Easily the most incompetent, inept, irresponsible, insensitive, irreverent company I have ever had the displeasure of interfacing with wtih. It is remarkable they can stay in business.

What a joke cablevision is. Nearly impossible to get someone on the phone. The storm was over 2 weeks ago and still no service. I was lucky enough to have a technician to my house to reconnect my cable to the main line & was told by him there was no service in the main line. Prior to his visit I was told in the phone that there was service. Clearly somebody is wrong

LIPA service running just fine; but Cablevision out since approx. 4AM this morning; none of their phone numbers answering, recordings of "...busy due to high volume, leave call-back number, additional charge may be made..." - BUT I DON'T HAVE A CALL BACK NUMBER!!!MY TELEPHONE IS THROUGH CABLEVISION!!!

Called Optimum every day since Wed 7th that power was restored but no cable, internet or phone. I have called every day since the 7th only to reach customer service after 15 minutes of holding to be told No ETA for our area. This company is so sad. I told them that two older gentlemen across the street have part of a pole with the cable lines across their driveway. These two older men don't have cell phones and if they require emergency care they will have to figure it out since no one has been here yet. If my neighbors get Verizon Fios back I will switch once Vrizon fixes the cable lines. Optimum is horrible and should be ashamed.

Cable went out again! Trying to get through to customer service is ridiculous!! CABLEVISION NEEDS TO GET THEIR STUFF TOGETHER!

Horrible customer service. No cable for our whole block. Neighbor with Verizon Fios got service back last week. Cablevision should be embarrassed. You can't even get thru to customer service.

My entire street is still out. We have all caled numerous times to alert cablevision that the cables are hanging in the road obstructing school bus traffic. The inane customer service people keep sending service people to individual houses and quickly see that the problem is not in the home itself. Even when showing the moron technician that the lines are down cablevision cant seem to understand that the lines are down and send someone to repair the line. To add the the stupidity the moron at customer service actually asked for our telephone number - forgetting that we actually use their phone connection we is down. one would think that they at least could think this far. They just keep scheduling more service technicians to waste their time coming out to not be able to do anything. It is absolutely clear that this company is inept and has zero ability to communicate with itself or anyone else. Im using a mifi to provide internet to all my computers . My only hope is that this technology develops and beomes efective enough to wipe this incapable company off the map. Can't wait for the day.!!!

UNABLE TO ASCERTAIN IF HAVE CABLE SERVICE AT MY BUSINESS...NO ANSWERS/COMMUNICATION OR ONLINE TOOL TO ENTER ZIP CODE EVEN TO FIND OUT ABOUT PARTICULAR AREAS. POOR COMMUNICATION! COULD HOOK UP GENERATOR FOR ELECTRIC IF KNEW WHEN DOING SO WOULD ENABLE A RESTORED CABLEVISION SERVICE SO THAT WOULD BE ABLE TO AT LEAST ACCESS INTERNET AND PHONES TO RUN MY BUSINESS WHICH IS MY LIVLIEHOOD AND THE LIVLIEHOOD OF MY EMPLOYEES....ON A BROADER SCALE....DEVASTATING TO L.I. We have had power service but not cable internet or phone from the beginning of this storm . Cannot reach anyone to discuss when it will be repaired. Horrible service...I will be switching to Verizon.

Lost power 10/30 for a few minutes; lost Cablevision still out; no longer acceptable; I missed all of the election coverage; unacceptable.

Now I am a FIOS customer so is my neighbor who had the same problem. Another neighbor had both electricity and FIOS working.

Cablevision will lose big time in this storm.

our power was restored after 6 days of outage. phone and internet out. 3 of 5 tvs were operable. phoned cablevision to avise of service status. They came to my home while i was a work and disconnected the working 3 tvs. now no services of any kind. if not repaired for election night tonight i will discontinue and switch to FIOS.

Power is on since Wednesday cable telephone and Internet still out.

cablevision has been out since monday all the neighbors who have fios got it back asap..what is the problem we have called many times only to be told that they are working on it...plan to have a whole lot of customers cancelling real soon.. this is not the first time every time power goes out we loose cable..what are we paying for!!!!!

Have to reboot 2 cable boxes about once/week. Cablevision, after long, long hold times first blames me, then tells me how to reboot.

This is the worst experence I have ever had 3days agoi lost 3TVs because all of a sudden they needed boxes to work without any warning the guy came on Wednesday he had 12 boxes in his truck and for somede reason only 1 of them worked he said that on Thursday day would come between 5 N 8 I asked him if I should call and make the appointment he said no he already did it on Thursday about 7 o'clock I called to see what the status was I was told that there is no appointment made for me I was transferred to 3 other departments and when all was said and done now I have to wait till freakin Sunday for them to come that's 6 full days without my TV this is ridiculous cablevision does not know what they are doing

Called cable vision about a reception problem on all 4 TV's, took 30 min on hold to get somebody. was told somebody has to come out to check the boxes on Monday, that leaves me with bad TV for 4 days. I really don't think 4 boxes can go bad at the same time and waiting for service 4 days is not acceptable. Seriuosly thinking about getting Direct TV.

FOR ALMOST A YEAR I AM TRYING TO DO A "NAME CHANGE/ACCOUNT TRANSFER" FROM MY FORMER ROOMMATE TO MYSELF. SINCE MAY OF 2011 EVERY MONTH I'M MAKING INQUIRIES OVER THE PHONE EXPLANING THAT MY ROOMMATE MOVED OUT AND ASKING TO CHANGE ONE NAME TO ANOTHER.I'M GETTING A PROMISE BUT NOTHING COMES IN MAIL.LATELY THE BILL ISN'T COMING TO MY ADRESS SINCE THE FORMER ACCOUNT HOLDER MOVED OUT AND MAIL IS NOT DELIVERED. HOW ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE?

I am not a Cablevision customer but I have been receiving a monthly bill at my address for someone who does not reside here and never did. Needless to say I have been returning these bills. I called Cablevision and spoke to Joe about the prolem and he tried to locate this customer unsuccessfully. I was told that I would continue receiving this bill since noone will follow up on my complaint or try in the future to reach this customer. I was also informed that the only other solution would be for me to subscribe to Cablevision.

I disconnected Service on 10/12/11. Returned equipment 3 days later to the main office in Piscataway, NJ. Billing due date for the period 10/07/11-11/08/11 due on 10/22/11. They posted new statement on 10/14/11 including the current and addition billing from 11/07/11 - 11/15/11. Called Billing department on 10/27/11 after 30 minutes of discussion to send me adjusted bill on new address where I moved. 11/07/11 Posted same amounut billed they posted on 10/14/11 which is due 11/22/11. Still waiting on their adjusted bill to new address which nevermade it. On top of it Collection agency called today threatening if I don't pay full amount they will report to credit agency. Conference with Billing and they applogies not sending me adjusted statement. Credit Collection would not budge for it after listening whole conversation all they want money to avoid creadit reporting. I paid full amount and Credit collection company tells me they were helping me my a**. I have to break my head with billing again to get my money back.

Approx. last year Bresnan became Optimum I had a bill for $100 approx then returned all the equipment and cancelled account - never received a bill then salesman for optimum stops by house and I know owe 450.00. Wondering about the legality of that interest rate, will contact Todd Brechner's office or Lisa Rosenblum's office and if not able to help resolve this I will go to FCC and "lawyer up". oNLY HAD BRESNAN MAYBE 1 YEAR-WTHECK

I just became a customer of cablevision and I am very dissapointed . every other day I come home to see a message on the tv saying my channels are not available. I have the service maybe two weeks and I have call them four to five times. I'm ready to got to verizon I 'm that fed up.

will be going back to cablevision store for the third time tomorrow to get a new box. since they went all digital one of my tvs needs a convertor but despite bringing the manual to show them that it needs a cable input they insist that I can hook-up with three cables people there are nice but they are not taught basic hookups

I too am a fed up cablevision user; same problems as others reported here; we have consistently and ongoing voice breakups, scrambled picture consistently which is often so bad that we quit watching programs; we had the repair folks here four times and no luck; can't wait to end this contract.

I am not one to bash and complain but am really reaching the end of my rope with Cablevision. The service you receive for the money paid is terrible. There are times when the entire time you are watching, whether local stations or cable programs that there are persistent sound hiccups and picture break up. I am cuurrently shopping for new lap top and when I find one it is goodbye to this garbage and hello to FIOS, which also offers a double play price for just internet and tv so you are not forced to take waste of money landline which Cablevision forces on you with their triple play

I am crrently tuned in to local station trying to watch a football game and see nothing but a broken up visual and no sound; what a joke
