We have purchased a new kitchen (cabinets) on October 10th, 2013 for a final



total of $6,115.85. (Purchase with ATM card 1005 13 IKEA)







A few days ago we were at the store to return and purchase some items.



When we left the store and got back home, we realized that we left our kitchen folder



which Ikea gave us containing the kitchen papers, design, receipts, guarantee etcâ?¦ at the store.







We did call the store that evening and were told to call again the next day to see if it was found. We called next morning and also went to the store in the afternoon. We traced our steps and asked various Ikea personnel.







The return area personnel sent us to the kitchen area to give us a copy of the printouts.



They did give us a print out of the kitchen layout and cabinets bought. They could not give us a copy of the receipt and guarantee. They sent us back to the return area.







The return area personnel said that the kitchen area personnel should have given us all copies. We spent a few hours running around from one place to the other.







Finally they told us to call 1- (888)- 888-4532. We did call in the morning and the receptionist â?? Marshal - told us that they will call back in about two hours, and gave us





without having to wait 40 â??50 minutes before a person picks up.







They never called back. We called the new number again with the same run around.







We are very, very, very disappointed with the whole process. It seems you have no competent personnel.







Other major companies do give a copy of receipts, guarantee etc.They did give us copies of receipt when the original faded and cannot be read years later â?? no questions asked. They have it in their store computer.







Its all smiles at the purchase but now something happened and the customer donâ??t exist.

Bought kitchen cabinets 9 years ago in Elizabeth, NJ. It is warranted for 10 years. The laminate is coming away from the wood so I went to the Brooklyn store, where, after many phone calls and in store meetings with the kitchen manager, he told me I had to go to the store where I bought the cabinets. That seemed strange to me until I found out that some IKEA stores are franchised. Trying to get in touch with the Elizabeth store is impossible. I live in Brooklyn and do not have a car. I must go on a weekend when they have a shuttle bus from Port Authority, but I can't find out if there will be a manager at the store to help me. Called the corporate office four times. The message says they'll call in 24 hours - it's been a month with no call. Extremely bad customer service.

I tried everything calling the store calling the 1-1888-888-4532 number even calling the corporate head quarters in PA. My average wait time on each call was between 12 -2 minutes until I gave up. I even went to the store a 30 minute drive each way because the one time I got a person they told me the store had 4 items in stock. When we got there they didn't have the item and would not have it for a week.

They would not let me pay tor the item then and pick it up when it comes in. Great item. Customer service must be is Swedish because it is foreign to them. Calling 000 doe not work either.

Its the worst customer service ever! We bought a chester drawer and it came out defective when we opened the box. That happened a month ago and still trying to solve the problem. The customer service is not even reading the e-mails i wrote and and asking exact same questions... Thats really unbelievable.. Never buy fro IKEA again... Pay a little more and have more decent product and definitely better customer service...

I had purchased a sofa yesterday from Ikea, Elizabeth, NJ, and delivery was scheduled for next day from 9 to 1. At 1 I called the delivery co. and was told, that the delivery will be from 2 to 6. No apologies, no nothing. Why the change? No coherent answer.

This ia a 2nd time i was screwed by Ikea.

First one was when I had to replace a damaged door to my $ 4000 kitchen. The store manager told me that she will not serve me after I had refused 3 other damaged doors while returning my door. Ikea kitchens have 25 years warranty. What a joke.

Please be aware of non-existent customer service. I'M DONE WITH IKEA.

I JUST WANT TO ORDER CURTAINS!! How can I possibly be on hold for 30 minutes for curtains!? And then when I get a represenative she's rude and acts like I'm an idiot for asking when the curatins I called to make sure were in stock yesterday are now out of stock. Seriously Ikea y'all maybe cheap, but there's not a dang thing else redeeming about you.

Extremely terrible customer service. We ordered some shelves weeks ago because they were too big to fit in our car, so we were told in the store to just order online. The shelves were supposed to have arrived by now according to the delivery estimate we got in an email weeks ago. We are on hold with IKEA now for a second time. It has been over an hour. First we called on our cell phone and we were on hold for 30 minutes and decided to call back through our computer so we would not waste cell phone minutes. Same recording, over and over, telling us that our call is important to them. Yeah right! It's become an insult at this point.

It is ridiculous that the shelves still are not here after weeks of waiting. There are many, many boxes of these exact same shelves sitting in an IKEA literally within 10 miles of our apartment. How long could is possibly take them to ship these? We spent almost $400. You would think they would care more?

I honestly regret purchasing the shelves from IKEA and at this point, I'd rather cancel my order but I have a feeling I would never be able to get in touch with a customer service representative in order to do that.

IKEA really does suck.

We had finally decided upon IKEA for our new complete kitchen remodel, including appliances. I was in heaven when my double oven was installed UNTIL I found that one of the brand new ovens didn't work. Instead of getting a replacement for the brand new, unused oven we got a contracted vendor to come and repair it. The repair man stated to my husband " Oh, it's IKEA, what'd you expect?" (this is IKEA's vendor) Not having any trust here....He had to order a part. THIS WAS OVER 3 weeks ago. IKEA doesn't pick up their customer service line.

I've been on hold with their customer service line for 2 hours and 20 minutes and have been listening to the same recording over and over.

I ordered 3 very small items online. Two came in one box but the third never arrived. Now I might never see it again and I'm angry that I paid for shipping when I could have just spent the 2 hours I've wasted on the phone driving to and back from my local store.

Worst customer service ever. I had to threaten legal action just to get them to pick up the boxes that they delivered, because they sent two of the same box rather than box 1 of 2 and 2 of 2. Then made it seem like it was my fault! This goes beyond terrible customer service, it's torture. Still no refund. It is impossible to get ahold of them. NEVER USE IKEA. I ended up buying a much nicer dresser, same price, came fully assembled, with amazing service from Bob's Discount Furniture. If they are in your area and you are looking for nice but cheap furniture, go with them.

Terrible terrible customer service. I can't believe they don't address this issue. I would gladly pay an extra $10 per product to have better service! Went to a store, purchased several THOUSAND dollars of furniture, paid to have it delivered, and they sent the wrong sized bed. After being on hold for 30-50 minutes each call, first being told it must have been my mistake, I finally reached someone higher up and said I was writing to the corporate headquarters about the horrible customer service. She then "opened a case," gave me a case number and said someone should be in touch in 2-3 days. HA!!! Still waiting a week later. Called back today only to be told it was "being reviewed" at the store. So I'm supposed to hang out in limbo waiting for some anonymous person (they will not give a contact number for this "review department"). It is ridiculous they way they treat their customers. I will not order from them in the future. I'll stick to Pottery Barn - yes you pay more, but at least you can expect good service.

Ikea has terrible customer service. After three weeks a bed, very expensive to ship, still had not arrived. One real person told me that it was due to arrive the day I called, but that no delivery company had any record fro delivery. She then dialed a "customer service" number to solve the problem. That never was answered. I will never order from Ikea again.

Mattress and box spring was supposed to arrive in morning. It didn't arrive. Tried to contact store. Can't get there from here -- just voice mail Back East (I live in California). Shipping company finally called, said they'd received my paperwork but no goods and that the store would call me to fix the situation. No call. Called and left voice mail. No callback. Finally went to store, 30 mile round trip, and asked in person where my goods were. They didn't know. But they were happy to refund my money, so that makes them better than the worst.

Purchased the "MALM" bed in full size and have had nothing but a hassle with it. First they delivered only part of the bed (it was NOT on back order). After 30 minutes on hold I was able to reach a live person who said they had shipped the whole order to the shipping company warehouse and that they don't know why we didn't receive all the pieces. We spent 2 weeks on that before Ikea finally resent the missing items to the shipping company, which then delivered them. After actually getting all the parts, you can't put the bed together!!!! There is a step that is literally impossible. I found a video online that elaborated on the horrible picture book instructions sent with the bed, but even that did not help. The screws provided for that step do not go in the holes they drilled. All week now we have tried to reach a live person to discuss this issue with, and every time we are directed to voice mail which says there is a high volume of calls and to leave a message which will be returned in the order they were received and within 1 business day. I also emailed the address listed in the voice mail. No replies. I finally reached a person today who acknowledge frequent issues being reported about this bed and this part of the assembly... she suggested a tactic we had already tried. I insisted they resend us the parts so we can try it again. I asked to speak to a manager, and you know what I was told? No one was available, and I could not wait on hold until one became available. My only option was to leave my phone number (AGAIN) and get a call back (which never comes). What a joke! This is the first and last time we ever make a purchase from Ikea. When I told the lady that, she said "OK". Obviously they don't care.

It is absolutely impossible to reach Ikea on the phone. I ordered a new kitchen, and the salesperson never mentioned that it would end up being two-toned, because the cabinets themselves only come in birch or white. So they delivered all the items, but now I need to return the medium brown doors for birch doors. I've been trying for 2 days to reach Ikea over the phone and it's absolutely impossible.

I returned 6 items in June, using their truck delivery company 3PD. It is now August and I have only received credit for 2 items, and this credit did not include the taxes.

I contacted customer service 5xs and could not be helped. The wait times have been from 10-18 minutes each time.

I have faxed my documentation to them 3xs and no one contacted me.

The last time I called and waited for 10 minutes on hold, I was told that your systems were down and Terrel or Tyrel would contact me later in the day to help. NO CALL BACK.

IKEA online is truly a broken system. I can't believe that they have such a poor on-line presence when their stores are so efficient. I am shocked and disappointed, I have loved IKEA since it began in the USA. I was able to use their stores in Chicago but now I live in Florida so was forced to use their on-line service. Never again!

I am going to contact corporate with a letter from my attorney. Ridiculous.

i agree with all the negative comments. A shelving unit i bought lacked the slot on the legs on which the drawers,were held. on parts on two of the legs. the man i talked to after an hour on hold wanted to know which one of the four drawers was affected. i said what does that matter, he replied he was just trying to help. finally i just hung up, an hour and no help on n item that cost 19.00 and the replacement parts i needed probably co=t about 5 bucks. never again

DONT ORDER from IKEA online. I placed an order on July 11 for over $1100. Now August 2nd, no furniture or refund despite sitting at home 3 separate days waiting for the scheduled delivery. The IKEA rep. laughed at my husband when he was upset after staying at home most of the day waiting for our scheduled delivery only to be told at 4:55pm that the scanner on the delivery truck broke and they could not deliver our order that day. Still no refund, have called IKEA 5 times put on hold and then told they would process our refund less the delivery charge. That was 7 days ago and still no refund. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

Tried customer service over the phone which was not very helpful (it was closed although it was 830am) so I decided to go to the store and the service was GREAT!! They happily the parts I needed ( which I broke upon building by the way). My advice is to go to the store customer service directly if you can!! :)

This is the worst company EVER..have spent the last 3 weeks trying to get answers on a product they didn't include in my delivery when I paid the store for full picking of all and full delivery and they keep telling ,e they will call me back...worst company EVER and ready to return everything..disgusting

Without a doubt the worst customer service ever! I have been on the phone for over 45 minutes and there is no answer. I have hung up and called back at least 5 times. what an awful customer experience.
