I have been banking with us bank for about 5 years. This year around may they have decided to start charging me overdraft charges about twice a month totaling aprox $500. They claim it's for some reason or another and I show proof that it is not at that point they will change their story and say it is something else at that time I will present a receipt or screen shot of my account with times and dates. Again they change their story and once proven wrong again they just flat refuse to help me understand why and in most circumstances deny compensating me for my charges and troubles.

My account was overdraft on tuesday 15, I called to see why. They told me it was overdraft monday 14 from a check that was cashed on the weekend. First, I am suppose to receive text notification if my account overdrafts. Second I checked my account balance before midnight 14th, after midnight and then around 8 am 15th and the account was in the positive. My check was automatically deposited from work and as soon as it was my account was thrown into the negative. They had added a check cashed on the 15th to the 14th. I knew the check was supposed to go through the previous friday so I was carefully watching my account. Even checked with the person cashing the check who verified it was cashed on the 15th! They claim it was cashed on the weekend and was processed sometime before the 15th. I have screen shots of the account and proof! they refuse to help me so I closed the account

A friend of mine wrote me a check which I deposited and then made a cash withdraw after checking the balance before and after the transaction. (A week later) they charge me 2 overdraft fees and a check return fee. They told me first that it was because the check isn't readily available upon deposit. I did some research and found that actually it is up to a certain amount I confronted them with this evidence and a receipt from checking my account balance after the deposit. Then they said it was because a check was cashed on my account for my rent. So I showed them the receipt from before and after showing them that that cash was accounted for as well. then they say that it was because all these transactions were done on a weekend. (It was a thursday, non holiday) So after they ran out of stories and I had proven they had made a huge mistake they refused to help me. Also they didn't send me a text notification like they were supposed to and I mentioned that as well. nothing. ALSO WE CONTACTED MY FRIENDS BANK AND THEY SAID THERE IS NO REASON THEY SHOULD HAVE RETURNED THAT CHECK!
