I got my tv about three years ago, Im a single mom and wanted something nice for the children. I spent 1200 took years to accomplish and save. My tv has pink, blue, red, yellow lines flashing on the screen. This promblem happened while my children was watching tv and I was on the computer. There was a clunk and the sreen went. Just like that no one touched it. It's really ashame for companies to Scam families that work hard for thier money. My tv was brought from Sears what a shame. Smh !!!!

I bought a DZHS300A camcorder, and there is absolute no support for this device whatsoever. First, the specs said it is USB 2.0 device, which is it not. The speed copy is at 1.5meg, which is a USB 1.1

Now, the software disc can no longer be read, and when called them to get a replacement. They don't have it. This is freaking BS. The camcorder only came out for 3 years. Without the software, nothing can read the contents from the camera. It became trash now.

Same problem everyone else is having we've had the hitachi55vs69 barely three years and there is a greenish haze that covers the entire screen. I can't believe we spent 1200 on a tv that lasts barely three years. I'll never buy Hitachi anything ever again. It's cheaper to buy a new tv than to replace the busted light engine. What is the sense in having a 55" inch very pricey brand name tv if it only lasts three years?! The picture has been getting progressively worse the last 2 months or so....it's simply aggravating to try to watch at all anymore.

I have a problem with a 55VS69A of a blue haze on the top and corner and yellow haze on the other corner. I called a reprentative of Hitachi and he basically said that they cant help me. They previously know these TV were defective. I wont even mention how expensive will be to fix it. So I have to basically go and buy another one and you bet it wont be HITACHI. It is really aggravating to know that a TV so expensive didnt last more than 3 years.

The only thing I can do now basically is to go buy another TV. I wont ever buy Hitachi again.

We have the responsibility of spreading the word around about how crappy their products are. In this time with the Facebook, youtube, twitter, we the consumers have a voice. Boycott HITACHI!!

I have a Hitachi 55VS69 and have had it for 3yrs and 2 months. The bulb was replaced at 3 yrs. It now has a predominantly blue screen.

A technician from the place I bought it came out to assess the problem and told me the light engine had gone bad and that it would need to be replaced. He politely informed me that a refurbished engine would be about $550 if they could even find one and a new one would be about $650 again if they had any in stock, plus $300 to install it since the whole TV had to be dismantled.

So after spending @ $1700 for the TV barely over 3 yrs ago I now have to come up with almost a $1000 to repair it. I'm better off going out and buying a new TV, especially a brand that has a better repair track record. If I had wanted a disposable TV I would have bought a Vizio, LG or Insignia.

It really frosts my rear-end that Hitachi won't stand by a product that they know is defective. They are nothing more than a bunch of rip-off or scam artists.

Let me be clear when I say this: I WILL NEVER EVER BUY ANOTHER HITACHI PRODUCT. I don't care if it's the last product on earth, I will do without.

My husband and I have a Hitachi TV that is less than 3 yrs old and has been invaded by the revenge of Sponge Bob- a huge yellow blob!! From the research I am seeing this is definitely a design flaw that went wrong. I think Hitachi planned this failure... I just dont think they expected it to be this bad. They were busted they design an expensive TV that would fail after a short period of time, but out of warranty. The consumer has to repair-- Hitachi makes even more money... what a scam!!I want my TV fixed and we are not going to pay for it.Im outraged that these companies sell these appliances and electronics and do not stand behind them.

The blue blob is from the light engine going out. Good Luck I have had one replaced on them and now awaiting HHGreg to fix the second one that has gone out in less then a year. HHGreg has told me many things about this issue from they don't make them anymore to we have one on order. This dance has been going on for or three months now. They are trying anything they can so they don't have to stand by the extened warrenty that I bought that they suggested.

We have owned a Hitachi TV for 3 years. Before the TV was even 1 year old there was a blue blob in the middle of our screen. Hitachi paid for the repair and it took FOREVER for it to get repaired. We waited for almost 3 months. Then less than a year after that problem was repaired another problem. Of course no help from Hitachi because apparently they only stand behind their product for the 1 year warranty. Less than one year after that (as of today) yet another problem. The same blue blob is back. Hitachi refuses to replace the TV because it is not under their warranty. We have owned this TV for 3 years and every year there is a problem with it that Hitachi takes no responsibility for. We will never own another Hitachi.
