After not receiving a bill for months but paying what we estimated as due and not getting a requested bill we closed our two Embarq accounts. They immediately sent it to their in-house collection company. When the bill was received we paid it that day--after two weeks of 8 calls a day from Triangle. Finally they stopped--until today. I called Embarq and they said it was NEVER sent to collection. I simply am at my wits end.

On Jan 8th 2009 I made several attempts to speak with a representative of Embarq. The recording placed me on hold. After several minutes the phone rang and I could a pick-up and someone working in the background but no one picked up and spoke to me. I hung up and repeatedly tried reaching someone. This went on for approximately 1/2 hr.

Finally I just gave up.
