We have always been fans of Lexus Brand and owned many Lexus. In trying to purchase another
2019 Lexus, we find that everyone we talk to feels the new SUV and even the ES sedan have too large an incongruous
fronts. We dislike these styles so will not consider purchasing another Lexus until the "brand" figures out that this new
"style" is disliked by many customers. Our favorite style for an ES was actually the 1997 ES. Why, car manufactures
have to redesign a great style into a enormous dud is beyond our imagination.

I would just like to say something about my local dealership...valley Lexus of modesto....I purchased a used fsport 350 from an off dealer...I put it on the local dealership schedule for maintenance. The car had 48k miles, and a full warranty for 70k miles. Shortly afterwards I noticed a problem in the transmission, it slipped out of gear when you punch it and wouldnt go back Into gear until letting go of gas...yes i bought my dream car that i couldn't drive like i wanted. I brought into dealer twice specifically to check transmission...they took it twice along with my payment, came back both times very shortly after, meaning they didnt even look at it, and told me no problems must be a glitch.....well it was no glitch, very shortly after 70k miles, like less than 71k miles guess what, my transmission failed on my dream car that I followed all specifications on...upon having it towed to dealership, almost 100 miles away while working, they wouldnt open doors to put it in safe place, I dropped in lot and told them you're taking it. To get a call in the morning saying, before they even pulled it, your transmission is shot, well duhhh. Then proceeded to tell me it would be 6 grand to fix, plus lot fees.. I told them I had it in twice to have that looked at while it was under warranty, he replied we didnt find anything, gonna cost me 6k...well I brought to the professionals didnt I??? Go off the date I brought it to you for the problem, dont charge me because you suck at your job. Well 5k dollars and performance parts included got me a great transmission, at a non Lexus transmission shop, and a really bad taste in my mouth about Lexus. I have wanted one all my life and worked hard, now this Lexus dealership has me wanting to never walk in a dealership or purchase anything Lexus again, simply because they wouldnt back up their product or their labor...the only reason I am writing now is in Hope's Japan gets word of this dealership and the ways the dealerships are screwing their customers over and giving their car a bad name. By the way they made me take out the swear words in this post.

My '97 Lexus ES 300 driver door won't open from inside or out! How can I open the door or remove the panel? The main bolt holding on the panel is hidden between the dash and closed door panel. PLEASE HELP!

I bought my wife a new Lexus in 2006 for our wedding anniversary. It was an IS250 and has been a good car. Lexus is pretty good about scheduling appointments and serving free food while you wait (whoopee), but lately the door panel and dash recall has tested Lexus customer service and it caused us problems. Even the a/c drainage hose clog was BS. As if we put something under the carpet to clog the hose. Thank God we caught it early before THAT caused more damage. After having the dash panel replaced our navigation system stopped working. Upon complaining, they agreed to "check the connections". Of course, they were "fine". My mistake and recommendation to all customers is before having the dash replaced, go through ALL electronics with a technician to ensure everything works BEFORE they replace the dash. You can complain until you are blue in the face but unless you do that, you are stuck with a new dash and broken electronics. I am pretty sure the dash was replaced WITHOUT THE BATTERY BEING DISCONNECTED. I wish we never had the dash replaced. I had planned on buying another Lexus in time but this changes things. I refuse to support any business after being disrespected as if we were trying to get a nav system replaced that was broken before having the dash replaced. It is belittling to customers to be told you are wrong and they are right. I even had a dash carpet cover so we could have settled for keeping the old one, I never thought this would happen. Goodbye Lexus RC, a broken nav system and a BS procedure has caused me to mark you off my list.
