I would just like to thank all the hardworking com ed men who restored our electric on Sunday instead of tuesday in Lansing,il. My 85 yearold mom and i kive there and was really worried espically about our sump pump. But when i saw those lovely com ed trucks 1 block away within 10 minutes we had power. A huge thank you to all How come across the street on 182nd never loses power? nt upset just asking?

My power is out. It has been out since 4 pm yesterday, a Saturday. The 1-800-334-7661 # states that when the office is closed, calls can still be taken for emergency purposes. It does not say how. I kept pressing 0. I strongly suspect that the assertion is a falsehood constructed for PR purposes.

I called to dispute my bill. I first had to hold for 30 minutes and wait for my call back (which hung up on me by the way). So I called them a THIRD time and after much attitude from the 'customer service representative' who couldn't even access my account because she knew nothing!!!!!!!!, I was put on hold AGAIN to speak to a supervisor (currently been 45 minutes) and I just want to settle and pay my bill. WHY!?!?!?!

i report a leaking problem 2 times to have fix
the transformer is leaking and plants are burned we have a pool 20 feet away from the transformer where can i report this problem
because comed is not doing anything to fix it

I had a successful experience with them. When I called, the recording had me leave my phone number for a return call, which it said would be in 35-53 minutes. They actually called in about 20 minutes. My questions were answered clearly. This seems like quite an efficient system to keep us from waiting on hold!

I would like to say that the driver of truck number 443239 on July 27, 2012 does not belong behind the wheel of his service truck. On two different occasions on 41N/94 he literally ran us onto the emergency lane once and almost took the front end off the car on two separate occasions....never even looked and then got on his cell phone...need to check out your drivers or put how's my driving on the back of your trucks!!!!!

This phone number is nuts. It hangs up on you. Will NOT let you get to anyone. You are told to hold. Then it will hang up on you. This is NUTS. Must be nice to run a business in such an unprofessional manor.

I hate this company, they must have the worst wait time to try and talk to some one. Maybe they do it on purpose just so you will hang up , that way they can charge you extra for something you tried to resolve. Waited 25 mins to talk to someone ,and still didn't. maybe I should charge them for my wasted minuets

Will we get a status update or not regarding service restoration???? Do your field technicians even commmunicate AT ALL with customer service people?? Power out since 1AM and still no status update. I pay FAR TOO MUCH OF MY HARD EARNED MONEY to ComEd to sit in the dark with not even an inkling of an idea when power will be back on!! Hire more techs and crews and stop apologizing for your lousy company and customer service!! Furthermore, communicate SOMETHING to customer service people regarding status updates. Tired of being fed the same BS every time I call or use automated update. Somebody has to know something. This is PATHETIC!!!

ComEd is one of the best companies I have dealt with.


their costumer svc has been efficient and helpful. I have been w/out elec. a few times and ComEd has been responsive to my questions. I think we have been spoiled by their overall good svc....Just look at the rest of the US who are served by other Util. co.s, ComEd is much better, so may I say...'' Thanks ComEd"

We also have been without power since early Sunday afternoon, after having just returned from a very expensive trip to Cosco for meat for a BBQ tomorrow ! while I too am upset with the situation, I have tried to keep a good frame of mind, be thankful for what you have. As a kid, we never had air conditioning, while somewhat uncomfortable sometimes, we survived and we will this time too. Make the best of it,what a great opportunity to defrost both of our freezers and clean them out. There's always things in there that we really didn't want to waste but probably will never use ! Our power just came on a little while ago but has recently begun to flicker again so I'm not holding my breath that it will last thru the night. I did reach a com ed customer service woman last night at about 10pm who said service should be restored by 11:15 pm, it wasn't, but she was extremely nice and I think glad she was not being yelled at. So not all customer service reps are rude, or mean, maybe they're just tired of being yelled at. And don't think I have money to burn, the lost food will not be replaced for quite a while, barely making ends meat but glad to not only have a roof over my head but nice cold running water too!

We have been with out power for almost 3 days now. We have had over $400 in food go bad and we have had to pay for a hotel room because I am pregnant and not safe at home. I feel those of you who are complaining and have had your power restored should be greatful because that's not the case for all of us. Over 340,000 people were without power, they have got it down to 80,000 people now. They are obviously working as hard as they can to get us all restored. SO STOP COMPLAINING!!

getting through to a live person on the customer service line is time consuming and frustrating. I have been trying for over an hour to get through and all I get is a recording and then a busy signal. some customer service after what I pay a month they should be kissing the ground that i walk on.

It appeared to be an overwhelming task cleaning up Lockport after Friday's storm. I appreciate all the work it took getting power restored. Some might say 48 hrs is unacceptable...but in light of how long it is going to take to restore power to the Mid-Atlantic states...I am grateful to Comed. And I appreciate the honest restoration times given. Just hope the rest of the summer is uneventful as far as the weather goes.

Glad they answered my call after tryin for so many hours. Looks like the St. Charles area will be restored with power till approximately 11pm. I don't want to complain any longer glad my house wasn't struck by lighting (everything else was around it though).

ComEd sucks!!!...What customer service???...Wait for over a hour and no answer!!!...No power for over four hours and I didnt see any workers.High prices and crap service!!!...I WISH WE HAD OTHER ELECTRIC COMPANIES TOO PICK FROM!!!!!!!!!!!...My food is going to go bad in the Fridge,i will subtract from my bill because of this.

Comed CS is Horrible. I called in about transferring service and had to deal with an extremely rude and bitter CS Representative by the name of Katrina. It also sounded like I interupted her lunch and coworker conversations. I questioned the process of transferring my service and said I would call back after I talk to CUB (utility watchdog) and for now just gave her a date to stop service at one of the addresses. Her response to that was "we can interupt your service ya know"..what ...because you are bitter and I had a question you didn't seem to have the right answer too??? So glad, Comed's getting killed by all of the new alternatives. How does this lazy, witch have a job? How can she go right to cutting's someone's service because she is cleaerly going through menopause or is just crazy? ALL THE MORE REASON TO SUPPORT ALTERNATIVE ENERGY SOURCES!!

ComEd sucks! I called the English-speaking line, the Spanish speaking line, and even the automated payment line and the hearing impaired line and STILL didn't reach anyone. The English and Spanish lines just rang and rang, with no message even stating that it was ComEd's phone number. Why is ComEd's customer service so poor (especially compared to Peoples Gas, which has an immediate message stating that you're calling the PG customer service line, and connected me to a live representative within a reasonable amount of time).

ComEd, I would've transferred my service online. However, you won't let me do that either because our address (or rather our apartment unit at our address) is supposedly not in your system! Then how & why are we paying our bill every month to you!

Just now--0930-the meter reader did an exceptional thing! I hope that he will be commended for exceptional service. He went to read the meter in the back yard, discovered our pet parrot out of his cage, and made a point of letting me know. I really appreciated this. If the bird had flown away, he never would have survived. I live at 18544 Sacramento Ave in Homewood. It is May 23. Please commend him for me!

My yard has a hole and my sod is killed to day by ComEd workers left a hole and never a note or call not to let your dogs out or not to turn on you sprinkler or we where here dogs can't read yellow tape and don't know that water & Elctric don't mix my yard and my sommer is shot 5/14/12 still have a hole from the first time you did it busted two lawn mowers hitting it Y just Y

I could not find a phone # and just left ComEd a nastygram on their website. Found their number here. I just got done calling, after following your advice. Someone picked up immediately. Seamless. Thank you ComEd. Miracles do occur.

My bill has been 191.00 each month on a budget for over two yrs. Any time I have called on it, they have told me that it's correct. my neighbor has a pool and a hot tub and they pay 150/mo on a budget. hmmmmmm. I called again today and couldn't get thru to a live person. I am a single mom and make only 1000/mo. They are really robbing me and won't do anything about it.
