I had taken my vehicle for its first service on the 12/04/2013. Everything was fine Bmw service advisor kept sending my messages regarding the status of the vehicle. i fetched my car at 5pm drive to pick my son the there was a terrible noise coming from the right hand side of the wheel.I drove home and immediately phoned the aftersales department. the service i received was very effient.Within 20mins of my call a technician was at my house to sort out the problem. I was really amazed with the service I recieved from Roy The technician. Well done to him for the friendly sevice. i will recommend him anytime.

I have owned 5 bmws and have purchased 3 from the same dealership. The last 2 have been nightmares. The first was a 2004 x5 and this is a 2007 x5. This vehicle has 57,000 miles on it and has had 4 oil leaks, a transmission leak, coolant problems and electrical problems. The problems started at 48,000 miles immediately after the warranty was up. $10000 later and after having the vehicle in the service center at least 8 times ,I am still having issues. My main complaint is not only the unreliability of a BMW but also the lack of understanding from the dealership . Habberstad BMW on Long Island, N. Y. They actually had the nerve to blame me for a variety of problems. They claimed that the taillight assembly burnt out due to leaving the car in the sun and allowing it to heat up and catch fire. When the heater blower broke 2 days after servicing, they claimed that I sucked leaves into the engine and destroyed the fan. Every time you ask for service , you get lies and excuses. Interestingly, every time a repair was made, a new issue erupted days later."It was never their fault". In attempting to contact the owner, I was advised that he does not speak with customers. When I attempted to reach the general manager, he never responded. The most frustrating part was having absolutely no recourse with any problems and no one to speak with. Their response was always it was not the responsibility of the person whom I was speaking with. I would never buy another BMW and would not step foot in Habberstad BMW again!

My experience with BMW and my 645 CI has been horrendous. While the car is a 2005 it has been in the shop over 110 days and the current bill stands at over $14,000 and the problem is still not fixed. The electronic warning signals continually flash existing problems. The dealers think it might be a transmission issue or an alternator which in total would be @ an additional$7500. My experience with BMW customer service has been terrible as I have yet to have an actual conversation but instead get messages every 2 weeks or so. Just bought my wife an SL550 did not even consider BMW.

We ordered a new BMW 650i from Vista Motors; this would be my wife's 4th BMW in a row over the past 20 years. What is rather unfortunate is the extraordinary decline in service over that period. It is almost as if BMW has taken up the mantel of my local Chevy dealer. The first dealer at South Motors lied to us about the lease program that BMW had in place, and when caught explained that everyone at BMW scams their clients when they can. We then went to another dealership, Vista Motors. We ordered the car in December; when no car turned up in the next two months we sought to contact them. Nineteen messages later, they have neither taken our calls nor answered our messages. We simply want to know when we can expect the car. As of yesterday (22 Feb 2013) I turned to BMW's customer help line. The agent called Vista motors, but they apparently refused to take his calls as well, and when he left a message, they failed to call him back. The agent explained that he can never remember a service manager refusing to call him back. My recommendation is that if you live in South Florida and we would like to purchase a BMW, go out of state or buy another make of car. I also own a BMW as does my daughter; but I think this will be the last for any of us. My wife and I have own BMW's for decades, it was once a great brand, but obviously no more.

Don't buy a BMW from Bakersfield BMW. The service department is the poorest in the business. The service manager Jim Leyendecker refuses to help so basically; don't expect any help in Bakersfield. I had a rim that cracked and needed to be replaced. I spoke with a serviceman and after a few minutes of examining the rim told me it's not unusual for a rim to crack. He said they probably have 40 around back similar to mine or worse. Jim the manager said "well I don't think we have 40". It appears there is a problem with BMW rims and the fix is to bury their heads in the sand and ignore it. That doesn't work for me. My family was at risk with this defective rim. So to everyone thinking of buying a BMW! Don't buy one from Bakersfield! Before leaving I gave Jim one last chance to make it right and replace the rim. He said" I've never seen one crack on its own and rims have no warranty. I guess the 40 around back didn't crack on their own either. Toyota denied that they had accelaration problems in 2010 too. Dnt buy bmw 11/5/12 1:31AM

in 2006 I bought a 2004 Z4 with just over 5000 miles on it. I love the car. However I cant drive it at night. Head lights are set so hi that they light up the roof of a two story house from a block away. OK head light adjustment. How hard can that be?? I have returned to the dealer eight times and have been told every thing from " the computer says the head lights are working properly to OK they adjusted now...After eight adjustments or at least eight trips to the dealership over the years, I still can't drive the car at night without being "flipped off" by on coming drivers. High beams are nowere near the road, and can't be used and low beams are still so high that I still get the flash of annoyance. this month (10/12) I have 25000 miles on my car and I still can't drive it at night. I am trying to get it into the dealership.------ again----- for one last try. Service manager says he will check lights and see whats up. Unfortunatly when I call service manager to coordinate a service along with headlight check he seldom returns my call. I work long hours and wanted this to be my toy car so I could drive it on short vacations and evenings after work, but it still can't be driven after dark. tomorrow I plan on calling BMW but after reading this blog I am beginning to feel that it will be useless and that my lawyer will be a better option. I'v ridden BMW bikes all of my life and the transition to four wheels was due to many close calls on two. Not to mention my age. Should have gone with Porche. At least I didn't buy my Wife the five series I wanted to buy. Bought her an infinity instead.... Got lucky on that one.

I have a 2009 BMW X5 with 34000 miles. the mechanic told me I need an enging due to sludge in the engine. BMW refuse to fix the problem despite the maintenance records showing it has been maintained and the extensive repairs were done by the BMW at factory intervals. Obviously this was a defective engine from the start. will be contacting the consumer bureau soon unless I receive some attention on this matter. This is not normal and BMW should cover the engine.

It's funny how BMW stands behind their product, WAY behind it. After speaking with a former dealership mechanic when they were notified than R&D has decided to change to a electronic water pump on their 2007 models, the mechanics raised the question of an overheating issue. They would rather damage the engine then be held liable for an accident caused by shutting down the motor. Funny thing happened on the 2013 models of BMW there appears an oil temperature gauge which appearss to provide a more accurate engine temperature which reduces power in the vehicle and ultimately saves the engine .
