good Afternoon,

today on the 5.10.2012 at 3.32pm i called the blockbuster store at conder in canberra and i have never in my life experienced such lazy service.
i called in regards to a text message i had recieved earlier today at 2.55pm informing me that i had an overdue dvd
now i am quite certain that i had returned all dvds so therefore i called the conder blockbuster to find out what is going on.
at first i spoke to a young girl by the name of "maddie" who seemed very lost and very bland over the phone she said i had two accounts under my name and then changed her mind and then she started reading out my fees which i was not after at all! i then asked to speak to a supervisor or manager and she informed that there wasnt one present...WHAT KIND OF STORE EMPLOYS SOMEONE WITH A WORK ETHIC SUCH AS THIS GIRL AND LEAVES HER UNSUPERVISED! the phone was handed over to someone else by the name of "marissa" i asked her if she was the superviser and she identified herself as "the oldest one here" ...so not only is there a clueless teenager unsupervised, there is an older woman thinking that age is more important over experience.
she told me the exact same thing as maddie did and i did not need to know that so i asked for the head office number which she didnt give me and said with great rudeness "you cant either call back at 6 when the supervisors here otherwise your stuck with me" honestly what kinda of service is this?

i have always up held a high respect for blockbuster however this is unacceptable! i have never had such rude and lazy service, if these two ladies are the representation of block buster then some action should definitely be taken!

I have Made the online account whch should be 1 month free and it wasn't but this is not a point I have received and sending games back after few exchages I've send them two games back which after that they not receive it or they didnt note that They received it. Ok thats fine but when I ordred the next 2 games they send me a empty covers for the two games which I have sended these before. Anyway I tried sort it out but I have realized that there is no way to contact them. So I have take the holiday for paying so far because I cant cancel my tarrife. THIS BLOCKBUSTER IS A BIG MISTAKE!!!!!

My son is a teenager. He worked very hard at a part-time job. He went to the BlockBuster on Touhy in Niles, which is going out of business. he spent $30.00 of his hard earned money to buy an XBOX game.When he got home he discovered the game was not playable. The people at the store were RUDE, and MEAN and laughed when asked to return the merchandise.. It is one thing to have an "all sales final", but it is another thing to steal from a teenager. Too bad they said, we can not check X BOX games to make sure they work! I give this store and the company a 0.There is clearly a reason they are going out of business.

I recently signed up for Blockbuster's online 30 day trial... BIG MISTAKE! They sent me the same movie twice and never updated the que. I tried calling, worst customer service! Every time I call I get the automated "we are experiencing higher than normal call volumes." I highly doubt that. I emailed and they said I would get a 24 hour response, only to get an automated email right after stating they were recieving higher than normal email volume! I had Netflix prior to this, and I always got a human being every time! Save yourself the trouble, blockbuster is an EPIC FAIL!

I a disgusted with the service. I have sent emails, letters with dvd's , and still they keep sending DVDs. I asked them to cancel my account one month before it was over. Now they have charged my credit card.

I called customer service, the lady cancelled my account, and knew what to do, and was very, nice.

I called today to get an unauthorized charge removed from my credit card and the customer service people told me that they could not help me. They said I would have to provide a supeona in order to get access to the account to find out who had set up the account using my credit card. Unbelievable!! No wonder this company is going out of business!

Blockbuster, through Dish Network is terrible. I have had Netflix for years without a single problem. Never a problem over a lost disk in the mail, nothing. Their service is great. Blockbuster, on the other hand, cannot seem to do anything right. I mailed a movie back to them last Friday. It is now Wednesday of the following week and they have not even acknowledged getting the other movie, much less send out another one. Netflix ALWAYS sent out another movie the same day they received mine. Blockbuster doesn't acknowledge getting it for days, and then doesn't even send out another. They are terrible. I know why they went bankrupt. They should have been kept out of business. They don't deserve to be in business.

I have had the worse customer service from the Blockbuster on Main st in Hamilton Ohio The store manager Arron laughed at me and acted like I was an idiot. I called the BBB and was told the company as a whole has several complaints against them revolving around late charges poor service etc. I guess that is the reason they are slowly going out of business. I worked as a Manager of a large retail company for 25 years and am here to say I NEVER treated my customers this way... Boo on you Blockbuster and Arron your grand store manager of Hamilton what goes around comes around you should treat people better!! Totally digusted

Hello I need to pay an outstanding bill to blockbuster. I received a bill saying i need to pay the fee to an collecting agency due to the fact that blockbuster has bankrupt, i have a 10 days deadline or i will be reported to the credit bureau. however i lost the ppr that was mailed to me and now i don't know where to pay the fee!!! Pls help I dont not want to have bad credit

Held a giftcard with over $20 value which they told me would never expire. Called to check the balance today and was told it was NO LONGER VALID cause they went bankrupt !!! Don't you know they flat out refuse to replace it with a valid giftcard of equal value. Would only offer 5 FREE rentals at their store but wait, there are none in my area because they've all closed !!! Or I can opt for two months free of their online delivery service which I've tried before, hate and would never use again...how can they just take my money and run ?!...I'm going all the way to the CEO with one cause they MUST not get away with this !!!

I called to report a monthly charge to my blockbuster account that I did not authorize that was started at the store. The blockbuster online representative said was unable to help me on the phone for a monthly charge incurred which originated at the store level. Very NOT Helpful.
No wonder Blockbuster is having trouble.

just relocated from sc to ga and went to blockbuster kiosk to rent a 99c movie. after swiping card several times, kiosk inf said zip code did not match so no movies were dispersed. However, upon entering my old zip code where my bank account originates with my old address, I was able to rent ONE movie. Without realizing AND WITHOUT RECEIVING ANY OTHER DVD RENTALS FROM THE KIOSK, my bank account was charged 5 TIMES!!! This is outrageous and because of that debit I was unable to even get gas at a local fuel pump as my account had been depleted! Yes, I want my $8 lousy bucks back that YOU STOLE from me as I only rented ONE MOVIE! (and yes returned on time) If cust service does not comply I will picket the kiosk to not use it as IT IS A RIP-OFF!!!

I rented from the block buster box was late & was charged a late fee $26 went to turn them in & the box wouldnt take them told me they were mine due to lateness ok fine .. Well two weeks later im being charged $53 & ten minutes after that another $26

No wonder this company is having financial trouble. We signed up for a month of Blockbuster's movie pass program. We had to give them a credit card to sign up but we were assured that it would not be charged. We found that we did not rent enough movies and decided not to renew for the next month. Surprise! There was a charge on our credit card for 16.22 from Blockbuster, Inc. I called the "customer service" line and was informed that they cannot do anything about it. We have to contact our local store. What is the point of a customer service line that can't do anything? I am fed up with them and I am fed up with our local store who told us our credit card would not be charged. Another headache to straighten out. Thanks, Blockbuster, for restoring my faith in Netflix.

blockbuster is terrible. i gave them a chance and rented a movie from blockbuster express. i turned t in a week later and now i have a fee from them for 20 dollars. i dont understand this. the machine didnt say anything about charging me 2 dollars a day. i cant get ahold of them cause they are closed. that was all the money i had left. i am never using blockbuster ever again. and i will try to persuade any person i know from ever using them ever again.

blockbuster appears to start closing early 147 sw and coral way the now close 10 min early for the past 3 days. a manager should take a little more time to control their staff in this case this blockbuster

well went to blockbuster tonight to rent some more movies for my little one. i did get this package deal 15.00 than a 50% off this month than 15.00 next month and on well got movies today watched them brought back 2 out of the three the cashier tells me i owe 10.50 for a movie from the 24th of last month been there a few times once already today the day before and nobody told me about this matter till tonight. i know i didnot bring this movie back today late. i was trying to tell her this all these people are looking at me like i was wrong she got loud i didnot like this so i told her it was something on there part. i was pissed than she said today is the last day for kids 50 cent movies and also she said you know u got this movie before so what my little girl wanted it again everyone told me to with netflix no i stayed with blockbuster and now this i am so mad about this. store number 12510 on 9/4/2011 around 7:38 p.m. i will be calling the store manager first thing when thay open i always let things go not this time.

I received a $1.07 credit to my "account" for a clerk's mistake at an Oklahoma Blockbuster store. As it happens, this "account" is NOT
my bank account, and I live 100 miles away.
i.e., the only way to recover my money is to
rent at THAT store.

STORE # 95084

I have rented a game from this store i check the game had a couple of scratches but didnt think nothing of it because it play in my system, turn the game in 5 days later to the clerk he didnt say that there was something wrong with the game i get a call in the morning from blockbuster telling me that i havent turn in the game i call the store to see what was the issue they told me that they could not put the game into the system because it was scratch i told them that i saw the same thing but because it did play so i didnt thing it was a big issue i guess i was wrong, i ask the store if they have try to play the game they told me no. Blockbuster is a place that im pretty sure that they rent games and movies every day so scratches are going to happen my problem is if they havent try to test the game why are they trying to charge me.

I just got a postcard from blocbuster two days ago saying i owe $53.00 from late fees. I have not recieved any other notifications from them and it was from 5 months ago. I was two days since i was in the hospital and last i knew they had no late fees. The intrest has been adding up over time. I called the store and they said they can not do anything for me. I tired calling 6 different corp office numbers and all of them were disconnected. I finally called the number on this website and followed the instructions listed to talk to an actual person. I spoke with her and explained what happend and how i was very upset that i had not been notified earlier of the late fees as well as that i have not been notified that their policy changed. The lady contacted the store manager and was able to take off half of what i owe. I never have been late on a movie before and was in the hospital. Im closing my account and will just rent from red box from now on.

Blockbuster service is the worst they take forever to ship the damn items... I advice everyone not to join blockbuster, try any other thing because I bet they will be better that Sh**ty blockbuster!

Rcvd "Night @ the Roxbury" broken. Notified them via email logged into my acct ... returned broken dvd via mail. (Am on 3 at home plan). Two wks l8tr, hadn't rcvd replacement nor another 3rd disc fm my Que. Went online to lv feedback. Clicked "Feedback" hyperlink @ top of pg - NOTHING happened. Looked for tel # to contact ... none available. Finally found a way 2 lv Feedback email (thru BLOG). Left email. Several days l8tr - rcvd no response. Sent a 2nd email - no response 1 wk l8tr. Looked on website - no tel # anywhere for cust svc. Contacted local store to get cust svc #. Called and got an outsource in Manilla, Phillipine Isl. Nice guy - but limited in what he could do. He compensated me 1/2 off my nxt mo bill - and finally got them to ship me a 3rd dvd - also asked him to ck the "fFedback" button leading to nowhere on their website. Comical if it wasn't such a monumental waste of my valuable time!
