I am confused about your policy when purchasing tires.
On the envelope containing my bill, it states
that Mounting and balancing of tires is
included with every tire purchased and installed at Costco Tire Centre.
I was charged an additional $60 to mount and
balance my tires. The employee stated that
they had signs "everywhere" stating that the
cost was $15 per tire. Which is it? Included or not included in the purchase?

I have been a member of Costco in Colchester VT. since it first opened. I am a gold member and also am taking advantage of Costco's auto insurance. I have been to Costoco many times and over the years have spent thousands of dollars and have always been satisfied with the products I have purchased and the customer service until this past weekend when I was treated very poorly by 3 different employees in the Colchester Vt. store. I had a pretty large order with lots of small items so needed a box to put my items in. I was told by the bagger that if I wanted a box, that I needed to get it myself because he was too busy. I proceeded to get 2 small boxes from under the register next to the one I was at, the bagger was clearly not happy that I gave him the boxes, the person on register rolled his eyes at me. Things were just throw into the boxes and at the end of the order, I tried to give the register person my coupon book and he pushed it away and told me he had already used his coupons. He basically threw my card and reciept at me when he was done and just started the next order. I first thought that the both of them were just having a bad day so shrugged it off and said, "Thank you have a great day" but neither even acknowledged me. To make matters worse, on the way out I was looking for another box for my items and stopped at a register which had a lot and asked for one and again was totally ignored. I ended up by bending down to get my own box and the bagger at this register blocked me from getting the box! By this time I was very upset and just wanted to leave your store. I am not sure what was going on that day. I know it was busy but, I have never been treated this way before and am thinking of ending my membership with Costco. I am sure that the manager from this store would like this information and am hoping that this email makes it to the Colchester Vt. store. Thank you. Denise Rock

I have a costco executive card, today 3/15/13
I purchased gas at your store in Schumburg Il, it was .12 per gallon higher than your store in MT Prospect, Il 10 miles away. Also, they are charging $3,89 gal or the same prices as regular gas stations. What a deal I pay over $100 for a card and get no discount. How can you have stores in the same area have different prices? Don't no if I will renew.

The Orlando, Fl location is the most poorly run store I have ever seen. Three of us went to purchase memberships today and the membership/returns desk was a zoo. No organization. No definiely marked queue. The customer service reps had no idea what they were doing and were extremely rude. We waited for 20 minutes and had at least 12 people who came in after us serviced first. When it was finally our turn (although people kept walking in after us and being taken care of) and we were at the counter, the service rep said to wait one minute. She left us and went to wait on a long line of returns and kept us waiting forever with no one taking her place and no acknowledgement from anyone. When we went over and asked what happened she started screaming that she is only one person and what did we want her to do. We asked for a manager and no one ever came or card. What a bunch of incompetents work here. Needless to say, none of us purchased a membership and none of us will. You coudn't pay US to shop here. What a dirty, disgusting nightmare of a store.

I purchased 4 patio chairs and 2 lounges appx 3 years ago. OnoOne of the chairs, the fabric tore away from the seat frame. I phoned cust service and received a phone number to call. I phoned and was given a website. Got to the website only to discover the fabric for the seat cost $60 with P&H. The chair only cost $49. It is a shame to throw out the chair (ecologically) and purchase a new one; but, that is precisely what you are promoting. This is unsatisfactory as to cost and alternatives.

The employee named Sung at the register at Hayward Costco needs to learn some customer service skills. I came to Costco looking for something specific which i did not find. He would not let me out through the line because I did not buy anything. Where else am I supposed to exit from. He told me to exit from somewhere else. Ridiculous!! Not coming back to see his face

My family absorbed a nasty product from COSTCO (Ren0, Nevada) store two days ago... although COSTCO is not directly the culprit, this is an advisory to anyone considering purchase of this nasty bit... here is my letter to the offending company...

Dear Sojo Foods (and hopefully this email will make it to the president of your firm!)

We purchased a Sojo Tataki Style AlboacreTuna Loin (Sashimi Grade) yesterday (Friday) from the COSTCO store in Reno, Nevada. The item # isa 4418, the pack date was 02/14/13, with a total weight of 9.49 pounds for an overall price of $17.65.

My wife and I would love to know where your quality control may have disappeared to, as such was certainly not evident with this package. This was the most God awful tuna we have ever not-enjoyed… the loin was approximately 70 percent fat and was replete with globular tissue that wouldn't cut, even with a sharp knife, after a slight searing using a pan on our stove. The tissue had to be, quite literally, pulled apart with a fork and there was no solid consistency anywhere to be found within the loin.

The small was horrific when cooking, as though we were in a chum station at the end of a pier. The feel of the flesh upon the tongue was slimy and bitter to the taste. This was an abhorrent product and unworthy of you to sell to ANY consumer.

We shall also be writing to COSTCO's fish acquisition team to advise them of this unfortunate presentation by your firm of this alleged tuna loin. There is simply no excuse for shipping this horrific product to COSTCO.

Kelly in member services at Costco coeur d'alene gave me poor customer service when I was waiting in line to apply for a member card. I had been waiting for sometime and it was my turn but she told the woman about to serve me that it was someone else's turn. I had been the only person after a rather large group before the other couple walked up so it's possible she hasn't seen me: I explained is been waiting where I was for longer. Kelly then informed me that I was not waiting in the correct spot, that there was only one line and i hadn't been in it. I walked away in disbelief. I then noticed that there were three separate lines formed by the time my children had gotten their food. So I felt even more confused and treated rudely. And I will not be getting my member card, and I'll be happy to let others know my negative experience.

We have had nothing but problems with the eye glass center at Costco in Corona California.

My wife bought an expensive frame from Oliver Peoples during a one day, once a year sale. These were $330.00 dollar frames that they sold to us for 120.00. We went to Costco to have the lenses made, and they charged us $18.00 extra to put lenses in another companies frames. We paid for the lenses and turned it into out eye glass insurance for reimbursement.

Well, 2 weeks later we called to see if the glasses were done yet. And low and behold, they lost the frames. We can come down and pick up another frame from Costco. Those were expensive frames!! We've given them 3 weeks to see if they can find the frames. But to no avail. We've taken the receipts in to show Costco what they lost. We can't replace these frames for under $300.00. We even talked to Oliver Peoples, they said have Costco call them and they'd sell the frames to Costco. At one time we were even told by a salesman in Costco's eye glass department "sometimes people have sticky fingers".

Costco should be calling Oliver peoples and replacing these frames. We have never had this bad of service for glasses before. And now insurance is a mess and still no glasses. Today 2/8 we got a call from Costco eye glasses that the frames just fell into a hole. We're to the point that this is going to be complained about all over the internet, web sites, and Costco sites unless we get Costco to do the right thing.

Dec 19, 2012: I put an order for treadmill at Costco online.
Jan 10, 2013: I got a phone call to schedule a delivery. The earliest was Jan. 22, and was told someone will call me in advance to confirm the delivery.
Jan 22, 2013: after I went back home, I got a message on answer machine: they tried to deliver but did not call me in advance.
Jan 23, 2013: I called Costco and its delivery company JB Hunt, waited 24 mins with no answer. Sent out 3 emails, only JB Hunt replied. Called JB Hunt at night, they agreed to deliver on Jan. 26.
Jan 24, 2013: JB Hunt called me said they can not deliver on Jan 26. Told them it has to be delivered by Jan 26, otherwise I will cancel it. They agreed to delivery on Jan 26.

Five weeks after the order, have not seen anything. You judge it.
