COSTCO Complaint



Hello, my name is Ale Markov and I would like to file formal complaint against management of COSTCO Temp store located on Elliot . I have shopped in multiple COSTCO stores, however the COSTCO Tempe store is the worse I have ever been. And it�s not because of store cleanliness or selection, but the management and staff members. Both management and staff personnel is rude and disrespectful to their customers.



Clear example was today, May 25, 2014 when I came to the store around 3:00pm for Memorial Day holiday shopping with my entire family. The person at the entrance, Sean, asked me for membership card and I answered that I do have it on me. Sean asked me and then insisted to show my membership card to him. I told Sean that I do have it and I would appreciate him to trust me and don�t insult me by not trusting me. However, Sean forcefully insisted�. I asked for the manager and Sean asked for one. Manager, named Jeromy, came in and in very, very unprofessional and insulting manner was schooling me on COSTCO rules and contract requirements. I challenged Jeromy on (1) Being respectful and courteous to COSTCO customers and (2) On contract verbiage. Jeromy refused to listen to me and sent me to Membership Desk representative, Jill. Jill was trying to make the case that based on the contract, member will be asked for the membership card, however I clearly indicated to Jill that request for the membership card does not obligate member to show it at the front entrance. Jill laughed at me and I asked for a second level manager. Second level manager, Chris, came in and demonstrated his clear inability to handle difficult customer situation. Chris hardly talked to me and showed nothing but support to Jeromy, Sean and Jill and had nothing to the main person in the conversation - the CUSTOMER.



That day, I was planning to buy a lot of items at COSTCO, however I was rejecting most of them being so upset how I was treated at the front and by COSTCO Tempe store management. Instead of spending ~$800 I just spent about ~$400. I was and still very, very upset with COSTCO Tempe store management.



My request is to (1) Eliminate mandatory membership card display at the entrance of the store and (2) Coach COSTCO Tempe store management on customer satisfaction and customer respect.
