My husband has cancer. We have been on Aetna for several years. We had to convert to Aetna COBRA policy and we're told there would be no break in our coverage. He was supposed to start his chemo drug four days ago and we have gotten nothing but the run-around on getting it filled which as of yet has been filled. I have spent many hours trying to give the information requested only to find more information is needed. Meanwhile, we wait and hope the delay in treatment is not making his cancer worse. How does get his medication expedited?!

Issues Galore w/ Aetna's Log in. Have made numerous attempts to reset my password, Never allowing me to view my "Letters", etc..beyond words to describe! Guess this Fabulous Ins. Company will have to "mail" me my Papers work, in order for my FMLA claim to be completed.
So far, a Horrible experience to say the least.

Most retarder reason they didn't process payment was because I have medical through the government my kid went to the ER and Aetna stopped they payment first off it's my exes insurance not mine he should get billed second what retards do they not have a computer and Internet to research partnership health plan which is medical from the government and is now secondary medical insurance

Fortunately I rarely need medical help, but recently was admitted to a hospital for a brief 1 day stay. I have learned a lot about Medicare, Aetna and HMO v PPO in this past week. Since I am locked in until January of next year, I want to strongly urge anyone reading this to NOT SIGN UP with AETNA! Being locked in to a provider for a year is bad enough, but I find it hard to believe the same provider will not budge on "your plan" once you are signed up. A person should at least be able to switch from HMO to PPO with the same Insurance company. The "customer service" (I say this faciously) people at Aetna with whom I have spoken were cold, brusque, and couldn't care less. Live and learn. In 2017 I will be more than happy to stop giving them MY MONEY.

Aetna changed my benefits from Primary to Secondary without my knowledge. I've been on phone for 6 days trying to get issue resolved. Talked to enrollment, conflict resolution specialist, supervisor, managers, and numerous reps. They have hung up on me, transferred me, and lied to me. Now I'm on hold again to be transferred right back to where I began.

Would love to be able to get status on an enrollment application from a live person just in case something is needed to be submitted for credentialing. I have called several times sent e-mails and just received the run-around. Hopefully our provider will be able to be credentialed within the time frame and applicaton will not be denied would hate to have to submit a whole new application just because I was not able to contact someone. Maybe second thoughts getting credenitaled with this provider.

I tried for 2 weeks to speak to adjuster, the staff who answered the 800 number refused to give me the actual extension number for the adjuster Catherine Manarang, saying they could put note in the file and send to her, or into her voicemail. I left voicemails, no reply. I entered request for contact on their website under my claim, no reply to anything.

I am a new member. I called to get a clarification on my eligibility for a shingles shot. I was passed around 6 times by automated customer service. I tried looking for this info online and could not find it. I hope this is not indicative of your customer service@

I have PAH, I have been covered under Aetna Ins.and was approved for Taladafil to help me breathe. My husbands company was sold and the new company does not deal with Express Scripts through Aetna, they have Aetna Pharmacy Direct. I need a refill but I can not get one. Its been a month since I have been trying. My doctor sent the precertifications again, he is told info is missing or theyre working on it or one thing or another and now I am out. I NEED THIS DRUG TO BREATHE. WHY DO I HAVE TO DO THIS, WHY MUST I HAVE TO BEG FOR SOMEONE TO HELP ME SURVIVE ANOTHER DAY...YOU ARE PRE-DIGGING MY GRAVE....SHAME ON YOU.

This is the worst medical coverage I have had in my entire life and I am 51 yrs. old. I have asthma and have been taking albuterol for 20 years and now this low life company has me jumping through hoops to get authorization for this medicine. I have $50 co-pay and they still want to charge me over $60 for ventolin and tell me that it's not covered by them. I hate this company, what they do to people is completely crooked and heartless. How are they allowed to operate like this?

Aenta is THE WORST OF THE WORST in customer service....heck you cannot even get someone on the phone to even speak with them....I have waited almost a whole hour, my whole lunch break, AND STILL COULD NOT speak to a live voice; I emailed a complaint with them stating I was going to contact the BBB on them and still no one has got a hold of me!!!! Aetna your company needs to really consider what you want from your customers or just shut your company down PERIOD!!!!. HORRIBLE...PLAN HORRIBLE. I am ending my plan with you and rather pay more somewhere else!!!!

I have been a member of Blue Cross/Blue Shield for 40+ years. I went to get a prescription filled today and the pharmacist informed me that I was not covered by Blue Cross/Blue Shield. I received some information from Aetna sometime ago but thought it was just informative information about the plan. Please contact me at this site and let me know if I have Aetna. I never sign on for it and I am dumdfounded.

This letter is to notify you, my complaint based on the conversation on 3/25/2014 at 6:10 pm east; about concern that I am having with the date of my returned to work from the LOA.
I am very dissatisfy with the customer service; call and requested to speak with a supervisor, in order to obtain more clarification about an issue, but The person or supervisor was very unprofessional, discourteous, defiant and sarcastic. He talked over me several times, refused to transfer the call to another supervisor; also pretended to transfer the call, but he only put me on hold for several minutes, I do not think that Aetna should offer that level of customer service, I felt mistreated and also discriminated, because just after he listen that I have a foreign accent, he changed his tone, turning aggressive, hostile and defiant.

I understand that Aetna bought out Coventry Carelink so after days of calling many different phone numbers for both Aetna and Coventry Carelink I got his number the Coventry Aetna Integration phone number. I ask the specialist I spoke with if I purchased Coventry would I have accessibility to the physicians that accept Aetna and she told me "NO". She said "Maybe in the future that might change but that it would be far into the future perhaps several years if at all." I was bit surprised by that answer since everyone that had spoken to had told me "Yes, but I am not sure, but let me transfer you someone that can answer your question and then I would hold for up to 50 minutes and no response just music and a tape telling me to be patient!" over all, I found this to have been a very very bad experience. Neither of the physicians I attend my primary care nor my Gynecologist accept Coventry Carelink they accept only Aetna but its insurance premiums and rates are much too high for me. I guess Coventry and Carelink is not a good solution for my problem.I guess I will have to look at other policies.

I cannot wait until open season comes around again. My son has been using brand medication for his epilepsy for the past 12 years and now they want to change it to generic. After 2 appeals AETNA decided that he could continue with the brand medication. The problem is that they did not update their system so everytime the store puts the prescription through it is declined. His neurologist office continues to call the pharmacy pre-cert department and they continue to tell her that his account needs updating, when I call to find out what kind of update is required the AETNA representative doesn't see that anything needs updating. This is ridiculous, Aetna is paid every two weeks without fail through payroll deduction. I am ready to go to the media with this.

The worst customer service I have ever encountered. I cannot tell if it is the wait time or the ignorance of the people once you get them on the phone that is worse. Held for 45 minutes to reach someone in billing, someone from customer service answers and tells me that they will transfer me to billing, but since they have no direct transfer system I may have another extended wait time. another 45 minutes...no one answered, gave up.
Tried again 2 hours later, have been on hold for 45 minutes. no answer.

Aetna is a nightmare. Their IVR systems will not connect you to a live rep to inquire how a claim processed or why a claim denied. You can no longer speak with a live rep regarding detail questions pertaining to benefits. At one point option 3 on the IVR recording was pre-cert department & that has been replaced with contact info. What is Aetna doing? Paying claims wrong, keeping premiums, and don't want to speak on it....SHAME!!!

I've Been Trying All Morning To Get Ahold Of A Live Agent Ans I Can't The Ivr Keeps Disconnecting My Call After Telling Me The Type Of Account My Pt Has Requires Me To Speak To An Agent, But I Can't Even Get Thru.
