My girlfriend was born with cystic firbrosis and underwent a double lung and liver transplant when she was 15. She is now 10 years out and healthy. Unfortunatly we got a letter today saying her main medicines would be considered specialty and no longer covered at a normal pharmacy. Mail order only. Because of this the prices for her meds have become outrageous for a person on disability. sigma has basically told her she can either pay or do without. Im at a loss as to what to do and signa has been no help whatsoever.

Customer Service - Horrible. Inconsistent answers. I've called now 10 times working through hearing aid coverage for in-network provider. I have had different answers, 2 associates 'place me on hold for just a moment' then had a dial tone. No call back after 1 1/2 days. I was then sent to "Network Adequacy" person whom the original associate told me would review and advise how to proceed. They told me I had to have my PCP call. I explained that it was my ENT and audiologist who were involved. She said "Well your PCP had to call". I asked to speak to a supervisor and she said she'd need to place me on hold. The hold music sounds just like a dial tone. Yup...she hung up.

I had a telephone automated survey from CIGNA the end of last week and I gave the honest replies which were poor. I will be very surprised if CIGA follows up on this. I am searching now for the email address of any of the executive team.

The customer service for Cigna is the very worst possible experiences that you can imagine. It seems that no one knows what they are doing. They try to blame the pharmacist for problems submitting claims and filling prescriptions. If possible go to another health care provider.

I WORK IN A MEDICAL OFFICE AND YOU ARE RIGHT--CUSTOMER SERVICE WITH CIGNA IS A JOKE. EVERY TIME WE CALL TO FIND OUT WHERE TO SEND OUR CLAIMS, WE GET A DIFFERENT ANSWER. THE ADDRESS ON THE BACK OF THE CARD IS NEVER RIGHT. WE HAVE FILED ONE CLAIM 13 DIFFERENT TIMES BECAUSE WE GET 13 DIFFERENT ANSWERS FROM CIGNA--THAT IS WHEN WE CAN GET A REAL PERSON. THEN THEY SAY NOT PAID BECAUSE OF TIMELY FILING. MY SUGGESTION: GO WITH BLUE CROSS. THEY ARE ROCK SOLID. THE SUPERVISOR WE SPOKE WITH APPARENTLY DID NOT EVEN READ THEIR NEWSLETTER BECAUSE SHE HAD NO IDEA THAT THEY WERE ABOUT TO ISSUE NEW SUBSCRIBER CARDS! SINCERELY, CECIL CAREY

24/7 service is a joke. I called at 9:20 and was told that my estimated wait time was 20 minutes - a long time but since I rec'd what is clearly a fraudulent claim/eob I thought it important - phone transfers to ring at 9:50 rings until 9:53 NO ANSWER. I call back at 9:54 again 20 estimated wait 28 minutes still no transfer - especially frustrating, I am a CIGNA employee.
