To the folks who are complaining that they cant rent games without a debit/credit card. Don't be pissed at Blockbuster. Be pissed at the people who rented games and didn't return them. Do you really think Blockbuster wants to continue to take hits like that? Lets see... Some guy without a card on his account rents a $60 game for $10. He decides that he wants to keep said game. Without a card on the account Blockbuster cant be properly compensated for this theft.

Blockbuster is a nightmare. Not only is the immediate service provided from store locations poor, disinterest in customer service and retention continues to the offshore customer service representatives and even the poor performance from the customer satisfaction survey you're asked to complete at a call's conclusion.

I left $82 in purchases on the counter at the Glendale, California store (on N. Pacific Ave.) due to poor attitude and broken equipment. The next day I called the store's manager and was greeted by someone entirely disinterested in helping me. When I made a suggestion on how the issue might be resolved I received an unfriendly "I'll do that just for you" response. I was told that equipment hadn't been fixed because it would take the manager an hour or two to do their job. Yet, when I said I'd wasted an hour in the store the response was one of not caring about my inconvenience. I tried the corporate office - no answer on the phone. I tried the overseas 866 line and was greeted by yet another disinterested person. When asked to take a satisfaction survey at the end of that call I requested that a manager contact me. The automated system requested a phone number - it repeated the request for the number over and over, interrupting before I could input the information. I went from concerned to furious thanks to their "customer care."

I now have no doubts why Blockbuster is failing and, to be honest, hope those at the top who have allowed the company to fall apart are on the unemployment line soon.

What I think sucks is that you have to have a active debit credit card to rent a stupid game. I mean times are hard some of us just don't have the extra money to keep on the card. I've belong to BlockBuster for over 10yrs and I've never been late to return anything I think my city needs to find some competition.

I love blockbuster! I hate that there are so many negative comments. We have blockbuster online. In the last year and a half we have rented a total of 350 movies. Per month that would total like 90 something dollars. . . all we pay is $20 a month!! How can you beat that?!?! The people at the stores know us on a first name basis and are just all around nice people!

Do NOT give these schiesters access to your accounts. I canceled this account THREE times already and I just got ANOTHER stupid movie that *I* didn't order. They charged us for two months AFTER we canceled! If this is happening to you and if you are a military family, I would like to know about it. I am a writer with examiner.com in Atlanta as the Atlanta Military Families Examiner. I told them before that if this continues, I was going to get SERIOUSLY curious and now...I AM! Military families can be taken advantage of by large companies who see a regularly deposited paycheck and seek to take advantage of that. We are also a military family and if this is happeing to your military family, tell me about it at examiner.com/atlanta and I'll contact BBO Corporate and get a comment and then write about how BBO is either taking advantage of their customer base or is operated by base morons who cannot fathom the word "CANCEL".

I haven't used my blockbuster card in maybe a year, well three days ago I get a change on my credit card for a movie rental. I call my local store and ask what the hell is going on, the lady tells me that she doesnt see anything on my account, and I should call customer service, so I call and the tell me that I supposelly rented a movie in some where in AZ, but I dont live in AZ never been to AZ. the the guy that doesnt speak english very good tell me the the district manager in my area will give me a call in about three days, well its been four no call no nothing....Blockbuster you just lost another customer... I cant wait till you go out of business your customer service sucks....

I just moved to a new city, and at my old home town all we had was a movie gallery wish i love them, anywho, so i rented three movies and yes like any other human being i forgot to bring them back well i finally i took them back and the next morning i look at my checking account and i had a 139.67 charge from blockbuster i was highly upset, so i called the manganer and he said that he could refund 75.00 what only 75. what about the other that i was charge. wish i know i owed a late fee but damn that much. thats crazy.

I am actually happy to discover that bb is discrinating aginst the hanicapped and that bb considers the united states govt. especially the social security aedmin a bad risk. Ifor one intend to do all possible to make this right since i sit at my computer all day in my wheelchair, i have no movies to watch so i will email and call everyone starting with ssa, irs, fcc, and all govt agencies conected to bb. and tell them joyfully what bb thinks of them and the disabled of this country. your people hung up on were rude and disrespectful, no i will return the favor.

I just called customer service converning a lost movie from a kios. The service from friendly and helpful. I cancelled my online service over a year ago but with this issue I had no problem resolving my issue. Hate to see all the negative comments.
