There are options in steam to store your game library in another folder and as long as you gave that folder backup you can play the game without having to re-download it, just need to reinstall and point it to the library. I have learn this myself because I had redo my window install before and lose all my steam games.
I recently Purchased two games from Steam, needless to say neither one works, they load, get to main menu then crash. After spending hours online looking for "fixes" i decided to contact customer support. Four phone calls, 3 emails, and 4 days later and still nothing. STAY AWAY!
My account was hacked and you people do NOTHING to help. I have taken pictures of this site. It clearly says Valve Steam customer support but when you call it says you do not give support for Steam. I WILL be contacting the United States Attorney General for consumer affairs.
Why in the hell does it not keep your games INSTALLED, ON MY HARD DRIVE, I had to reinstall my whole account and litle to my knowledge it deleted everything I've accumulated over the years. But the part I'm most pissed about it because I had to reinstall it due to your unreliable servers
you know the new verison of fs 15 came out and I got it because steam is awesome and updates the game without me doing it so I had or a couple of weeks then it borke so like when I try loading a game or joing a muliplyer game it load hen goes black screen then it says giant editor 1.0.6[some number like that] so icant play with my friends or streamers on twich so can you plz help me thank you

steam you need to refund my money and everyone elces money for games that didnt work, your program has an error that said i played the game 6 hours WHEN I DIDNT! i couldnt get it to run at all and i have a high end gaming computer so it SHOULD WORK so i tried to get a refund and you denied it saying i played longer than you stupid return policy, when i didnt get to play jack sh**, I WILL GET A JOINT LAWSUIT GOING ON YOU PEOPLE UNLESS YOU RESOLVE THIS ISSUE! your ROBBING PEOPLE! I want my 60$ back for the game i didnt get to play NOW!
I have followed your process over and over again to no satisfaction and now I am at the point of contacting the BBB. You take money from people and when your product fails you send some cruddy email that your not refunding the money. What part of THE GAME WOULD NEVER LOAD SO WE NEVER GOT TO PLAY.. do you not understand? And your customer service and refusal to provide a phone number to speak to a real person is obserd, and it makes me wonder about your corporation. All I want is what is rightfully owed to me. I will give this 24 hrs from now then I will contact the BBB.

I am currently on deployment. I have submitted two trouble tickets on the 18th of March, and it Steam support has not responded yet.
I need my security question reset. I have asked of my father to try several answers; the account is now locked.
I am overseas, stuck on a ship without wifi, forced to watch television shows because I can no longer play steam offline.
Again, it has been twenty days since my trouble tickets have been submitted for the account - , and the phone calls I and my father make to the phone number above have gone unanswered.
sigh.
Steam has flagged my account because I have a new computer and they sent the verification code to an email I no longer have, support was no help. I found the owners/CEO's email. Go to Valve website under company click on people-Gabe Newell is the guy you want. Maybe if all the disgruntled Steam customers bother him enough he'll spend money on real support that actually resolves issues and they're based in Washington State, complain to the Attorney General.
Support is a frikkin joke...
My sons account was accused of theft we cleared that out pretty quick
by adding photos of serial and boxes and stuff...
NOW, they claim his account has been jacked...

Hi to all. Dear Steam and Steam clients. I had a thought as I am more on the games. Why don't we make CSGO better.? :-) . Why don't steam bring in betting on our own games. Each player in my team puts $1.25 down in the lobby. And also the other team! Steam gets $0.25 from each player and the winning team each player gets $1 from the team that lost and when you go to higher ranks you can put more money on the table? Playing for Cash $ :D please Steam put a vote on counter strike and let's see how much players wants this.
