My wife fell and broke her shoulder on mothers day at and antique store in central Va. I called the owner the next day and they said they had state farm ins. so we filed a claim with state farm and after the second call I got from their claims agent ,I knew then that THE GOOD NEIGHBOR WAS NOT THERE!!! I have been a state farm customer since 1963 but I don't why.

My daughter was involved in an accident with a State Farm client. It was the SF Client's fault. They will not pay the damages that we have had to pay out of our pocket. They are rude, dropped the ball when an adjuster suddenly left, will not return phone calls and carried this down to the wire of the Statue of Limitations. Not to mention that I did all the work for them. I'm sure they are pocketing the rest of the money that is due to my daughter. If you are a State Farm customer, I would certainly consider another company. Chances are when you need them, they won't be there.

I was with State Farm from 2010-2013. In that time,I had renters/life and auto insurance. My truck was broken into,at my home, wich renters insurance should have covered. They refused the claim. My truck was totalled in an accident that was 100 percent the other drivers fault,i Had med pay on my policy,to pay my doctor, while the insurance companies tangled. I had to call the 800 number and fight with them because my agent said I didnt have it...I had a copy of my policy. They constantly over bill me and anytome I have a problem,I cant get my agent..Infact I havent spoken to or laid eyes on her since I started the policy 3 years ago. I final swithed insurance companies and when I called them to inform them the guy started arguing with me about canceling the policy. I finally hung up and called my bank to tell them not to allow anymore charges from State Farm.Worst company ever!!

In Re: Steve Georgeoff, Dennis Keisser, Bill White, Derrick Wesley @ state farm

I am proceeding with filing a claim with the Indiana Insurance Commission this week in regards to the house fire on Christmas eve. I was also told by the Indiana Insurance Commission office that normally a house fire claim of this type is settled within a month. We are at four months and not only do we not have a settlement for the structure but now per conversations with my PA, after meeting with Steve Georgeoff/Dennis Keisser they are now trying to back out of various verbal agreements that were already made.

My wife and I have gone out of our way to provide everything asked of us by State Farm. To be quite honest it feels like we have been kicked repeatedly when we are already at our absolute lowest. We have seen multiple failures on the part of State Farm to honor their own policies as well as Indiana Insurance procedures. As it was explained to me, examples of this include:

- Not having an adjuster at the site within 24 hours

- Receiving our ongoing cost of living reimbursements within a reasonable time frame

- Bringing in the clean out company without explanation of procedure or alternate company options

- Not being available to us the claim holders except during our work hours

- And the list goes onâ?¦

The fact that we were left for two weeks after the fire without any assistance or guidance from State Farm other than a voice mail for someone in another state that rarely if ever returned her calls shows that State Farmâ??s regards for their clients is non-existent! My adjuster showed up 5 DAYS after the fire for 2 hours and then left for vacation without anyone covering for him locally

Now we have adjuster Dennis Keisser coming in and saying that the insulation in the attic isnâ??t wet anymore. This after almost four months of moving air in an open attic, heat from the house exhausting through the attic, as well as dehydrators running in the upstairs. Then it is implied that the water couldnâ??t have been that bad down stairs?!? Let me show you some simple math using the information below.

There were four hoses being used on the house, 2 inside and 2 outside, from three different pumper trucks for 20 minutes per the fire department. 4 hoses X 250 GPM (avg. between 200-300 GPM range) X 20 minutes to subdue the fire = roughly around 20,000 gallons of water sprayed. This does not include the supplemental hose that was actually used from inside the attic on the entire inner peak of the roof and chimney area after the majority of the fire was put out. So we can easily say there were between 15-20,000 gallons of water dumped into our house on Christmas Eve. To make a statement such as â??There wasnâ??t that much waterâ?? or â??The insulation isnâ??t wetâ?? only shows a level of ignorance for the situation that defies belief. Or it shows the fact that State Farm will do anything to get out of taking care of their clients.

Between conversations I had with Bill White and later with my PA, I found Bill using â??he said, she saidâ?? tactics which Jerry definitively corrected when we spoke later. I was told by Bill that Jerry had agreed to relinquish several areas that Jerry stated he never did. This is a pathetic way to deal with someone who has been a state farm customer for 15 years.

This email is also being forwarded to the State Farm claims office as well as the corporate office. It shouldnâ??t surprise me that State Farm is rated as the 4th worst insurance company to have to deal with considering our experiences thus far.

I had went into my local AD office to pay for my car insurance a few months in advance. I asked the agent what the total was he overcharged me by almost 1,000 dollars. I called and asked for a refund of the over over payment, he said two to three weeks. Its been over that time and still no refund. I have been with them ten plus years. And this is the service I receive, I recommend go elsewhere like a crazy neighbor yeah state farm is there, like a good neighbor statement SUCKS!

State Farm took money out of my checking account in December 2012 for a car policy that I had cancelled. To this day they have not refunded my money. All I get is excuses.

I just got off of the phone with a SF secretary. I was trying to resolve a possible double insurance payment made by fault of State Farm. I told her that what she was telling me sounds like a bunch of finger pointing and I am tired of the problems I have recently experienced with State Farm and am considering a new insurance company.
Her response "OK".
I have been with some of the greatest State Farm reps since 1988. I have never experienced issues like this before. Her cold response to my frustration is confirmation enough for me. The wholesome service that I once had is obviously no longer available.
State Farm will welcome you, wrap their arm around you and shake your hand like a pal, then once something goes astray nobody knows nothing. Everything is done out of a different office, they know nothing about anything. I need an agent who will always be there, be informative, and a staff of supportive people. NOT STATE FARM.

I had my car broken into on a Friday night. I tried to et in touch with my agent Saturday morning only to find a busy signal on one number and a voicemail on the other. I guess State Farm is only a 8-5 Monday thru Friday company, however accidents do occur twenty-four seven. I am not pleased. Will look for another company on Monday.

I handle auto claims for an independent insurer and have had to call state farm on several occasions to confirm liabilty. State farm has the worst response time to phone calls out of all the insurers I call. I have been on hold for upwards of 15 minutes at times. This is rediculous and unacceptable and something should be done. Additionally, their claims teams instead of having individual adjusters to a claim does not work. I have called to discuss a claim and have had to reiterate several times because different adjusters take the call.

I work for a different insurance company and just received information for a claim for a state farm insured FOR A PROPERTY DAMAGE FROM A HURRICANE!.Not related to one of my customers or a car accident, she called it into the wrong company. I just attempted to call in the claim to state farm and give them the information and two different reps told me they had no fax, no email or anywhere i could send this information, then they had the nerve to tell me a completely different company who had nothing to do with the claim or the insured had to contact THEIR insured and inform her that THEY would not take the information unless SHE called it in DIRECTLY to them. that is absolutely insane and horribly poor of your company. I did make sure to contact YOUR insured and inform her of the HORRIBLE level of service. you guys are horrible I couldn't beleive none of you people would take this information, thank god she wasn't injured or you fools would've told me to take her to the doctor myself too!.

I was in an accident with a state farm policy holder. I expected to be treated nasty. What I received from every state farm associate that I spoke with was very friendly and helpful upstanding service. Everything is good to go and they were more friendly and helpful than my own ins. Co. Thankful statefarm!!! You were there for me!!!!

I was in an accident, it was not my fault it was someone covered by State Farm. The accident was three weeks ago, my car was totaled, and the only response that I get from State Farm is that they need to get confirmation from the at fault drivers parents that she had permission to drive the vehicle. The funny part of this is that there were witnesses that all saw her parents show up to the accident and when the police were done citing her for 'diver inattention', and getting all the info from the three cars involved, the girl drove the car away not one of the parents so obviously she had permission to drive the car. State Farm told me that if they cannot get confirmation from the parents that they will deny the claim.... So when you are reading all the testimonies that they are really quick to settle claims and get people back driving again please remember that I am still without a car because they will not take into consideration that there are witnesses that watched her parents allow her to drive away in the car rather then one of them drive the car and her ride with them. Seriously??? I was actually considering using State Farm for my own personal car insurance until all of this.

I'm trying to settle a claim for a Homeowner in which a large tree destroyed the roof and framing. It's been over a month, the first adjuster put in the wrong kind of roofing which is less expensive than what the homeowner had. (we installed the roofing just over 10 yrs ago which we still had records)He also refused the flashings and other damage. Now I'm on the third adjuster and don't know his name or phone no. Statefarm is not getting back to me over the damages incurred and the homeowner is furious.
I thought Allstate was the worse. They'd change adjusters ever 24 hours or so and it's like pulling teeth to get answers let alone the correct damages and monies to rebuild.
Now Statefarm is losing my faith. They used to work with contractors fairly and much faster.

Wow, where do I begin.... I have dealt with a slew of people at their 800 number and most of them have been RUDE! They don't call back when they say they will and they make decisions on liability without even making sure they have all the information. I had a guy rip the back half of my car off flying through a QuikTrip parking lot. After calling them several times to get an update (they were his insurance company not mine) they told me that I was 100% at fault. Then I asked if they had even talked to my witness and after looking at their notes said,"Oh I see we failed to talk to the witness." Then I asked if the other driver had submitted pictures and they said no, so I sent them all my pictures. Then I call them back again and they say that they talked to the witness and they needed to talk to their driver because the witness is telling them something different than what their driver told them. I got upset and told them that is what I had been saying all along. Then when I called the next day they said they couldn't get their driver to call them back. Then they said they had to give him 30 days to respond! So when I voice that I am upset about this the rep tells me to calm down! Then when I try to explain to him that if his car was bashed in and he was worried about it filling up with water every time it rained, and then told it would take up to 30 days to resolve it he would be upset too, he says, "No I wouldn't because I would handle it better." !!!!! You can imagine how pissed I was. Then today after they have looked at the pictures and talked to everyone they call back to tell me I am still 100% at fault!?! I was not moving and the guy had plenty of time to stop and he purposely hit me. My witness said the same thing. So someone please explain how this can still be my fault? I told them I am going to get a lawyer because this is a bunch of crap. I am sure they do this to people all the time hoping they will get tired of having to push for a resolution and chase down a response from them and just file with their own companies. Well I am not laying down and they will see me in court!

I have carried my vehicle coverage with State Farm for over 20 years and my home insurance for over 6 years. My agent for the past 12-15 years has been Jacy Guynes in Weatherford Tx. Her office has always taken care of my business and I highly recommend her, but I am no longer recommending your company and will be moving my coverage in the near future. I have been trying to resolve a claim issue for the past month, and after being given the "go ahead" to repair my problem, I have been told that it is not a claim issue. And now that I was observant and caught it before major damage occurred, I will be responsible for any future damage in that area. If only I had turned my head, it could have cost your company thousands, but now I am responsible. I don’t understand how your representatives can give specific instructions and then go back on their word. I guess we live in a world where your word means nothing today. I’m sorry for all the folks that may hear my story and decide to take their business elsewhere.

I had a policy with state farm and in late I left a message with my agent Selena Valdez a message telling her not to use the debit card, and that was in June. I told I would call her or she could call me. Well July 26,2012 she used the card Without permission. Costing meover 500.00 in overdrafts fees. So I was very upset about it, and for the first two weeks they my bank statements claiming they were going to return my money with 69.97 in overdraft fees. Then a week later some lady name Anna tells me they don'tany message from me and Iwas lying and not getting my money back, I ask the lady then why come she didn't run the card in June. She replied it doesn't matter and I was not getting my money back. Mad as I am I am talking to lawyer and tweeted a couple tv reporters to help me. If someone used your permission, you call the police and tell the bank someone stole my card. Inwill get reimbursed by state farm because they broke the law and should pay.

I had a fire in my home in August with smoke damage. Heartland Fire is who handles the claim. Claim reps., Craif and Steve are fast talking and illogical. Then I had a mobile visit by Terri from Wisconsin. I told her about my treatment by State FArm and it turned out she was just as bad as the rest, low balled the claim anyway. State Farm denied part of my claim based on her visit to my home. The claims represnetative is not even able to verbalize why there is a denial. He does not even know where in my home the damage is. On the other hand, my insurance agent who takes the money has been nice to me. Claim reps however, have been unethical. I have been a REgistered Nurse and helped people through my life. Who would want to work as a claims rep. for an insurance company and want to act like this. Seems like they must be brainwashed.

State farm has the worst customer service that I have ever delt with out of any insurance I have ever worked with.. I was involved in an auto accident in which I was not at fault. When I called to let them know, soley to make sure if I had a problem with getting my truck fixed from the other insurance co. I was basically told in so many words that they would not help me unless I paid my 1000 dollar deductable. I was mortified, any other company has always at least explained how the proccess worked and what the best way to handle the situation was. And if I had any problems with the other company to call them and they would stand behind me and make sure stuff got done. However I got no such service. So apparrently I just send them 200 dollars a month to pay for someone else if I hit them and thats it. which I could just save up money and do the same thing on my own.. I would advise anyone looking for an insurance company in the futur to keep this horrable customer experiance in mint before choosing state farm as there insurance provider

I had a lightning strike at my home and it destroyed several major appliances. It's been three weeks and I'm still without Airconditions, computer which I'm in school and rely on it tremendously. The information send to me in the mail indicated to complete for form and return in prepaid postage. That's the last I've heard of my claim, it's going on 3 weeks since the incident and over a week since I mailed the claim. I spoke with my "claim representative" and her reply was thing can get lost in the mail! And that State Farm has no way of checking to see if the claim was ever recieved in the Atlanta Office which is only 75 miles from my residence. I am totally disappointed in State Farm. The customer service, holding of my claim and the general attitude of the claim representatives. Maybe I'm just one in the million of customers and that doesn't mean awhole alot, but I have been a customer for years.

I have had State Farm insurance for 32 years. I have a home and 2 cars. Last year a person was going door to door asking to inspect roofs for hail damage from a large storm that had recently passed through. I allowed them to take a look and they came back and said I did have damamge and I should call the insurance company. I did call explained the situation and told them I didnt know what to do with this information. They said they would send someone out to take a look. They did. She told me that my roof wasnt bad enough to need to be fixed, but if I wanted it fixed I would have to pay for it and they would pay me back, less the deductible. I said no thank you and thought that was that. Within a month my homeowners policy was cancelled for excessive claims. I have only one other claim in 14 years!

Its 2 years later and I am still peeved about them claiming a "claim" on my insurance. They didnt pay a dime to help me in anyway, but my rates went up and now I cant get insurance anywhere else because of a history of excessive claims. I called to talk to them several times and I get the same response. If you call, its a claim. It still doesnt make sense to me. I didnt cost anyone any money, but I am considered a risk now because I used the phone!!!

After 20 years of service from State Farm (multiple policies), I received a notice that they were terminating my auto policy because of two claims. I hit a bear four years ago, and my car was involved in a hit & run last summer. No other claims! I guess I am a liability?

I am a State Farm customer in Rochester, NY. They are consistently RUDE and incompetent, nothing but a huge run around with false quotes and promises. If you're thinking about State Farm don't do it! They need to realize that without customers, they wouldn't have a job...maybe then they would have just the simplest common courtesy toward people. They need to actually realize that good customer service and word of mouth (as, for me, this won't be the only forum in which I address this issue), has a HUGE impact on business! They are not 'entitled' to their customers, their customers are a privilege, and should be treated that way!
