I just picked up a rental for a luxury SUV that I reserved approximately 30 days ago. We are taking a family trip. I specifically went to the location in Tustin California last week to ensure the car would be there and the car would be cleaned and in excellent condition to my chagrin, I picked up the car. It was filthy. It had numerous scratches items broken inside the car. I am totally disappointment in Hertz. Tthe gentleman that was helping me at the counter was most helpful. However, you can't say the same about the manager. Since I had no other options to take this car because of my tight schedule, I asked if the car could be detailed cleaned and pictures taken of the numerous infirmities. He took 61 pictures and is sending them to corporate. The manager said they didn't have the staff to clean the car. This rental is will cost me approximately $3500.00 for the rental period. I am requesting a significant discount as this car is not what I expected and I do not have time to go to another rental company. I am a Gold member and I'm highly considering going to another company for future rentals.
