What a terrible freaking company. I just got online to ask if I could get help with my router. I bought my router from wall-mart 24 hours ago. I followed all directions, and my modem wasn't producing a wi-fi signal. I tried 3 laptop, 2 iPhones, and a Nintedo DS, none of them even found the signal. I went to online chat, and the girl didn't know what to do. She was so stupid. She got her manager, and he/she couldn't help me either. Then they tell me I have to pay $129.95 to reset, and fix my modem. I payed less for the router itself. I am just gonna buy a different brand. Screw linksys/cisco products. They all suck. I can't wait till cisco shuts down.

i took an update my router prompted me to and it wiped everything and wouldn't take my password.after an hour with some indian support they said it was a problem with my network and they could fix it for a charge.everything worked fine till i took that update,asked for a supervisor and got the same thing.i would rather buy another brand router than pay them,after 30 mins i fixed the problem without their "help"

Same song -- different verse! I just called to get help with my Linksys Router because it won't allow other wireless devices to connect. The woman in the Phillipines informed me that I would need to pay $29.95 to have someone reset my IP addresses. I made sure she understood that they had set them up originally and obviously did something wrong. She kept saying she needed me to pay. I asked for a manager and she said "If and or when I transfer you to a manager, they will tell you the same thing." I asked to speak to someone in the US and was told that wasn't possible. I guess I won't be purchasing anything from Cisco Linksys again.

Tried to connect modem to E1500 Linksys router and finally called customer support which after hours said my computer had to be cleaned up inorder for this to work and the least amount of money to fix this issue would be $79.99 and that would be for 2 sessions and the best deal I could find anywhere just look it up...(and I was on a wireless router at work just today and it worked fine- and I am the only one who uses the router on this same laptop which cannot be used to connect this E1500 router). What a crock!!! So, I tried to use another laptop and he said it would not work and I needed to buy the service- so 2 laptops and the fact that this laptop can wi-fi just fine ...I do not know a lot about computers but bad customer support was definitely experienced with this product- I wonder if I can return this product?

They do not deserve to be called customer service. I can't believe they don't care enough to help the ppl who buy their products! Simple they are playing on the fact that some ppl will pay without question when at times the answer is on net somewhere. Greed!!!!

Well I see I'm not the only one that feels Linksys tech support sucks.. I was told my problem would be easy to solve ~ for a price. On a modem that is not that old.. I too won't be held hostage and pay their price, I will take that money and invest it into a different companies router! I understand today is Saturday and the person on the phone probably didn't want to work the weekend, but not my problem ~ she was so rude and unprofessional. ANOTHER good reason to stay away from Linksys!

Purchased a E2500 linksys router, nothing but trouble, IT only worked well for about a week, The tech people were giving me options on how to fix it instead of telling me how to fix it. THey had to mail out a new one, and the new one is so slow everything times out. I guess I will be going to netgear tomorrow.

This is complete BS having to pay for customer service just to find out what is wrong with the wireless.
$24.00 bucks to have someone tell me what to do is not what i call "good service."
I will go out and buy a new router myself.

i love linksys devices i have e4200,wet610n and wap610n andit works perfeclty fine. i called the technical support overseas, my call was misrouted to the philippines and the tech that help me was very intelegent and she's very friendly. i am very satisfied with their technical support. my problem is i need to open a ports for my xbox and in just 15 minutes my xbox works.

You charge for customer service because your stupid router doesn't keep up with my ISP's upgrades? NOT COOL! I'd rather pay $100 for a new 2wire modem from AT&T than to support this type of business for $30.

Will never purchase another cisco/linksys product. After my laptop crashed their expert told me it will cost $30-$40 to get my router working again. Will go out tomorrow and purchase another brand router. This is a total BS way to run a business.

i called 1-800-546-5797 and didnt talk to a camel. but he could speak good english. what ever he was. very helpful and good free tech support. the guy said no charge untll after ninety days??

Although I am forced to renew my warrenty everytime I call with re4peated issues concerning my router. This would be of little concern except that I never, ever receive any real solution to the problems and that is after being told "yes, no problem, we'll get it solved right away and the, after being on the phone for over 5 hours with people who keep handing me over from person to person, having to start over again from scratch, losing phone connections (no one ever calls me back) and having to translate so many things from what ever language they are speaking (it isn't English, for certain!). Conversations invariably end with: "there is a 'magic' wireless button you need to press ... can't locate it ... well then, I can't help you, call Sony, blah, blah, blah, ... Sony has no idea what I am talking about ... back to Linksys, and on and on. I spend a great deal of money and endless hours on the phone and get absolute no help what-so-ever ... until my 10 year old grandson appears and fixes the problem in under 30 seconds ... and his interest is in cinema, not high-tech. Maybe Cisco should start hiring ten year olds ... who actually speak English !!!!!!!!!!!

This is an outrageous fraud. Your incompetently worded connection directions assume an external modem which I have not had since 1995, nor have most people I know. You want almost as much money to get appropriate setup directions as the router cost. This should be included with the purchase price. I will attempt to connect this myself but if I am not successful I will return the router to the retailer and leave very negative feedback on every forum I can find.

why do I have to pay for customer service that is baloney, because I bought you product I get punished and have to pay more money, I think not and I am sure you will being putting yourself out of business.
