I'm getting rid of my DIRECTV because of thier terrible customer service. Their own equipment failed and they insist on charging me $19.95 to ship me a replacement receiver. Now I see why Comcast is number 1. Screw you DIRECTV! It should be customer comes first!

I switched to DIRECTV from DISHNETWORK 32 hours ago. I came home from work and it is not working. They could not resolve the problem over the phone so they said they would send someone out. She said normally there is a $49 service fee but since it has been less than 90 days they would waive it. DISH never charged me for service. The earliest they can send someone is May 29th! I will be without tv for two weeks! Gee when I wanted to order new installation someone was here the next day. I made a big mistake in switching. I had DISH NETWORK for years and have never had a problem.

I just had a new directtv installed in my cabin. The installation went great. But when we turned it on we did not receive the channels we were promised buy the sales person. He totally misrepresented and promised we would be getting the channels we asked for. I am totally upset. We have other tv's with you and I shurly will not renue. I called your company about this and was told I shoud have ordered a different program. Had I caught this before your installer left I would never signed any agreement. I was also told that a copy of our agreement would be e mailed to me. I did not receive anything. You lost a good customer. John Roscoe

We have been a customer since last Dec. We switched from dish because of what we were informed was better customer service and we wanted the NFL package. Since then it has been nothing but a fricking nightmare. He came on a friday, installed the cable to the Tv's but could not put the pole and cable in until he called the one call ( which I think would be the first thing you would do before you come to a site). Since then we have not seen anyone. The cable still runs over the top of the ground and our dish is still sitting on cement blocks in the back yard. Now when we call they say it will take anothere $150.00 to have them come and "FINISH" what they were suppose to do the first time. Oh , and just try calling customer service. Plan on repeating yourself at least 20 times and taking at least 2 hours to try to explain your problem with someone at least 10 states away about what is going on. There is a service man that live only 20 miles from us and when they had it installed, that man came from 150 miles away. I mean what the heck. In our opinion, this company is run like a joke.

Spoke to tech in Utah re concerns with certain owned receivers that will not be able to shortly receive programming due to having their system upgraded to a better format. Only 1 out of 2 receivers will be effected and have to be replaced (free of charge), and answered ALL my questions to this change in services and my other concerns with RF remotes. Did NOT rush me off the phone. Very patient.

I just spoke with Mark in Virginia and he talked me through several problems I created and answered my "what if " questions. I moved several TV's around and couldn't get the responses I needed from the TV's....Mark walked me through the solutions and was friendly, professional and very competent. I've always been satisfied with your staff and service. Thanks.

The most incompetent people I have ever dealt with. I just wanted two simple questions answered for my mother and there was no need to see the account because the questions were unrelated but could not get the answers. I am not sure if it was ignorance but I could not get them to answer my questions. I wanted to know if a HD receiver would work with a round 18 inch dish. I know it won't give HD reception but I just wanted to know if it would still receive the signal for normal TV like the non HD receiver. Seems like a pretty simple question.

Time to switch to Dish Network. I'm a long time customer and had a bump in the road financially I wanted to make a payment this week then next but only the full past due is acceptable. You'd think for a good long term customer that you might get some consideration but not here. So directv you've lost a customer Dish Network will be installed tomorrow.

You must have the most incompent installers in the industry. Please don't install another system on my property unless you want a law suit, any installers that would punch holes in a roof or drill holes through siding to run wires should be run out of business
