I did not order a thing from them and never have and they took &35.95 out of my checking account!! When I called them they say they can't refund me because I'm not in their system, really I didn't order any thing!!! Yet they insist i give them my sales order number, I don't have one didn't order or receive and anti=virus from them. They cant find my name, e-mail address or my husbands info now they want my checking account number!!! I asked the lady if she was crazy, my bank sent them my bank statement with just that transaction on it and they says they need it to find me in the system and until they get it they can't refund me which I don't think they have any intention in refunding me!!! Plus she would not give me a headquarters phone number, I'm not done yet!!!!!!!!!!

ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE TO CONTACT ANYONE , GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER DR. I have given my e mail with this review but i doubt that anyone will contact me now, what a shambles it must be AMERICAN.

Another case of "If it looks too good to be true if must not be"
I ordered a special promotion from Digital river for PDF+Scan suite 2013 for $139.95 which also offered a coupon to enable me to purchase Microsoft Office professional 2013 for $9.95. However when trying to order the Office professional I am told by Microsoft support that I have to be employed by a company and use that company's email address to take advantage of the offer. I am retired so can't do that. Nobody and Nuance or Digital River seems to be aware of this provision and it's not mentioned in their email ad. To me this is fraudulent. I am attempting to cancel the entire order. I hope that goes through. I don't want to have to take any legal action if I can avoid it.

Idiots, Number works spoke to someone last night. Anyway I bought a Roxio game capture HD pro £90 it cost me. On the 09th February got shipped on the 10th however I heard nothing from it. Theres no tracking number which I think is absolutely ridiculous as £90 is a lot of money. I tried to contact roxio and they say basically go away ask digital river which is stupid if I pay them they should sort it. I contacted digital river yesterday the womans response: It was shipped on the 10th if its not at yours on march the 10th we will check the warehouse...So basically I said why is there no tracking, you sent us an email saying it would be 4-7 days I understand its abroad but you shouldn't say that date if its not going to be here over two weeks later. When I paid it said it would be shipped via First class international mail from USPS however when I check it looks like it just says international mail. I told the woman basically I think its a joke I have received items from china faster than this. I could have bought exact same item same price from amazon and had in 3 days. on the roxio website I was on the UK website put country United Kingdom top right then said Deliver to the UK So I didnt think it would still be sent from America if I put my current country to United Kingdom. Personally i'm really disappointed and I don't know what I can do.

DR handles global transactions for many different firms and has seamlessly dealt well with several purchases that I've made in the past. This is the first time a glitch has occurred and it is more likely the fault of the USPS than DR, given the recent track record of the USPS. I placed an order for a Pinnacle Studio 16 back up disk that never arrived. I called DR at the number above, pressed "2" when given the menu option and was speaking with a Customer Rep in less than 3 minutes. He was polite, his English was clear and understandable and he told me they'd sent me the B/U disc; that it was apparently lost in the mail; that they would send another that should arrive in 7 to 14 days. I will come back here and post the date it arrives. I have found that use of DR as an intermediary can be very confusing and frustrating and wish that companies such as Pinnacle or Corel that use DR financial services would take responsibility for implementing all the rest of their services instead of laying it off on DR. I like to know who I'm dealing with and exactly who to contact when a problem arises and, more importantly, exactly who is responsible for resolution of the problem. Corel/Pinnacle has not made the lines clear and this poor communication tarnishes Corel/Pinnacle and DR. They all need to get together and fix this...soon.

WARNING! In my recent experience - Do NOT Buy from Digital River! Absolutely appalled at the disgusting way these people do business. The online Nuance/Digital River sales person billed my CC after I told him/her to cancel the sale PRIOR to paying, but just after inputting my CC #. The salesperson immediately billed my card and ended the online process saying it was a customer service issue now. I contacted Customer Service within 5 minutes (not an easy feat since they evidently make it difficult to find the #) who told me, emphatically, that I would not be billed and even gave me a "special number" to use to show it had been handled. Of course, the Nuance product arrived today at OVER 2X (DOUBLE) the price that I eventually paid on Amazon.I now have to go stand in line at the Post Office to return the Nuance product to Digital River and only hope that Digital River will refund my money. Somehow, I have my doubts. IMO - STAY AWAY from Digital River!

I'm thinking I've been scammed after reading e-mails. Ordered Pinnacle software and have wondered where my package was after 2 weeks. Impossible to get a hold of them, they have my credit card number and charged it. Website has comical loops that take you nowhere. Stay away!

Digital river blows their a bunch of damn scam artists don't buy anything thru them cause they will just rip you off, I purschased rollercoaster tycoon 2 with my credit card spent all night downloading file then go to install it and it says files in game are corrupted, so i uninstall and redownload still does not work, you think a decent company would give you a refund but not these bastards...

I used to license a lot of code from vendors who used Digital River for payment processing and marketing.

The past couple of days I had been trying to license a piece of code for $14.02. The transaction kept failing whether or not I tried a credit card (!!) or PayPal.

I spoke to their customer service representative this morning who informed me that only if I reversed charges which I had disputed in 2009 for $60 (code which did not work as described) would I be permitted to make the current license purchase.

I informed the company's agent that I would not accede to waiving my rights as a consumer.

Digital River's extortionist tactics appear to have been copied from an Al Qaeda terrorist manuals. I will NEVER do business with ANY company affiliated with them.

Tangentially, prior to 2005, I used a credit card kept on file at Digital River for small software purchases from boutique, niche coders in different parts of the world. It wasn't until I rescinded my statements with purchases for taxes one year that I saw I had over a thousand dollars in "mini-charges" from companies I never heard of or had done business with.

Maybe it was a coincidence. But Digital River was the only on-line company that had my credit card information during those years.

Since that time I cancel my debit/credit cards once a year and replace them with new ones to help avoid Digital Theft.

I do know that I have not had a problem paying vendors directly using PayPal and Authorize.net, ever.

What an ignorant and appalling company would certainly not reccommend to my own worst enemy.
Have been trying since Beginning of June to get a refund for returned discs £29.97, contacting by letter twice, can't get any response what so ever, despite them owing me above amount which as a pensioner is a lot of money to lose. I will not trade with them again or recommend, I will now contact Microsoft Support to see if they can help.

I spent two hours downloading or so I thought, but then my comp tech and I could not find the download.???. I could not get through to anyone by fone, just a round robin of fone numbers..so I called one above and followed directions. Voila! got a human and I just cancelled my subscription to Trend Micro antivirus renewal. texaslorraine.

Website not true about contacting a live person

The website message says you can speak to a live person by pressing "0" when the recording starts after dialing the phone number listed.

This is not true. I just tried it (about 30 times) and the operator keeps saying that there is no operator available, to leave a message.

I am thinking it is time leave Trend Micro for internet security.

I received my credit card statement and was billed SIX TIMES for one year subscription. That was 62.95 for SIX TIMES on 3/1/13. Yes indeed this is a SCAM--filing complaint with WV State Attorney General Office for inquiry & any necessary action that needs to be taken.

2charges on my cc for product not ordered. Been disputing since oct2011. Called cust service today and was told they are no longer affiliated with Microsoft. Need to contact Microsoft direct. Now I understand all of the complaints on the net!

Thank you for this number! One often has a question, particularly on billing, which can be solved only by talking to a live person and being able to do that cuts down on the level of frustration involved in these transactions.

My experience with the customer service rep was quite satisfactory except for some difficulty in hearing the representative.

We bought Trend Micro from Best Buy's vender, Blue River. We could not get service at renewal time last year so we moved on. We got a trial from another company and chose to switch to that sales companies. Nine months later Digial River announces they want to renew. This time they said they had authorization by an auto-"renewal agreement" we did not know was there. We blocked the sale using our bank. They went around the blockade set up by the bank. We will be canceling the card we used in order to get our money back. That's 10 business days without a card used for business transactions. In the ratings, just know: we could not get hold of them--end of story.

I agree with the comments made concerning cancellation. Wasted a half hour in cancellation process - only this site provided a phone number. I wonder what happens to people who are not attorneys like me or people who change email addresses and will die having unknowingly been billed 50 years. If anyone wants assistance in filing a complaint with the attorney general of the state where they live, my email is [email protected]

Purchased a computer from Best Buy and used my Visa for the antivirus. Apparently, they used Digital River and now I can't get them to stop charging my Credit Card every year and can't get a refund. No way to contact them, no one answers the phone, web site 'contact us' just goes in circles and says no such order number, no such email, etc. WORST COMPANY EVER!! Will be cancelling my credit card just to stop the charges. NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THESE SCAMMERS!!

Crooks. Still trying to get a refund from 4 years ago on piece of software.

Now they cancelled my software download on another piece of software after my internet connection was disrupted. Now they there are only 5 downloads allowed and that i'm cut off from downloading this software. I only attempted to download it 3 times.

They have my money again and again are not providing the software.

each time i tried to renew - said something was wrong or problem and check back later. one renewal rate was 49.90 and other 67.90. each time i tried to renew it said to check back later. i called my cc company and found out i was charged 4 times in one hr. 2 times for 49.90 and 2 times for 67.90. what a SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!! do not do the automatic renewal!!! i cancelled my card as i do not want a company such as digital river to have any access to my cc's. how can micro trend use this system with such a bunch of unprofessional idiots. ?? you can't even get ahold of anyone at micro trend - my cc company got someone on from micro trend - 952 646 5980 - i mean really - 4 times in one hr being billed for ONE YEAR?

They are totally fraudulent!!! I pay for download via paypal. Payment is immediate, they deny the download saying it needs to be paid. Doesn't matter how often I send a transaction number to them, they tell me if I want a refund, don't pay. I am filing a complaint with paypal. That was just the first time. Then Avast comes up for renewal, direct debit card payment goes through my bank, avast has now DENIED the renewal saying it has NOT BEEN PAID! In the meantime, DIGITAL RIVER HAS MY MONEY!!! BOGUS! BOGUS!
Anyone else want to sue?????
