When I originally signed up for OnStar I was told my unused phone minutes would carry forward if I renewed my service. When it came time to renew I was told that I was on a "special" rate and the new rate would be higher and the unused minutes (all since I never used any minutes) would not carry forward. I canceled the service and on the last billing they raised my rate. They got an extra $6.00 from me and my lasting antipathy.

Trying to get to customer service 888# is next to impossible. They are always too busy to connect! ALL I want to do is discontinue my service since I NO longer have my Malibu! HELP is not a good name for HELP DESK!

At First I Enjoyed Onstar Service Then After It Was Time To Renew Instead Of Sending Me A Mailing Renewal I Was Charge Money By Month By Credit Card After Calling And Correcting The Situations.onstar Still No Sent Papers So I Would Rate Them A 3 Out 10.i Wouldn't Recommend It To Anyone

bot new chevy with onstar,going back in reverse I passed out went through a barn and stop in aditch fullof water . rescue was called not by onstar car towed to dealer.onstar didn't know where car was.called onstar they told me car had a low rear tire. onstar gave me 30 free days,the trouble was car was being fix for 70 days.16 thou damage. onstar is nouthing but a bigggg joke

I Am Not Happy With Customer Service That After They Took Out 18.95 X 5 From My Credit Card, In Which Shouldn't Have Been Done...because I Did Not Have The Service During That Time.
Then Tell Me They Can Not Place The Money Back On My Card For A Instant Credit, In Which I Need Back Asap... They Tell Me They Will Return The Money Back To My Checking Or Mail A Check Within The Next 7 Days.... Not Happy About This.. At All...

I just got off the phone with your billing department, and i 'm not happy, that my credit card, will not put back payments you took my credit card company is going to charge me for you taking too much out of my account, you were to only take 12.95 per month for a year, but your billing department took 12.95 X 2 plus 16.84, this has put me in bad with my credit card company!!!

I am taking over my elderly father's financial affairs. He has one car but is billed for 4. Some but not all of this is his fault. The strange part is that when he bought a used car formerly owned by "Mr. X" Onstar was happy to put the Onstar service in my dad's name. However, when "mr. X" bought a new car they put his Onstar on my Dad's bill. I was able to stop that one before we paid any money. Big question: what is it about your system that allows an old guy who buys a used car to get billed for a car bought by someone he doesn't know? In the same vein, my dad is being billed for a car he has never owned that is owned by a man he has never heard of. I wonder if this mystery man is a GM employee. I keep calling Onstar & they tell me I will get an answer in 5-7-10 days. But I don't have a answer. Next stop: attorney General's office.

Recently I looked into the Directions and Connections plan with OnStar and was able to get a good savings. We set it up that my credit card would be billed in mid September. When I made the upgrade it was the last week of July. I checked my credit card account a few days later only to find, that OnStar had charged my account 2-3 days after I contacted them and not, in mid September as agreed. I sent an e-mail and explained the error only to receive and answer that refered me to Billing. I called and after nearly two hours was able to get them to credit my credit card for the charge they madde and then, to charge my account on the agreed upon date in September (one time payment for full amount). After I hadn't been billed I checked my credit account to fine that they had billed me on a month to month rate and not the one time payment. I called them again and after an hour and a half and being passed around from person to person I learned to some idiot went and canceled my new plan after I received the credit on my credit card and put me on a month to month program. The last person I spoke with agreed to give me the up grade at the agreed upon price and said the billing I saw was for one month service and I would have to pay that. I refused saying I didn't create the problem at hand. She changed her mind and arranged to have a refund mailed to me instead of just giving me a credit (said she couldn't do that) on my card. She also extended my plan for three months at no charge. Remains to be seen what happens next. This isn't the first issue I've had with OnStar but certainly will be. I've had issues with them taking my unused phone minuets away and a major problem when I purchased a new car and transfered my account to this car (traded in the old one). They ended up canceling my account (and everything that went with it) and created a new account. You wouldn't believe what I had to go through on that one. My advice, make certain you document fully all contact you have with OnStar and further, demand an e-mail that discribes any and all terms that were agreed upon. And don't hesitate to write directly to the corporate office. I did that once and they went out of their way to see that my concerns were taken care of.
