I'm Harry, daily plus Sunday subscriber, Account No. 230955. Been a subscriber for many years, and I am NOT a chronic complainer, usually, but ... I have complained several times within the last few months. Last Saturday I found my Globe down in back of the shrubbery in front of the front porch, and THIS morning, Tuesday, May 24, the paper was down on the walkway from the sidewalk, half way out of the single plastic sheath, and the exposed part was soaking wet right through the exposed part of the whole paper. Our letter carrier picked it up and placed it on the porch when he delivered my mail at around 10:00 AM. It had been left on the short walkway off the sidewalk into the stairs. All I ever requested was that the Globe be put on the front porch, and I can't believe anything is simpler. It may require a few extra seconds to get close enough to the front stairs to toss the paper with certainty that it will land on and stay on the porch. I have been tipping the courier, whoever it has been, $8.00 per billing period, and $50 at Christmas time for a number of years. In return for the tipping, I expect those few extra seconds to be spent to insure that the paper is on the porch. Wife and I are 83 years old this year, and it seems like little enough to ask so that we don't have to venture off the porch to retrieve the papers. If the problem continues, I will resort to picking up the papers at a local store, in spite of the inconvenience. Please lean on the courier to deliver the Globe as, I'm sure, you have directed him/her to do, anyway. Thank you! Harry
