I was very pleased with the representative I spoke with to receive the answers to my academic questions. This Department of Education, representative/agent was very kind, understanding & knowledgable concerning my academic inquiry. Also, my past experiences with contacting the Department of Education for direction or information pertaining to continuing my college education has always been professional and informative. I received a bad taste in my mouth after speaking to an rep! She was very impolite and belittling! She made me felt like I was in an hostile situation where she was talking to me in a loud tone!!!

Called three times. Never reached a person, once you said customer service the phone hung up or you heard static like the phone was recording a hurricane but the person was not there. Question never got asked. Question is: The college is thinking about liquidating the Perkins loans program. So if the Perkins loan is transferred to Dept of Ed and is in deferment because of a nursing cancellation,will the student be allowed to continue to maintain the benefit (their entitlement) of a nursing cancellation and deferment through the Dept of ED?

The woman who answered the phone was SO RUDE and NO HELP AT ALL. I was belittled and felt completely humiliated.

Unprofessional and rude. No other comments needed, they need some real human beings working there not rich snobs who don't care. Ya sure just take all of our money.. no problem.

HORRIBLE! I am single parent with a child who has severe behavioral difficulties. I tried to get an education while my child was still a baby & when my child turned 3 years old he started showing signs of severe behavior difficulties. I tried to work with customer service but I am constantly hung-up, belittled, told to lie on paperwork, yelled at, talked over, etc. I called in several times to make sure I didn't default but because of THEIR horrible customer service, lack of transparency & communications, I defaulted. I am a poor single mother & my entire tax refund was garnished. I have tried yet again to contact customer service & nothing has changed. My life has gone to hell within 3 years time because of EXTREMELY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. Those people deserve the fiery inferno they will be sent to.

I recently called the customer service center to address an issue and I had called previously but did not receive the information that I needed. The lady I spoke with was rude and when I asked to speak with a manager she hung up the phone. Great customer huh? This really encourages citizens to call in...
