Bought a Whirlpool Gold dishwasher in 12/2009. Household of 2 running dishwasher 2-3 a week. Top control panel push buttons
coming completely off... it is like peeling off fingernail polish... Leaving blanks and no idea what button to push... No help at all from Whirlpool for an appliance which has problems... investing in lots of scotch tape... to hold it together!!!

Worst ever customer service in chennai. I purchased a fridge and on delivery found it to be defective. Since then i have been calling customer care for three months and no proper response. Everytime they say within two days and three months have passed. They are the biggest liars i have come across. We do not get contact numbers of higher authorities to escalate and these guys keep on lying everytime we call them. Worst company

OMG! I just bought a Cabrio. I wish I would have read this first. So far no problems (knock on wood) but everyone with a problem should send a complaint to the bbb. Good luck.

Purchased Whirlpool refrigerator wrf989sdam

It is now 5 months old 4 service calls still does not work, has ruined hardwood floors, and made life miserable, customer service is non existent... HH Gregg the retailer has been totally worthless in the replacement of this LEMON! Whirlpool service has, blow torched off the fittings, replaced bimetallic parts, filled with dye which has now blown all over back of unit, and now want to install new evap...

I say enough is enough Whirlpool stand behind your product and either replace or remove

I have a Cabrio washer and dryer and have had problems with both. The dryer will not heat properly after replacing the heating element, high limit thermostat, and the thermal cutoff, none of this has helped. Air flow is good through the ducting and the dryer has been vaccumed out and is clean throughout.

The washer has a bearing going out on the tub. This seems to be a problem with many of the washers I have seen comments about.
My washer is less than three years old and this is not normal for a bearing to fail this quickly., Whirlpool has a definite recall issure with the bearing problem. I was a mechanic for 23 years and bearings do not fail this quickly unless they are a very poor quality.

We purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio washer (model # WTW5500XW3) and dryer (model # J6C1536ADS15) in January 2013. Neither has worked properly since the very first load of wash we did in them. The washer leaves very large amounts of lint on clothes; we have to wash clothing two and three times to remove the lint, and sometimes even then the lint sticks. I don't know where it's coming from. Three different repair technicians have done diagnostics on the machine, replacing a sensor, but find nothing else wrong. Yet each technician commented on the large amount of lint remaining on clothing. AND one tech told us he'd have to charge us for the repair call despite its being under warranty! We shouldn't have been surprised at that threat; several Whirlpool employees have been downright rude on the phone. The dryer doesn't dry clothing in a normal amount of time and doesn't dry evenly. We would like to exchange these machines. Unfortunately, we are very dissatisfied with both machines even though up onto now we've always liked Whirlpool products.

Learning to dislike Whirlpool 5/29/13 8:25PM

Just changed my Hotpoint washing machine for a whirlpool AWD 5206.It takes approx 50% longer and my electricty bills have drastically incresed, I assume this is because the Hotpoint took in hot water where the Whirlpool operates from cold water.Beware!!.

I got a letter from Whirlpool warranty service with FALSE information. It stated that I have "the right to schedule no-cost in-home repairs, thanks to your warranty" and urged me to extend the original warranty.
I say "No thanks" to your bogus warranty, Whirlpool! Even your original warranty doesn't deliver on its promised coverage.
The display on my Whirlpool Whispure 510 air purifier no longer worked properly so I called their warranty office because my unit was less than a year old and still under the original "warranty". Here's what happened:
I would speak to someone in the coverage department. Then I would (supposedly) be transferred to another dept that would they said would assist me. Instead, I would go though the SAME voice mail options and end up where I started. I went through this countless times.
After I persisted and even read the terms of their own warranty back to them, I was told that I would need to send in my heavy unit for repairs at my own expense (after I received their repair form in 7-10 days).
The point of all this is to alert folks to the Whirlpool warranty scam of promising repairs on a faulty product and then not delivering on it.
They count on people giving up in frustration if they ever do call for the repair service that is stated as covered in their warranty.
Every person you speak with asks for your serial and model number and customer info before they send you off to voice mail options again. Don't they enter this information in their database?
I'm calling the Better Business Bureau. Whirlpool warranty DOES NOT honor the terms of their own written agreement.

I have owned a whirlpool washer, dryer, stove, microwave, dishwasher, and refrigerator. None of them lasted for more than a couple of years. The company could not care less about quality control, and certainly does not care about customer satisfaction.Their policy is one of planned obsolescence. Anything this company makes will fall apart within the first three years of use. Buy whirlpool and you'll regret it. I certainly have... So far 100% of the applainces I have had from this company were poorly made, and the "customer service reps" were more interested in defending the company than solving the problem.
