THIS IS NOT A GOOD WEBSITE TO PURCHASE SENSITIVE ELECTRONIC COMPONENTS.

Worthless in terms of being able to support the customer. Received an item with damanged packaging the best they could offer is a refund while they have nearly identical replacement available. Stayed on the phone for over an hour getting tossed between customer service and sales without any resolution.

your customer service sucks, I was on hold for 25 minutes. Judy and Sucre the supervisor was the best reps that you have in the company. I'm in customer service for a company were we deal with a high volume of calls daily. No excuses, I will use the 10% of discount and I will never use this site aaaaaaaaagggggggggaaaaaaaiiiiinn, ya how about we get you a size 10 when I ordered a size 9, Really. How about you order a size bigger than what you wear.

I had to find an order that processed through buy.com but was from another website. Not only did they help find the order, but also supplied me with the actual website that would be shipping and processing the order as well as giving me the order number so that I could track the package with the supplier website. The woman I spoke to was not a native English speaker but spoke very well and was pleasant. I give buy.com two thumbs up!

TERRIBLE!!!!!! I ordered a Flip HD Camera, and what I got was a hd photo album. After holding for about 5 mins, got a non enghlish speaking person and evrything they told me was wrong. The original company would contact me within 24hrs(not), if they did not contact me call buy.com (another 5min holding time and no english speaking person) and they would suspend their privilages(they did not), Been a week still no resolve to problem. have called company no less than 8 times and still have gotten no where and no flip camera and no credit FRUSTRATING I Will NEVER USE THIS COMPANT AGAIN

The worst custmer service I have ever experienced!!! I will never order anything from this company again. They had no interst in helping me solve why my order was cancelled. I listed both a PO and physical address and they told me to reorder and take the PO off of the address. No interest in helping what so ever!

Do not order from this company. If you do, pray nothing goes wrong with the ordering process because you will have not receive any help from them.

I have been purchasing from buy.com for some 7 years and have yet to have a problem. Perhaps soon, I don't know; but not yet. So, all we're seeing here are the folks with bad experiences and I figured I might as well put in a good one. I probably buy from them some 10 times a year; everything from a Harry Potter DVD to refurbished notebooks and new netbooks. So, I very much appreciate their being here.

The WORST customer service ever!!! There is an Acer Aspire One advertised for $199 and says it has a 6 cell battery. when you click buy, the description changes to a 3 cell battery...bait and switch...fraudulent! Called customer service 3 times, put on hold endlessly...still waiting on a call back!

Louzy customer service. I bought a printer from them and it is not working within two months. The printer has an overheat error. They just want me to contact the manufacturer. They stated unless I bought an extended warranty, I would have to contact the manufacturer myself.

I just called to follow up on a return, and I was able to reach a person in the customer service department. I can't remember all the options I selected, except I know the last number I pressed on the phone was "7".

I went through the IVR menu, and chose options related to checking status on returns, and it worked out fine.

I just attempted to report that I received a damaged item. Some hour or two later I still had not gotten a rep. that speaks plain old English and that is ALL I understand. I still have NO idea as to what I was instructed to do.
It is a small inexpensive item that arrived damaged and I just wanted to report that to the seller.
Why do you not simply have an email where all this could have been reported and hopefully resolved? This is the "internet age"..isn't it?
BTW the order number was 56714769.

All of these horrid reviews are absolutely true. The customer service is terrible. Expect many transfers between departments. Also, expect them to straight up lie to you to settle you down.

They apparently made a mistake in their listing of a laptop, and sent me an email 5 days after it was supposed to be shipped, that the transaction had to be canceled due to a mistake on their part. After spending over a half hour on the phone, and six transfers, I finally got to speak with a supervisor who informed me that they would ship the item the next day. I called back the next day to confirm because I had a bad feeling...and I was right. They told me again that the item was canceled, and there was no way for it to be fulfilled.

I'm going over to newegg.com.

DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH BUY.COM!!!!!

i almost spent a lot of money on a computer with you until i started reading reviews about bad service slow shipping hidden phone numbers and then i was reading your policy for returns and it basicly says if you make one mistake your screwed your rma will be void why would anyone buy anything from you your own return policy should scare anyone

I wish I had seen this about BUY.com before my purchase. I tried to cancel an order within an hour of purchase.. and they told me it was too late, I had to wait to receive the item. It was too late! Under an hour??? Come on! Will never do business with these scam artists again. No live customer service number listed on their site. How awful!! they sent it anyway to somebody else in my name! Now I have to wait 8-10 business days for refund!

Strictly Mumbai-based support, and they cannot do anything for you.

Beware: If you get overnight shipping, a signature is required and UPS *cannot* allow you to pick up the shipment at the depot due to Buy.com's policies. You MUST be available for signature when the truck is there, period. There is no getting the tag and picking it up later. UPS can't do anything about it. I was not even told my order required a signature and now my overnight shipping fee was completely wasted due to a three-day weekend. I've ordered a lot of stuff online and have never run into UPS being *not allowed* to give me my package at will-call.

yeah buy.com is a half @$$ operation. I tried to order something TWICE and both times the order was cancelled without trying to contact me. Why ask for your email if they are not going to bother to use it. Trust me don't bother with this site it is not worth it.

This is the worst merchant I agree with everyone here.I ordered the pink 24in tv for my daughter a week later it was still saying processing I called and they said they handed the order over. I called the other company and said the item was discontinued a month ago why buy.com has it on here still they should have taken it off.

Don't waste your time or money with Buy.com. They sent me a broken refrigerator, and are now claiming that it's unreturnable because the original UPS barcode sticker is not on the box....what?? They know they are sending sub-par products, and so prevent returns with arbitrary requirements. I had to search online for their customer service number, who tells me that someone will call me back within 48 hours about my return...what kind of company is this???

Tried to cancel an order less than 2 hours after placing it. Though they clearly state it won't leave their warehouse for another 3 days, they wouldn't / couldn't cancel it.

Ordered a Hamilton Beach item from buy.com via Amazon. Received only the "lid" in the box. When I tried contacting Buy.com on the website it was only via email, but luckily found this site with the phone number. I got through to a live person almost immediately, but was passed around to 3 different people and kept being put on hold. After 20 minutes, I was told they would "open an investigation" to find out what happened to the package. I just wanted to return it and get the whole item I ordered! The box it was shipped it was completely sealed. It was obviously sent to me incomplete. Now I have to wait 48 hours to find out what the sleuths at buy.com figure out. Never again.

Horrible!!!!!!!!! This webiste doesn't even give you a contact number, you have to google search their information. Secondly they never state that you have to wait 3days in addition to the shipping time frame- which is not a good thing. If people are doing what i did, I shipped my package to my employer now I don't know what to do. I found this website by accident and honestly wish I never ran into it. I would've been much better off ordering it from Bestbuy and knowing that I would get my product on time.

Like the 2 comments below, we also received confirmation orders today that were not placed by our firm. A very helpful Buy.com rep. confirmed that we did not place the orders, said they have received other calls and asked that I help by forwarding the emails to [email protected] and [email protected].

Add me to the list of those who got an e-mail at my work e-mail address this morning "thanking" me for ordering >$1,300 in notebook computer and equipment!

I also e-mailed Buy.com immediately, but haven't heard from them.
