Orlando airport waited in line 35 minutes to get car , went in parking garage to location told car wasn't there, had to go back to counter to get assigned another car which was all the way in back parking lot, turn key car wouldn't start , had to walk back get another car then waited 25 minutes in line in parking garage to get checked again to leave . So a total of 1 hour and 1/2 to get a rental car , I don't call this customer service

I have been on hold for 43 minutes on 3/28/2020 until someone picked up to help me cancel a reservation. I also cancelled the same reservation on 3/14/2020 and 3/25/2020 (having to wait 24 and 32 minutes those times). Each time the agent I spoke with said everything was fine and they would cancel without the $100 cancellation fee. When I asked for a confirmation number or some kind of proof they had completed the cancellation, they said that they didn't have anything to give me, but rest assured, it would be handled. The reason I called instead of cancelling on line is that the website didn't give me the option of cancelling without a fee. Given the Covid-19 issue and the country being shut down, I don't think I should be charged a fee to cancel the reservation. The agents I spoke to agreed but apparently aren't authorized to waive the fee themselves and need a supervisor to approve it. I'm guessing that this is where the problem occurs -- the request gets lost with the supervisor and never gets processed? I just hung up with her and said "it's done" and I should get a full refund in 7-10 business days. We'll see.

This morning I received a call from Miss Haley about 11:47 a.m. stating they will be charging me $300 for cleaning the van for pet hairs and species and the van was dirty which is not true. She went on to say there were food stains and the van is not rentable from the way I agree turned it they would have to have it detailed Monday and charge me the bill. I tried to explain to her the only thing they specify is that I have no smoking in the van or no pets which I left a $50 cash deposit. When I picked up the van from the Costa Mesa location on Harbor Boulevard the manager stated that someone stole the vacuum cleaner that day and he was not able to vacuum up the raisins and other debris on the carpet in the van which it had food in it already under the gas pedal and front floor.



I don't think this is fair after they received over $1,600 for the time I had the rental and to think they cannot cover the cleaning cost. Could someone please help me out with this situation or give me some directions to solbe the problem.

Jan 6, 2017 Van Nuys Ca. State Farm lists Hertz as their preferred rental company. I needed to contact the local office and called the first day. The number rang 15 times but was never answered. This was midday, on a Thursday. So I called again the next day and it was answered after 8 rings and I was politely asked to hold " just a moment". That moment turned out to be 20 minutes until I finally gave up. I called State Farm to learn I could use any rental company I wanted and within minutes I had a call from a lovely agent from Enterprise and within the hour had the perfect vehicle for my needs. Hertz if this is your service to potential customers I never want to learn how you might treat someone who becomes your customer. I will NEVER put myself in that position with you.

I stay in Ruston, Louisiana. My car has broken down on me..the day before Christmas Eve... I reserved a car online. For me to get. Went their by the way I had to get a friend to drop me off at...gave the employee my information and driver license plus debit card.. had ask to do a credit check. So OK.. I was denied a vehicle to travel all because of a dam credit score... ridiculous ... I call customer service. They said they never heard of such a thing.. where does credit come in place for a car rental...I can see if I was buying the vehicle.. contact me tyhesia Woodard. please leave message if no answer

I rented a car from Hertz due to an accident with a deer. I was told it would cost $50 a day and a $50 deposit on a credit card. When I dropped the vehicle off at Hertz in Tomball,Texas I was told they would email me a receipt. I have been trying to call Hertz for a month now at the corporate office and all I got was either a wrong number or no one would answer the phone. A month later after never getting the receipt I finally found another phone number for Hertz and dialed it and finally someone answered. She told me they billed my sister's credit card for $928.57 and never bothered to tell me plus overcharged me. The bill was supposed to be paid for by my insurance company. What a way to run a business. Hertz you need to adjust the bill for what you said it should be when rented plus charge the insurance company not overcharge our credit card.

My car is in the shop being repaired from an accident. Picked up a car on Friday September 23rd which was dirty. Oil light came on on Thursday the 29th and the car was stalling on Friday the 30th. I made it home. Saturday @8:30 I called the Duluth office where I got the car from. No answer at first then the line was busy. This went on for about an hour or more. Called the 1800 number and was told that none of the locations near me had a vehicle. She tried to call the Duluth office but was not able to get through. I drove to the office in Duluth to see if I could exchange cars. I was told that no car was available in the category I had but there were cars on the lot. Then I was told that I could take the car and get the oil changed. I went back home and call the 1800 number, they arranged a tow truck and I had to go about 50 miles to the airport to get another car. The second car is not much better. This was my first using hertz and it will be my last. Very unsatisfied.

How do I register a complaint? I am sitting in Midland Texas awaiting a car for a reservation confirmed and paid for six weeks ago that was supposed to be ready two hours ago. What are my options for compensation?

I was at your Hayward California Hertz Car Sales lot waiting to be helped. I sat near the bathroom, none could really see me unless they made a right turn to use the bathroom. I heard a Bellicose voice complaining that "the Coons who come here never have decent credit" Now mind you I am a light-skinned African who is often mistaken for Hispanic. Then, he further insulted Afro-Americans by saying he Hates working in Hayward, it's too ghetto and broke: he further states that money can't be made here with all these N (word) and Spics in this town"

I stop my deal with a Salesman named Johnny, made up the excuse that i better get my wife's approval of the Color of the Altima and left that terrible lot! I cold members of my church and they urge me to file suit, however, I choose to notify Hertz first, because I buy all my cars there and my children's, not to mention my recommendations from my church brethren. However, I will no longer shop or recommend this location and Hertz-after all you all hire these bigots!!

On. May 27 2016 I rent a mini van on Denver, Colorado and prior of the travel i paid in full the fee in my countrry Republic of Panama. Lubel travel agency. The trip was greatt but looking at my charges I find out that the voucher I sign in Denver office for any inconvenient charge me the rental car amount that was already paid. My mame is Jose Loreto i will like the refund.

Went to Prattville AL to rent a car while my vehicle was being worked on. The only agent I saw had an attitude from the moment I walked in. It was like I was a bother to her and there were no vehicle available. Beside the agents unfriendly disposition, having no vehicles available to rent is like going to your bank to cash a check and the bank has no cash. Also you facility needs some attention as well.

We rented a Jeep Cherokee on 4/21/16 from the E Sahara office in Las Vegas. Not knowing there wasn't a c.d. player we had already packed a container of 30 or so c.d.s.Upon returning it on 4/25 my husband forgot to take the c.d. s oUT of the car. When I called and asked to speak with someone in lost and found I was told there wasn't one.I explained what happened and he said we'll call you if they are found. Well nobody contacted me and sorry to say we shall never use Hertz ever again. I will be sure to forward this info to my friends and family. From a very dissatisfied customer.

I called made reservations by a lady a could barely understand from San Antonio airport. She quoted me an outrageous price I said I am not paying that and then miraculous she had a much lower price. I go to pick up car the man at desk said he had no confirmation for me. He said I probably spoke with someone from India!! Really! He said they rip people off! He was not helpful at all. I told him I would call corporate and he said corporate does not care. I said I will talk with my lawyer and he said so! So rude and treated so unfair! I am woman traveling by myself in an unfamiliar place and this is how you treat people??!! My rental record Also I told the guy I would return my car around the same I picked up and that would be 5:00 and he put 4:00. So I guess now you are going to charge me for another day.

Never ever will I rent from Hertz's again, the people in the office located in Wichita KS on Seneca St quoted a price, then when I had my daughter go to pick it up they wanted 300 more dollars because she was under 25, all of this was agreed upon prior to this date. They said they had to collect the money because she was using her bank card instead of his. So when you think about it, had my son in law picked up the car instead of my daughter this wouldn.t had been a problem. Of course they say that they are not discriminating against my daughter, but let's see what the nation as a whole has to say!!! Thanks Hertz for screwing up a perfect vacation!!!

Added an additional driver but was not informed it would add an additional fee of $108. Called customer service and they said that it was in the contract we signed. It may have been but we trusted the agent to be honest. Customer service did not even attempt to make it right. - NEVER AGAIN will I rent from HERTZ.

I rented a Hertz car thru Hotwire in Sept. 2015. We picked up the car at the Colorado Springs Airport. Hotwire charged us and so did Hertz. I have contacted Hotwire 3 times in 6 weeks and can't seem to get the duplicated charge resolved.

I picked up a car at your 3230 Peachtree Road location in Atlanta around 5 PM yesterday.



I drove it home last night and discovered this morning that the tag expired. It expired in June of this year. When I called the location they asked me to drive it back for a replacment. I told them that I am not drive on expired tags, especially six months out of date. They could come on Monday to retrieve the vehicle.

I spoke to several Hertz reperesentive for the lion share of my Saturday. They too advised me to bring the car back for a replacement. This practice of advising your customers to break the law is offensive. I contacted my insurance company, State Farm and they agreed that I shouldn't drive on an expired plates even if Hertz would pay the ticket. AAA came and towed it way. At first they didn't want to because it's against there policy. Now I have to go to the airport to pickup a replacement. More of my weekend. I would appreciate someone in authority calling me at

Houston Hobby Airport Hertz location. Flooding on the main road on Oct 31st 2015. Cars getting stuck. Why can't Hertz find a way to put a sign so people can get there through the back route. Made the suggestion to two employees. No one cared and took any action. Fortunately I found the back way myself. The 1800 number I called gave me the wrong phone number for the location.

Horrible service!!!!! No one at turn-in location and unable to get a copy of the receipt 24 hours later.. Called customer support and was told to call Chicago number at O'Hare.. Tried for two hours, no one would answer phone.. Even tried x2347 which was suppose to be manager's ext. Still no answer..

I just returned from the Hertz at Fat.I got there half hour early and the clerk was very rude. He said I would not be served until 5:30 on the nose. When I asked why he said that's just the way it is. I couldn't believe it. I went out and checked and there were many many cars out in the lot. I had a reservation so I didn't understand. I went back at 5:20 and he said the same thing. No one was in line. There were only 3 cars rented while was waiting. Another employee offered to help me and he said no to them. I have bronchitis and waiting was painful for me. He was the rudest customer service employee ever. When I finally did get my car the employee (Brittany) was most helpful and polite. This man scared me. He looked at me with great disgust and anger and I have no idea why. I will never rent from Hertz at the airport again this guy was over the top rude and did nothing to help me or explain anything. He treated me like I was dirt. Why do you have people like this in your employ?

At first I was very pleased with this rental until I looked at my credit statement and saw that I was charged an extra $22.00. No one told me that I was being charged for an extra day. Had I known I would have waited until later to turn the car in. I could have used the car that I was charged for to get around that day. I arrived at the Airport to the outside drop off at about 10:15 pm on July 19,2015. I had called way before 10:00 to say I would be late because I was in stopped traffic on US 13 at the Delaware M. Bridge. There was no one in the outside lot to receive the keys to the car so I went around to the desk inside the terminal, stood in line so yeh it was 11:20pm. I ask the rep if it would be additional charge, she said no since my rental out time was 10:48 pm on the 17th. I didn't have the extra charge but had I known like I said I would have used the car a little longer.

I have been trying to retrieve a lost camera, left in the rental car. I talked with a representative the next day, and was told a camera was found in the vehicle we returned. However, after giving info on camera, I have been unable to get anyone to do anything more!! Now, after 3 weeks, I just seem to get "the run around" with no results. The whole process is enough to raise your blood pressure. Obviously, I'm not happy with Hertz, and will think twice about renting from them again.
