Wow I agree this is the worst company I have ever had the mispleasure of dealing with. Seems Im not alone. They promised a 3 day reponse time. I have now lodged an issue with them twice.Ii received confirmations they would repond quickly max 3 days and I have not ever had a single response from them. Dont buy this product. Forerunner 620.Iits crap and usupported by garmin. I feel really ripped off. I upgraded from a nike + . My problem is I couldnt get the heart rate strap to work properly or reliably. From what I can tell Im not the only one. If id had a simple reponse my tolerence would be a lot higher and more forgiving but these people dont care about their customers at all. Very stupid attitude. You start off wanting to love the product but they make it hard to keep this up. As it is I will sell this item on ebay and buy addidas or polar. How disappointing for an american company. I suspect they are on the way out or need to do a product recall and are avoiding it. Garmin are not a sustainable business model. Not following through with existing customers will cost this company. Now i exercise without wearing the product. How ridiculous but I the reesults it produces are worthless..

I contacted costumer service about trouble I had been having with my new forerunner 210. The women that I spoke to was extremely rude and condescending. I was not impressed!!!

I have been a Garmin forerunner user for several years and I've had constant problems with and have had to send it back twice under warranty but the rebar watch they return to me is no better than the original - it has a different problem. Now my warranty has expired only 30 days after receiving my second rehabbed watch and now it doesn't work either so I'm out $250. This company's products sucks!!!!!!

I have been a Garmin customer for over 4 years. I recently tried to update my nuvi 1350. The update totally messed up everything on my Garmin (favorites, locations, etc) I contacted customer support and did what they suggested (which wasn't that helpful but at least maybe I could get things back like they were before the update). My 1350 is now even worse than before. Will never recommend a Garmin product again! I've even tried resetting it to the factory settings. That was hopeless too!

I received the most ridiculous response to a call for a USB cord that fit the nuvi 1390 unit that I had. They sent one that didn't work. So I sent a picture with the slot on the unit and the USB cord.

The CSR told me that the reason the cord didn't fit the nuvi 1390 unit because I "didn't have a nuvi 1390 unit." Hmmm, the name on the unit says nuvi 1390. What a dope.

To date I have not received a response to the email replay where I sent a photo of the unit with its name nuvi 1390!

The Worst Company Ever. Customer Service Is A Joke. Wait Time Rediculious And The Dis Connect Even More Frustrating. Never Again Will I Suggest To Anyone To Buy This Product. It's Ashame Since My Garmin Works Beautifully, When It Works. Spent $90 For Life Time Maps, And Can't Use It Since It Doesn't Download Completely After 10 Hours. A Refund Is Being Requested. You Think??????

Called CS and held for 22 min. Finally got someone that tried to help. After trying some things unsuccessfully she supposedly put me on hold to find out if there were any other things to try. After holding for approx. 5 min. the phone connection was dropped.

Re: 2557
The absolute worst CS I have every run across. Basically spent 90 minutes playing 'bet you can't find the right person'. The web site is of even lesser use. Tossing this POS moving on.

Hopeless...nearly one month later and I am still trying to get my Nuvi fixed. My communications with them has been by e-mail and that has been fraught with difficulty. Finally spoke to someone today (4th time I have tried contacting them by phone and finally go through) who apologised etc and now tells me they will express post a replacement. If I had known how shocking customer service is I would never have bought a second Garmin recently for my partner. My Nuvi died exactly one year and one day atfer registering it! It is my intention to advise consumer affairs of my experience and I will never buy Garmin again.

Purchased a new Garmin, registered on net but unable to download maps. After telephone consultation with Garmin asked to return SatNav. (This is brand new and never been used). Also asked to leave micro sd card in. After approx. 2 weeks received a "refurbished" SatNav AND no micro sd card. Naturally spoke to Garmin who maintain that they have fulfilled their obligations in accordance with warranty terms. So, I paid for a brand new Garmin, never used it and ended up with a refurbished item which would have cost me some 40% less than what I originally paid. They have offered to pay me for the micro sd card. I supplied the receipt but I am still waiting some 2 weeks later. I am now in the process of writing to the CEO to express my disgust.
A morally dishonest company and possibly legally as well.

Wasted 90 minutes of my time trying to download and update maps for my GPS and still accomplished nothing. I was able to download it to my computer but then it wouldn't download to my device. Complete waste of my time.

Garmin website doesn't recognize me and has locked me out today, a Saturday, with no recourse until at least Monday. I am traveling tomorrow - outdated map is now their responsibility.
I can't believe this is an international company where Customer Service leaves at Friday at 5 pm, and says in their email they will get back to me within 3 business days!
I will not buy Garmin again, and will tell all I can about their lousy service.

B.S.. I can not wait 30-35 min for next aval specialist. Thot this was called customter service, well, it stinks!!!! Will never purchase any garmin again!!!

The only way to speak with someone, instead of a recording, telling you it will be a 35 minute wait,is to hit the number for ordering. Of course,a live operator will answer promptly,as they think you want to make a purchase.I ordered a manual this way, instead of printing 73 pages. Now,I will write back if I actually receive this in the mail.

I will never buy another Garmin again. Total frustration with trying to update the map. THEIR software on THEIR device is not recognized by THEIR site software. My PC recognizes the device just fine, but somehow one Garmin software cannot talk with another Garmin software. Then they tell me it is probably a problem with my computer - spyware or malware or something like that. NOT! Scanned clean by three different anti-spy anti-malware programs. So try another computer they say. I do, still the same problem. I doubt these people even know what softwarer is. I was on with somebody calling himself tech support, then transferred to "software" or alternatively "programming." After I am transferred, guess what? Yup, I have to explain the WHOLE thing all over again and they guy is confused as to why I referred to the previous guy as tech support. Like he was really hung up on that because HE is tech support. Look, buddy, all I know is what one Garmin employee told me about another Garmin employee....wait, I see a pattern here... not only is their software unable to talk to each other, their employees don't either!!!

Never again. My old TomTom updated fine, never malfunctioned, and gave me two miles warning to the exit at freeway speeds versus Garmin's one mile, which is not enough in heavy and fast moving traffic. Back to TomTom, the Garmin is going to recycle, but I will break it first so they cannot refurbish it and pass the misery on to someone buying used stuff off woot.

I like the fact that when you call Garmin you speak to an American in America.

When was the last time that you called for support with any other company and spoke to am American?

I have just puchased my 2nd garmin nuvi gps. The model a nuvi50LM. I am very disappointed that it does not include an owners manual.I also have a nuvi205. Iam seriously considering returning the nuviLM because of Garmin not including the manual. I will not pay extra for a manual. I consider this very poor product service. Please inform me where and how I may acquire a manual free of charge. If this is not possible, I will return the product and let any considering garmin, to check out other companies. My phone # is . Thank you for your assistance. Gary Engelhardt

Having trouble with a several year old Street Pilot.Could be something as simple as the cord plug in to the aux input in the car. The main number (press 1) answered in about 2 minutes and the young man had several suggestions, was concerned and helpful and is going to send me a replacement cord so I can do a software update...at no cost to me. For all these bad experiences, mine so far has been good. If I have to ultimately buy a new unit, I would go back to Garmin.

I have a Garmin C340. Had it for a while. Bought the lifetime update for the maps at an additional $129.71. Been trying to update the maps from my computer to no avail. I contacted customer service at 800-800-1020 om 10-9-12 and they informed me the update is too big for the C340, so that was a worthwhile purchase.

Good luck Garmin ever tring to get me to buy another one of your products.

This is totally unacceptable!

Bought a Garmin product.
Having technical issues on start up. Garmin Australia support non-existent. Phone, email, no response. FAQ page has been turned off!!!
Extremely disappointed. Please spread the message and hopefully prevent other customers being ripped off and wasting their hard earned money.
