, and I shipped it. Second, I wouldn't know how to defraud someone by listing the wrong ISBN number with the wrong picture since I use Half.com's photos and info. Thirdly, I have no redress- no way to state these facts in this argument. This kid probably dropped the class and wants his money back since the sale was awhile ago and half.com is like a Communist regime.....sellers have no say, no recourse and frankly, they do not care to hear from you. Don't sell on this site. You can get screwed.
Placed my order last week and paid $10 extra per book for expedited shipping, so that I could get my textbooks before classes started. I still haven't received either of the textbooks I ordered, and classes started 2 days ago. When I contacted campusbookrentals, who was filling one of the orders for half.com, I was told that their shipping instructions from half.com were to send the book in 5-8 business days. So I PAID for 4-day shipping (expedited) but did not receive it. Then when I tried to contact the customer service number @ 1-800-545-9857, after pressing option 3, the call automatically disconnects and I cannot get through to a live person. Save yourself the trouble and go through campusbookrentals.com. They provide free shipping to and from, and they actually have a customer service number with a live person to talk to. I will NEVER order through half.com again. It has been a disaster.
I'm sorry but it's not worth the slight savings. I've never received the text book I ordered weeks ago, and my class starts Mon. However they definitely charged my Visa!! When I called the 800 number to see where my order is, it says 'we're an online company, write to us', etc....are you kidding? What kind of customer service is this to not even offer a few hours of chat time or something to answer questions. If I don't receive my book by Mon, I'll contest the charge on my credit card.
This is seriously a joke. I've been having a hard time setting up my personal info and it keeps telling me that it is invalid. The customer service is just a recording and should have someone online to help out. You guys are serious joke. And should get actual customer service and not a pre recording
