Just left Party City in Portsmouth VA, 4107 Portsmouth Blvd. Stood in line to check out my merchandise but only had one of 6 doilies that I needed. Cashier told me to go to the service desk and I could have it ordered and sent to my home. The cashier at the service desk told me I had to wait in line. I asked, what line since there was no line at the service desk. She instructed me to wait in the line I had just left. She then walked away and started helping the guy who was blowing up balloons. The first cashier came over and ordered the doilies I needed. There has got to be a better system or I was just discriminated against. Today is 12/3/2016. A Looking forward to hearing from you. The Party City in Fort Walton refused to refund a purchase I made before Halloween. I was told I could not return before Halloween. I tried to return today with receipt and was told I could not get my money back. I was misinformed and should have read the receipt. I will never go back.

I work at one in the party city's in Georgia. I'm reading all these comments of other stores getting the same bad reviews. People are complaining about line waiting and lots of people. Which isn't our stores fault, it's the costumers for coming in. If you don't agree then don't ship there. Also people don't like waiting for balloons. You can show up to any party city on a Saturday morning, with 50 balloon orders before yours and expect to be out in 10 mins. It's not our fault!! We are told by corporate and the managers. Same rule applys anywhere you go, you can't just jump in line infront of other people also waiting. Overall people need to wake up, we're humans too.

Hoover store has terrible customer service. The employees are rude and have major attitude problems. There were several employees behind the registers and ALL of them blatantly ignored the six customers waiting in line to check out. Corporate needs to make a visit to this store and give better training to their employees or clean house.

I have been trying to talk to a representative I placed an order that comes with ballons I went to the stor and they wanted to charged to inflate them a dollar for each ballon that is a ripoff, if I go to the store and buy it there they do not charge I want to know where does it says that I am supposed to pay a dollar to inflate the cost me 7.98 and would have to pay 30 more. This event is for tomorrow sunday november 6, 2016

Party City has always been my go to place for party supplies until last night. My 70 year old mother called the store to verify that the had the super girl custome in stock which they said they did. She drove to party city in Virginia Beach on Independence Blvd to pick it up (the custome was for a party the following day). When she got it home she realized that the belt and shoe covers were missing. She called the store again to verify they had another with all the pieces. They informed her they did and that the new one had. It been opened yet. She then drove back to the store to exchange the item out. I was frustrated that when she mentioned getting a 10% discount she was told Party City did not do that. My mother had to waste gas and her time to exchange out an item that was sold to her with missing pieces. It is the responsibility of Party City that all pieces are in the package when items are resold after being returned. I can't believe that the philosophy of this well known company is buyer be ware. I would like to be able to trust you and if you are in the wrong somehow you will make it right, even if it is just 10% of the price of the item (which to be honest would not have even covered the gas for the trip back and forth). I look forward to hearing back from you.

I am so upset with Party City! I decided to use you as my halloween costume supplier and all I can say is that I am extremely disappointed. I went to your Pelham location to purchase costumes for me and my fiance and while it may have been close to Halloween the selection of in stock costumes was very limited. To make matters worse half of the costumes that the wall said were in stock were not. We settled for something after a hour or so of trying to get something we'd love. The next day we both decided it wasn't really what we had in mind. We went to another location in White Plains to exchange them and all I can say is nightmare. Less organized more frustrating and just a bigger waste of time. Long story short is that we now have costumesome that we didn't even wear and a reason to no longer shop your stores. The manager was nasty and no help. Just an overall bad experience. You need more training and a better system.

To whom this may concern.

I've been a very long time customer. I've never had anything bad to say about Party City, until my last trip to Party City (2396 sunrise highway, Islip ny. 11751). On Friday(10/28) monrning I went to PC to buy party supplies and a order of balloons. I spend over $100 as excepted (annually) I had ordered the balloons to be picked up for Sunday (oct 30th at 12pm). When I entered the store the volume at the counters were not bad. I asked cashier about my order of balloons. She told me to wait by ballon station. I walked to ballon station and no one was there to help. I waited there almost 20mins. I noticed my order. I said to the same cashier "excuse me, but I see my order can u please hand them to me". I told her, I already paid fo them. I had my receipt in my hand to show proof of sale. I was ignored. I was upset and hurt. I ended up asking another cashier but was also no luck. Then the security guard (older female) began to make me feel very uncomfortable ( standing in my front of me).

I just hope this issue gets handle accordingly. No one should have to go through what I went through. It's no right and I'm very displeased. Thank you for your time.

I'm informing you about something that happened to me at one of your stores in Concord, NC. I came in with a service animal and my dog was overwhelmed by the amount of people in there and began to bark. I had him on his stomach waiting for the police to come. It is unlawful to have a service dog and a disabled person to be asked to leave the store. My civil rights were violated and I was humiliated. I'm filing a report of this violation against the Americans with disabilities act with the office of civil rights. I would love to hear back from you on your stance on this matter.

Hello my name is Ana Alatorre. For the last couple weeks I have been seeing your ad in the commercials on television. I am a fan of Halloween and costumes. I feel though that your ad is wrong. Not everybody has the money to buy your costumes and have to rely on creativity. And your ad downgrade on those unfortunate to purchase your costumes. I get how companies will do anything to get their sales up but I believe your company should advertise in a different way.

To whom it may concern,

I was at party city waiting outside when two women started to fighthe. I was discussed at your security because he stood there watching and did not try to stop the 2 ladies. One of the lady was screaming for help and the security was not doing anything besides standing there and saying they needed to move the other way to fight. No one bothered to call the police while children was standing there watching these ladies fight. One lady was bleeding who continued to scream for help while security was standing watching the whole thing go down. This all happened in front of your store. What if the woman was killed or stabbed or shot. Is this how you guys operate. Just stand and watch pexpletive. I have never been so disgusted by the actions of your workers. By being bystanders watching instead of helping.

Ordered a costume for my daughter on 10/16/2016. Got charged on the credit card but not the confirmation or tracking number. Haven'5 receive the costume after two weeks and could not reach their customer service live person on the phone or the reply email. NEVER NEVER purchase from them on line anymore!!!!! Be aware!!!!!

My comment isn't regarding specifically customer rather Party City's policies About coupons, I spent almost 75 dollars but couldn't use a 15 or 20% off coupon because it had expire 2 days ago, seriously? If there was anywhere else to get what I needed I certainly would do it, but unfortunately you have a monopoly on this type of business! I guess that's why you don't care if your customers complain? What's 20% to a corporation?

DO NOT EVER ORDER ONLINE! They use a third party to collect your financial information. There was soo much discrepancy on my account I tried to get refund, but they don't want to give it to me. Instead PartyCity shipped the item out to an incorrect address and billed me anyway. You will get WAYY better customer service at another place. If you are in Canada Party4U, waaay better, and YOU CAN ALWAYS GET A LIVE PERSON to assist you with anything!.. DO NO ORDER FROM PARTY CITY THEY ARE FRAUD!

Spent 5 minutes trying to get a live person on the phone. I even tried the non-toll free number but there is NO LIVE PERSON. So frustrating. What number do I use to speak with someone? It is NOT . That is an unmanageable maze.

Just had a terrible experience in your Encinitas store. Your employee, Ashley, was extremely rude after I asked her to please help me locate party supplies that your store was out of. I asked her if she could please call the oceanside store, and she replied that I could do that myself. I asked her to please call as I might have to buy some more things in the store in Encinitas if oceanside was out as well. She made lots of sighing noises and told me how busy she was and then proceeded to slam the number directory on the counter. Her behavior continued like this until I finished my purchase. Honestly, I didn't want to even buy anything from your store after that experience but my son is having a party and dying for those supplies. Your employee needs a significant amount of training in customer service.

I went to your Hallsferry location in St.louis.I'am a US Army veteran an was told they only used active duty ID is this true?? They were rude as well.If you give veteran discounts please make ALL aware.

I tried returning a costume before hg Halloween that doesn't fit. I took my receipt with me and the manager tells me there is no returns on costumes. No one told me that when I bought it and doesn't state that on the receipt.she points down to a sign on a counter. Seriously who sees that. The mgr was rude about it. I will never step foot in another party city in my life. I've never bought a costume there before but I guess it will be the first and the last.

Hey im a co-worker at Conyers Party City and the manager was is so rude and unprofessional.she is not sympathic about her co-workers and she treat us mostly like servants more than co-workers.She basically make us feel like we are unwanted and very underneath her.

I was unhappy with the service I received today at Part City. I ordered and paid for balloons and they were not ready at the pick up time. The balloons had to be blow up while I was waiting making me late for work.

Today I visited your location in Rockford Illinois. We were shopping for Halloween costumes for my two toddlers. We first picked a costume from the wall, then had to go clear across the store to pick it up, then to another location in the store to try one, then back to pickup location to bring costume that didn't work, THEN all the way back to the other side of the store to select another costume. While shopping for costumes for two children this was a TON of back and forth, alliance we were only able to pick one costume at a time.
We finally found a costume that worked, but it has a piece missing. When I went to exchange it for a costume that wasn't missing a piece no employee was around. We then went to the other side of store, she radioed for someone to get us another one. Once again we made our way back to the other side of their store only to be handed a "replacement" costume that was missing EVERY accessory!! The employee quickly disappeared causing me to AGAIN walk to the other side of the store. Once again employee radioed the other employee. We were sent back to the other side of the store and offered the costume w the missing piece at a discount. Most of the employees were not willing to go the extra step to ensure I was being helped. I must've circled that store 8 plus times to correct their mistake. Horrible layout and very frustrating to moms.
