i called Magnavox and asked for TECHNICAL support.
they are only cutomer service, NOT technical support.
they are worse then no help at all.
they did not even know what a SPDIF connection on the back of one of their LCD television is.
i will NEVER buy another Magnavox product.

Have a Magnavox ZV457MG9A VHS/DVD player. Bought it in 2009. Audio does not work on any feature TV/VHS/DVD. Called Magnavox and asked how to get service. Talked to a customer service, Linda. She started with how far away the 2 service locations were then gave me 2 telephone numbers. One didn't work. The other wanted to charge more for the repair then I paid for the unit. Not very good customer service or repair service. After looking at all the Magnavox problems, no more Magnavox products for me.

Bought a 42" magnavox less than 2 years go. Picture goes black then comes back. This just goes on and on. No help on website or from cust service. And no email? Really. They should change their name to piece of crap.

I own a 42" LCD magnavox. It's about 3 years old. Called the tech. Support line and was on hold for over 20 minutes so that they could just give me a # for a place to look @ it that's 3 hours away!!! It just decided to crap out today! Went to turn it on and it was tweeting like there's a bird in it! And smelled like it was gonna burn my house down! Piece of garbage! I'll never buy another magnavox again!

I have had trouble with 2 Magnavox t.v.'s since late October 2011! The first one would not turn on, took it back and replaced it with the same model t.v. Nov. 4th. 2011 It is now March 3, 2011 and the replacement t.v. is out, will not turn on. I have been trying to reach customer service and support since. The number listed in book and on t.v. itself doesn't go anywhere it hangs up on customers! I need help. It's the only t.v. my mother has. (She's 92 yrs old) She no longer reads or crochets.Please contact me 303-978-0324 Theresa. Thank you

OMG! DONT call the 800-704-2000 number its a waste of time. The 866-341-3738 was a real person but could not help me turn my tv on. They said they've been getting this problem a lot. I need help to turn my tv on! If you can help please call me 512-569-0637

this is ur idea of help? I just paid almost $200 for ur product and u want me to pay to figure out whats wrong? ill put this piece of crap back in the box and get my money back! ill go buy a $40 dvd player cause that's all I ended up with! Thanks magnavox!

the 800-705-2000 Magnavox customer service support number is useless unless you have a current warranty or own a LCD TV. There is NO customer support for users who have older out of warranty TV's or any options for a chat line or an email address to send an inquiry to.

I have a Magnavox VCR on which the VCR.Timer, and Record indicator lights ,as well as the Power button started tok blink.At the same time, the piocures on the TV to which the VCR is attached sarted to flicker. I tried to get an answer from your consumer services division but much to my surprise, after entering the pertinent information, I was confronted with a request for payment. That was a surprise!!! So much for customer service

My 26inch Magnavox tv just stopped working all I did was unplug it to plug in something else and plugged it back in and BAM it would not come on.All I can see is the standby light blinking red I called the service center and the Represenative told me that he could not assist me with this matter. He stated that my standby light was blinking because something was wrong internally and I needed to take it to a repair center. This bothers me because I spent $400.00 on the tv and now I have to either get it repaired or get a new tv. Thanks Magnavox for nothing. Signed SINGLE MOTHER OF TWO.....

I cant seem to get anyone to help me regarding the problem I am having with my Mag TV. I did purchase it in 1994 and suddently it went black and makes a humming sound! I sure would like to know if I need to replace it and if I do I am disabled and low income now and cant afford one anyway! It is sad that they don't have a free customer service number for customers like us!

4 year old Magnavox piece of sh-- Lcd TV had it repaired under warrenty(had to wait 3 months) didn't even last 9 months and burnt up again,I took it apart found a refurbished power supply called Magnavox and basically they told me too bad they cant help me.The guy told me that they don't carry parts very long because the tv's are'nt suppose to last very long. I told him it would be the last Magnavox I ever buy and he said he did'nt care.

I have a 1995 T.V. it suddemnly wnnt dead. Even though this model is outside of warrenty I do not feel it was nice or polite to say there is no advice the technican can give me over the phone. His advise was bring it to ta repair shop. Well if I must purchase a new T.V. this arttitude will way heavily on my decision to purchase a Magnavox. Would it really hurt to advise why the T.V. suddenly went dead while changing channels. There may me nothing wrong with it but your company refuses to help in any way. I was told I needed a new fuse, available online at Magnavox. Again refusal to advise or assist. Terrible business pratice. I know you want to sell new T.V.'s but I am unemployed and can not do that now. Thanks for nothing.

Spent over $1,000 on an LCD Magnavox TV about 3 years ago. Gradually things started happening. One day the audio suddenly stopped working. So we bought external speakers and hooked those up. Then it started to take 3 full minutes of pressing the "on" button to turn the TV on. The "on" light kept flickering on and off and sometimes it would turn off on its own. 3 years is not a lot of time to own a TV and have it not work anymore.
Today we bought a Vizio. I WILL NEVER, EVER, EVER buy a Magnavox product EVER again. Buyer Beware!

I tried to get the remote codes for a magnavox rce/dvd model mwd 2206
I was told that the company does not know the codes or how to get them
was told to call the company that made the product MAGNAVOX COMPANY MADE IT
the guy I talked to would not even tranfer me to someone that knew anything about these products
and offered no other form of help to me
next time I will buy from another company

Your customer service stinks and so does your website (which in most cases doesn't even recognize your own products). All I want is the answer to a simple question: Will your VHS/DVD RECORDER model #zv420mw8 record on a dual layer or two sided disk? This shouldn't be the week long nightmare it has been, and that's completely your own fault. Please answer the question.

I was told TV has a 1 yr warranty and the screen went blue/pixel-y at 1 yr 11 mos. Was told to go online and troubleshoot it myself.

I purchased a magnavox from Sams In Altoona
in Dec of 2007. In March of 2008 the TV made
a popping noise and the TV toataly shut down
The TV was under warranty we got it fixed.
On May 10 2010 it made the same popping noise
and toatly shut down.
I have tried to reach Magnavox but unless
you have a warranty the computer answering
service will not let you talk to anyone that
is human.Its pretty bad when you pay a lot
of money for a TV and the warranty is up and
the people of MAGNAVOX could care less if you get your TV fixed or not.I will never
buy another MAGNAVOX product!!!
Is there anything we can do to make MAGNAVOX
help us? I think MAGNAVOX has a serious
problem with there TVS and they should have a recall on these piece of JUNK MODLES.

I bought a VCR DVD combo player and didn't use it for a good 3 months when I finally did use it I used it maybe a week then boom no explination it just stopped working. I took it to Walmart and they told me the 90 day warranty was up, whitch I thought was a year warranty so that really pissed me off then I called customer service and they said I can't get my money back but they will for sure fix it. So I got kinda happy. They told me to take it to alfa electronics which is over an hour and a half away so that made me a little flustered. When I dropped it off everything was fine. But then I get a call saying its a sixty dollar repair! That's a load of s?!t. Now ima go ahead and try to fix it myself or if I can't do that ill have the pleasure of throwing it in my fire. I hate magnivox. Nobody go with them!

My 42" LCD flat screen TV is less than a year old. The hand held control failed three weeks ago. I just picked up the TV from the "authorized service center", only to be faced with a repair bill over $200. Oh, did I fail to mention the part cost $4.50? Do not EVER purchase a Magnavox product........EVER!!

I just called magnavox to find out why my TV has audio but no video. I was told to go to the website and found out they will not even answer a question if the warranty is up. I am looking for a new TV and will not get another Magnavox ever. Their customer service is the worst, they care nothing for their customers once they have your purchase $$. Lets hope this poor company goes out of business for lack of customers.

SUCKS!!! ive had to fix this MP3 player 4 times since I bought it and ive only had like 6 months. NOw its totally conked out!! ALl the songs i had are lost for the last time!! Im getting a new one and it will not be a magnovox!!!!!

I was dismayed to find that Magnavox does not retain techinical information on any TV unit that is out of warranty. All I needed was a new 12-volt power cord for an extremely expensive Magnavox AC/DC unit that came with a high end RV we just purchased. Unfortunately, the 2-year warranty on the Magnavox TV unit has expired. But Magnavox would be delighted to sell us a new TV for the RV if we can't replace the power cord....
