While shopping at home goods with my daughter in law on Saturday, April 3rd I couldn't help but notice a lady coming in with her dog on a leash. Taken back I asked the young man standing at the entrance if they allow dogs in this store and he replied, very snotty, "yes we do". I don't know when it became acceptable to allow any dogs that are NOT certified service dogs into a public store. Then as I was waking around there was yet another dog in the store. It seems quite unsanitary to allow dogs in without knowing if they have any fleas, ticks or even mange. At one point the two dogs met and started growling at each other. Knowing that you allow animals in your store I will no longer be a customer. Not only is this offensive to the shoppers who don't find this cute but it is very disrespectful to the highly trained service dogs who are working at all times.

I had a horrible experience in your Palmdale store on Sunday.
I bought a comforter set the previous week and a duvet cover the day before. I tried to make the both work and wasn't happy so, I brought them in to return them. Keep in mind the day before I asked the sales clerk if I could return the duvet cover because it was not in its original package. She told me it was fine not to worry. The store manager stopped me as I approached the sales clerk and asked me what I was doing (in a very rude abrupt manner). I was there right when the store opened so there were no customers at the cashier. I told him I wanted to exchange both items . He told me I was not allowed to because they were opened. I asked him where this policy was because I was never told that and in fact I asked the clerk the day before if I could exchange it and was told it was not a problem. He finally said to the clerk in a loud voice give her a refund but throw it over there in the corner we can't re sell it and it can't be around other merchandise . I was completely humiliated. There was no need to treat any customer that way. I literally started crying . I love home goods I shop there a couple times a month. I will never shop in the Palmdale store again. I will drive the extra hour to Valencia or Northridge where the customer service is always amazing .

First let me begin by saying that I shop at Home Goods at least three times a week. I recently received a gift that I wanted to exchange and I was told there was nothing she could do. Then I was told to look around myself to see if I could find the item, then I was told they dont have the item. I explained to the manager at the Westbury store that I would take any price she gave me and I did not want cash just a store credit, she once again told me she could not help me! When I finally told her, that answer was not sufficient she offered me 16.99, I agreed as I was on line she came over and then told me 9.99, she then changed her mind ince again and said that I should make the donation to the charity at the store!!! At this point I felt so overwhelmed I just walked out leaving MY merchandise and not knowing if she in fact made the donation. This treatment IS NOT ACCEPTABLE! I will also mention that I am a African American Woman and she was from Turkish decent.....she mentioned it in our conversation. Would she have treated someone else that way? I am extremely disappointed in her behavior, and no one should feel forced into doing something with their money!!!

During a recent visit in the La Canada (California) store; my husband and I were so disgusted at the clutter and disorganization. This store was so full of junk and clutter, it was literally a trip hazard to be in there shopping. On top of that, there was a child size battery operated vehicle that a young boy (maybe 2-3 yrs old) was driving all around the displays and mess... this boy was running into items with the bike... (his mother didn't care-she looked entertained).. The cashiers were discussing if the mother was going to buy the toy and one cashier responded "No, I asked her"... This boy was clearly out of control - but had the boy gotten hurt by any of the falling merchandise - Mom would have sued-that's the culture -- Where's your Rish Management people? This store does not invite a sophisticated shopper... It's like a swapmeet -- its that bad. La Canada is a very high end community, this doesn't welcome the shopper.. Please do a random site visit... it's like this all the time, but this was much worse than usual. Regarding Service; there were only 2-3 checkers and a minimum of 10-15 people in line constantly to pay for their purchases... Where was the manager on duty? They should have been cleaning up the showroom...
