I have been having problems with my Vonage service for three days. The person who is calling me hears much interference AND there is a 10 second delay in them receiving my replies and my getting theirs. I have called tech support several times, going through all of the voice activated questions, eventually becoming connected to a real person (last one today was Steve) only to be totally disconnected and hearing a loud "beep,beep, beep" like a busy signal that does not stop...and no one ever calls me back. My husband is ill and I NEED my phone service. How am I to get help?

Tried for 2 months to cancel my acct. Keep getting charged and hung up in when I call!!

I am an X-vonage customer. The only other companys I have gotten this mad at is Comcast and At&t.

I bought a vonage modem at Fry's Electronics in Webster, Texas. When I tried to get vonage service and use my vonage modem they would not allow it. I had and the modem they insisted on sending one. I can't return the 1st modem to Fry's and vonage won't allow me to use it.


American business, aren't they great.

I cancelled Vonage due to dropped calls , delays in conversation , poor service due to the fact they told me it would work great with satellite which is not true. I called and cancelled and after much discussion was lucky they agreed to waive the fee for cancelling. Since then I have been charged the $100 fee two times, had to pay to stop payment and have again received a bill. I am very frustrated and hope others do not fall for the low cost advertising. You get what you pay for. I am still trying to resolve this issue.
Be aware and research before you buy!!

I am a former Vonage customer who spent the better part of an hour and a half getting through to a representative in the states. All I wanted was to have Vonage stop sending me mail solicitations on what has become a nearly weekly basis. Instead of assisting me with this simple request, I was shuttled between offices in East Asia and Latin America. The last person in one of the South American offices told me that there was nothing he could do and no "he could not transfer me." I had to either "talk to him or no one." I finally got a hold of someone in the New Jersey office who offered to help me remove my name from your database. If this sounds like an over reaction it is only because my past customer experience with you was so dismal. I had hoped to never contact or be contacted by Vonage again.

The only problem I've had with Vonage is their outsourcing to India. I cannot understand the dialect, which leaves a person very frustrated. C'mon Vonage take it to the USA

I have never had a frustration with Vonage

but now I am so frustrated.

I call the phone # customer service

then I get several minutes of trying to sigm me up for a trip to the Bahammas ...

call back and then get trying to sign me up for a card for walmart ...



COME ON - I called for business ...

after listening for several minutes, I was advise to hang up and call another vonage #



I will not put up with this ... if this continues, then I will switch carriers ...



Finally got someone who did his best to answer by question about international calls

If this company does not get tech support who speak better English and who know what they are doing, they will never get a good rating from me. I have spent over 3 hours trying to get help and one agent even hung up after he had me switching cables for a half hour. The instruction about how to get the number transferred is not clear and now I do not have a number at which I can be reached. I am so angry!!!!!

People please never use VONAGE, is the worse thing can happens to you. I close my account and they keep charge money to my credit card. I have to cancel my home number, close my credit card, many months of strugle trying to reverse the charge.
People who work there so ignorant, not professional, not body know what is doing and they lie to you. Never get VONAGE!!!

on the cell phone with tech. support over 2days and five hours. my phone is not working .i cannot make a call. when i receive on the cannot here me . try this than that my cell goes dead an no one follows up on the problem. cell. what happened to the service. it was excellent for 4 months. Help s.w.1-2-13 also 3hrs. on1-3-13.

Day and Night! I called about a simple question regarding my billing (am a new customer) my first call went to India (assuming due to strong accent) the lady could not help me at all and at first seemed to have taken my call without being ready for me I just heard a busy room in the background for about a minute or two of me just saying "hello?". She was terrible just kept repeating what I paid last month. When I asked for a supervisor she said they would just tell me the same info, and that i did not have pending charges even thought I could see clearly on my account that I had pending charges which I wanted to understand further. I hung up frustrated and called back right away hoping to get someone else. This time I landed in Mexico on the phone with a very nice lady who spoke perfect English and who helped me with my questions.
So for me to rate this I would give it complete 1's for the first call and all 10's for my second call.
Vonage please get yourself together, because based on that first call I was about to cancel my service with you! When I call at&t for my questions with cell or billing questions they have all been within the U.S. and it is so nice to see that. Support American Jobs.

this is not my first time being unable to make a call to Bucharest Romania - my family.
Today after numerous attempt to contact Romania via phone, I called the customer support-
I was on hold, then My call was transferred to someone that spoke Spanish which I do not speak.

I was on hold for more than 15 min.
At this time, I am so frustrated with your service-- you increase my rate without provided any quality to your service.
Please fix my phone so I can call my sick mother in Romania-

Last week I have a similar experience -- and again I lost a lots of time.. besides my entire system crushed while troubleshooting with your technician,
Now 30 min later the problem has not been solved

Vonage is by far even worse than Comcast when it comes to customer service. Every time you call for customer assistance you are connected to a representative in India or the Philippines who barely speaks English, is unknowledgeable and is extremely rude. Forget about trying to "port" your existing phone number to another provider as this company will not permit it. Customer service does everything is can to delay your order and keep you from canceling your account with the company. My Vonage modem has been down and I've had no service for more than one week and the representative keeps telling me that the problem is on my end.

I will never use Vonage again, the customer service is very poor and they don't care about their customer's problems ,I cancelled my service less then a month after using their service. No money back guaranty but instead they keep pulling money from you account before you leave them. Vonage is making a complete false advertisement,I'm so surprised how come this company is still around and people still singing with them like I did believed on their advertisement so stupid I was.

I tried to call Vonage today inquiring about service. I could not understand a word the lady in the Philippians was saying, I finally just hung up. She said she could not connect me to a U.s. REP.
If they ever want my business, they will have to do a better job of hiring American people who can speak English.

On with the search. Anyone have another idea on service?

i ordered sounded like a good deal well when got to new place recieved phone from ups. sent back the same day writing on the box cancel my order well didnt here nothing and 3 months in a row 33usd were takin off my debit card called card company to find out it was vonage takin the money with out my approval called they then canceled the order but said they never recieved the phone back ups always returns to sender so now june and finally able to leave message with executive response team lets see if i get my money back for a service i didnot even use let alone they had no authority to take money from my debit card and they still wanting me to get there service whats up with that ray gates in n.c. very dissatisfied

TRIED THEM FOR A DAY. KEPT GETTING JERKS IN ANOTHER COUNTRY & IMMEDIATELY CANCELED & RETURNED EQUIPMENT. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH COMPANIES THAT OUTSOURCE THEIR JOBS. KEEP THE JOBS IN THE USA.

Hi I tries to call my friend on Vonage landline phone.I could hear the ring and answering voice mail but He says he has disconnected the phone since long.

So is this the drawback of Vonage that even in disconnected state it rings?

becoming really poor service n calling to india land line it is just too bad n sound quality is really really bad now.. used to be so good but not anymore. and reaching to them it is nearly too hard donot have vonaage if u have choice..

Extremely frustrating! After being a customer for more than six years, my service was cancelled through some unexcuseable screw-up on Vonage's part as a result of my brother cancelling his account. My attempts to be restored were met with total incompetence that escalated to the point of my telling them to leave it cancelled and I got service from another provider, but in THAT process I had to surrender a phone number that we had owned for nearly half a century. After having nothing but praise for Vonage for six years, I will never have anything good to say about them again!!

Leaving a customer on hold for long periods of time such as 25 minutes plus is not acceptable. Telling that customer after being on hold all that time that you will call back in an hour and never calling them back is also totaly unacceptable. Not everyone has computers or computer knowlege

Well my story goes a little something like this:

On Friday May 20th, 2011 I was reading through some mail for the day one of the letters that I had recieved was a Vonage add. You know the one, 14.99 for the first 3 months and then 25.99 every month there after.

Well,not really understanding how the whole phone through the internet thing works I decide to call and get as much Info as possable. I call the 800 number located on the paper that I was reading and spoke with Leann who said that she was in China who BTW spoke with a very broken accent and I asked to be switched over to a Rep in the US (sorry but I believe in putting our own people to work before someone else's) Leann then told be that I had to call back in 5 hours (hmmm) so I look around and peak at the clock on the wall and its 2pm my time (here in Nevada) so back east would be 5pm right?

Hmmm...doing the math in my head I dont understand why a US rep would start at 7pm and only 7pm. So I tell Leann that I will try back then. I hang on and dial again, this time I get Amanda who said that she is in the Philippines so I ask her to switch me to a agent in the US and she said " didnt you just call?" hmmmmm. So I ask her how she could know that if I didnt give any info to them and if Leann was in China and not sitting with Amanda how could she possibly know?????

SHE HUNG UP ON ME!!!!

Definitly wont be using Vonage!!!
