how crazy! Bought a phone for my daughter and she misplaced it around July. I knew it was around the house so no worries. We found it in December but AT&T had already disconnected it and assigned the phone number to someone else. The $30 - $40 we had put on the phone is gone and if we want to use this phone again we have to buy a $25 sim card and add more money to the line! This is crazy....I can understand maybe after a year but the rep told me that just after 30 days they will disconnect the phone.
