If we don't start getting better service from CHARTER, and our tv cable stays on...We will be getting service somewhere else..
We are sick and tired of explaining what is wrong, and getting the same excuse, and most of the time, the people we talk with are clear over on the east coast, they couldn't care less...Sure we were important, when we got CHARTER, but forget the problems, they don't even know what is going on, even when they send a tech out... we get calls from a recorded message, that our cable is back on, and the cable, and the tv is always still off, and a promise on the tv screen that the cable will be back on shortly.. last time "SHORTLY" was almost 3 days.......

Had Charter for about 3 months and thought it was great. Then one day everything went out phone, TV and internet. I called at least 14 times over a weeks time. Each time I had to repeat my story. I was promised a supervisor would call back within a certain time frame - no call back from anyone. The last time I called was the day my neighbors across the street were having Charter installed as a new customer. I was told there were no service trucks available and it would be at least 2 days before one could come out. I informed the CSR that there were 2 Charter trucks sitting in my neighbors driveway right now. Couldn't we contact one of them and have them come fix. I was told install and repair techs are different. 2 days later the same tech that installed my neighbors new cable came to fix mine!! He said if someone had told him he could have fixed us in about 5 minutes. There was a bad part in the box at the road. I called Charter back and blasted them - no one really seemed to care. New install they are all over you. Loyal existing customer they could care less about you. I hate it and am thinking of dropping and getting a digital antenna and Netflix!!Charter has horrible service!!!!!

I have fought with charter over a $25 credit supposed to have been put on my bill 3 months ago! They do not care about customers or doing the right thing for them....I was lied to numberous times and am looking for a customer service line that deals with real customer issues and can not find a single person that is willing to do the right thing! They would rather loose a customer than give a promised $25 credit!

No help whatsoever, spin you from one agent to another. Quickly claim to send an email to escalate a fix to your service. take your contact number with a claim of a supervisor returning your call. I know this because I have made over 25 phone calls to them in a 3 week period to get our cable service, internet and phone fixed, which they claim the squirrels have chewed through. The worse service I have ever received in my life from ANYTHING.

My husband and I recently ordered charter service after speaking with the rep at the Marion, NC office. We were given a price as follows: 29.95 ea for Phone,TV, and internet.

The rep Patsy wrote on a card that our bill for the first month would be $101.95
plus $29.95 for installation, not counting tax of course. After speaking with Patsy we decided to chose Charter as our carrier.

When we received the bill it was for $184.10. I do not object paying what is owed but the rep lied to us on what the final bill would be. I checked with the office in Marion, NC and was told that our bill after this first bill would be
$101.95 plus tax. If that is not the amount of the bill when we I receive it next month we will be doing away with Charter as our carrier.

Service is really bad. My network cable has not been buried since last November, 2012 after your service installation. I called a couple of times to the service department. First Call was by the end of installation and you mentioned that the cable would be buried in the next spring. By the end of winter, 2013, I called again and you were promised to buried it in this Spring. Until now, no call and no show. Summer is almost over and I do not know what is the next excuse...

The "customer service link" has nothing to do with customer service, but only the usual sale of lines for devices. It takes care of Charter, not customers.

Bad weather in the the Atlanta metro area caused a tree to fall on the cable line. Called Charter on Sunday to report that the cable line was low lying and impeding traffic. Was told someone would be out...no on showed. The police roped off the street because of the cable line. Called Monday - was told they were aware of the problem and someone would be out today (given a order # and a 2 hr window). No one showed; cable is still impeding traffic. Called back to see why no one showed up and was told that the appointment was for Thursday not today. USELESS CABLE COMPANY WITH NO CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!

I took half day off work to be at house for my tech during the scheduled window. Tech never showed or called. I called GET-CHARTER to see waht was up. THey didn't realy seem to care. I called DISH NETWORK and they are sending install people on Monday

the number published is for new customers only and for SALES. useless post. also - the number cannot transfer you to the customer service queue so you have to hang up.

I have scheduled tech support for internet problems and was told someone would call to verify the appointment and never recieved the call. It has been seven days!

They don"t honor their contracts, service was good company is a pain to do business with. I am cancelling my service because of their refusal to honor there two year cotracts. Customers service is a joke.

Now the brightest bunch, but really in the cable field my expectations arent too high. I rate them above average. Way to go Glenn Cocoa!

It's way past time to give a healthy discount to the customers that have been with charter for decades expecially when they have had more service calls than one could count. I love the service b ut hate the price

Technical help is useless for tv services. Reps know nothing and try to walk you through a chart they are reading from. If nothing is obvious, they immediately sign you up for an appointment with a technician. So far, no technician has ever had to respond since they always find out my complaint is an issue with their equipment at one of their sites. This kind of issue-scrambled reception on one or more channels-occurs frequently with our local Charter unit.

We get very good service from Charter. We have internet, with wireless routers, HDTV and two phone lines that I use for my home office.

Today I needed to change my home office lines to Unlisted (that'll help keep those pesky junk callers away).

The CSR was friendly and actually helped me figure out a way to lower my monthly fees between the phone and internet service while improving my service from 5 MB to 30.

As they say on DD, I'm Happy Happy Happy!

Charter Cable is rated as the worst in Consumer Reports.

It's not surprising considering sevice is out on the average of once a month in our area. Unfortunately for those that have phone and Internet service as well, means they can't even make an emergency call. We would have AT&T and of course the main box is located near a neighbor's lake property and they will not let AT&T access it, so if we want tv all it has to Charter.

I've had two techs out in almost 4 years of having their service. I RARELY have any issues. Their customer service reps are really good too, always kind and help with any issues. Their speeds are amazing too, their slowest speed is 30Mb down and 4Mb up! Uverse slowest speed is 3Mb down and .5Mb up. Two thumbs up to Charter!

This is crazy I just got charter less then a month ago and Im already having problems and on top of that they ran new cable wires and tied across my fance line and said someone would be out within a couple of days to dig to put the lines underground stil no word and I have two big dogs trying to chew the wires I think im going back.to verizon at least I can watch some t.v. Through them charter told me I was suppose to have wi-fi when they.came to hook me up oppose sorry we dont offer wi-fi at this time what kinda bull crap is this

Reach a live person? They're in Michigan! Try reaching one locally. Zip code 28778 was out of power, cable, telephone, etc. for 12 Hours. All services reconnected except new charter lines had to be "spliced" by a line technician. A CHARTER worker driving a CHARTER truck came to our door and told us to call for a technician for "quicker" service. The live Michigan lady said no one else had called about an outage, so they would send out someone tomorrow! (??????) AREA CODE SERVICE! I'm getting punked, right? For over $100 bucks a month without premium channels there HAS to be something better!

I wouldn't use charter again if they gave it to me free for 10 years.The worse company i ever had business with,from corperate on down.Unbelievable.The most unprofessional business i've ever encounter.What a waste of time and the service was horrible also.I'll use rabbit ears if they were the only company around

Have been trying for a week to get in contact with someone in customer service no representatives will answer the phone. I sat on hold for 30 minutes one time all because someone came out & installed a cable box & didn't check to see if it worked before leaving. Worst customer service ever.

Said they would be here between 10-12...they did get here right before 12. The guy was nice but left before he could get my cable box to work. Said to give it a couple hrs and it would come on, their system was "jammed". Guess what?!?! Never came on and they will be back out in TWO days b/t 10-12 again, UGH!!!! I will take Comcast any day of the week over this run around.

Charter sucks. Horrible customer service. Selective understanding. Thieves and liars as far as I am concerned. No shame, no humiliating these losers. No one takes responsibility for anything, no one knows how to lower a bill but increases are automatic and frequent. Forget trying to complain. Customer service gives you the run-around trying to get you off the phone. F charter and f anyone who thinks they're any good. Crooks.
