I have never been more frustrated with a service provider!!! Have been trying to get service transferred out of my name and into ex husbands name for six months. I have been lied to every time I call!!! Ex has called more than once to accept service transfer. I have called 7-8 x. The equipment has been returned. I even received an email stating it was returned. Still the account remains in my name each time I call. All they can talk about is wanting a $300 termination fee bc I want the new service out of my name because of the horrid treatment of the situation. I am a single mom and do not plan to pay for service in you're welcome places!!! I do t even live in Ky anymore. Stay away from dish. They are crooks.

Yesterday I called customer service. I was redirected to 1 800 333 Dish. I then got an individual who rather than help me with my problem, came on with a hard sell to convince me switch to Direct. After a few minutes arguing with this sales person, I hung up.

A salesman for dish came to our door 8 days ago and made promises for the dish internet that dish could not back up. The installer said that the saleman was making a habit of doing this to get a sale at any means necessary. On that night 8 days ago I was charged $53.00 for the install immediately. I cancelled the install when the technician explained to me the unscrupulous activities of the sales rep and I was promised a refund. Here we are 8 days later and still no refund. The supervisor at dish (Victor ID TJX) told me I was basically at their mercy. I would basically receive my refund when dish decided to. It would take approximately 5 to 7 more days. I lost a day of work waiting on a install and loaned dish $53.00 for it looks like now at least 2 weeks maybe more....Beware of Dish and very questionable business practices.

Starting in September of 2014 I have contacted Dish Network 5 times to have boxes sent to me to return your equipment. The last time I contacted Dish was 10 days ago and again was told that I would receive boxes within 7 to 10 days to ship back the equipment. As of today I still have not received anything. However in the past week I have received no less than 8 phone calls from a collection agency enlisted by Dish saying I owe Dish $408.00 for the equipment I have tried to return over the past 7 months. In the past I offered to deliver this equipment to a location of Dish's choosing and Dish told me that was not possible. Last week a Dish representative confirmed I do not owe Dish anything however the collection agency enlisted by Dish continues to call and harass me. Please take this email as due notice that if my credit rating is hurt by Dish's actions or if I continue receiving phone calls from your collection agency I will file legal action against Dish network and its associated collection agency.

I use to have bright house and your seller tell me I gonna pay less with dish and was the biggest lyer now I pay more I'm very disappointed with your service

I am very upset about not having Fox News channel 205. I normally watch it daily. I will be changing my service if this issue is not resolved soon. I am very dissatisfied with Dish at this time.

it is my understanding that dish network intends to drop fox news from being one of their available channels. i am a dish customer but if dish drops fox news i and i am sure millions of other customers will be canceling their dish plan and switching to another company. i know dish works hard to maintain and add new customers but if dish does this. it will set the company way back from its present status. but i am sure it would make the oboma administration happy and i think this is exactly what is going on, politics just remember while you are pleasing half of your customers you are losing alot on the other side. business wise it would not be a smart move

I cannot log in on your web site, I cannot make specific arrangementrs to pay my bill in full
on July 3rd due nto rotorcuff surgery. Both bills will be paid in Full, if this is not sufficient I will have to go to another carrier.The agents I spoke with were rude and I just kept getting the runaround.

Guilty until proven guilty because some guy gets mad at you calls dish and says your using receiver at a business BS. I've been with dish since 1998 and their fraud department harassed me enough to cancel service. funny thing i tried ti clear my name and they were so mean they didn't even give me a chance these people were truly mean.Albert

Don't Do It!! I See Why People Prefer Cable Service. I Called Dish On Saturday. The Rep Told Me I Qualified For The Hopper With A $35 Discount For A Year. The Installer Arrives With A Standard Dvd No Hd Service. When He Called In He Had Me Speak With Rep On Phone. I Was Told In Order To Get Hopper With Hd They Would Need To Bill My Card Another $449.13. I Cancelled. When It Sounds Too Good To Be True, With Dish Network It Is. Stay With Who Your With. Just Don't Trust Dish Network. Now I've Got To Wait A Week To Be Refunded. It Only Took 2 Minutes For Them To Take It.

Run the other way. The customer service knows nothing and thats if you can actually get them to try and help you. Usually they tell you its not a problem with their equipment and will give you the run around until you hang up. The receiver harddrives break all the time and you lose anything saved unless you back it up with your personal external harddrive. The internet is crap even if you get the most expensive plan. The most expensive plan is 30gb per month but they dont tell you that 15 of those are between 3 and 8 in the morning (central time) and if you run over that then it takes about 30 seconds to a minute or more to load sites like google or facebook from them slowing it down. My phone has better internet than they do more data and cheaper too. Wouldn't touch their internet unless there is absolutely no other choice and even then I probably wouldnt. Everything about them is just a hassle.

We pay $139 a month and do understand that there a some days/nights that we do not receive the Giants baseball game. I have the schedule and we should be receiving the game tonight, but are not. Maybe it's time to switch to Comcast.

Note I have 2 accounts at 2 different locations. Called to have my service discontinued in Jan on 1 account. February I received a bill. I called customer service. Response was we have no notes stating disconnection .. Fine disconnect it now. March received bill with shut off notice. Started receiving collection calls 5 to 9 times a day. Called Dish I was then informed they had sent me a box to return equipment or owe 375.00.(which was 7 yrs old). I called 6 days later(After receiving 18 more calls from Dish collection dept, while explaining for the 300th time the situation)and told them I've received no box. Oh sorry was sent to wrong address. 8 days later I received box. Charged $17.00 for using their box. Took to ups store.( Have receipt). The calls have not stopped, and the harassment from Collection Agency is terrible. I try again to talk to dish customer service. The young man tells me Im so sorry the equipment has been returned you only owe $67.00.Ok I will send that the 3rd week of April. It is now 4-17-2014. Note this started in January At this time I have documented dated, or recorded 214 calls to my phone from Dish and now the Outside collection agency who they have turned my account over to. I received a very nasty letter from the Outside collection agency. I call them explain I do not owe over $300.00. That I have talked to Dish and I only owe the 60 some odd dollars. She quickly while calling me by my full name that Dish arrangments are no longer valid. I do owe and will pay to the collection agency the $375.00. I hang up call dish I ask to speak to someone higher up than cust. serv. NOPE no go I explain it allll over again. She apologizes over and over then sends me to a account specialist. Who is soo very sorry for my inconvenience. And who says they will give me free Movie channel and Encore for 3 months. I quickly declined and said no promos. I want this fixed. So she then offers me a $10.00 credit on my next bill on my other account. It is laughable. She tells me be sure to pay the 60 something dollars( that I don't feel is even owed considering the box was setting in the floor for 2 months unhooked). And you deal with the collection agency who screwing up your credit, and Ill give you 10.00 off on your next bill. Moral of story is once the contract runs out of my other account. I will so go to Direct Tv. 6 other family members are doing the same after watching me have to put up with this.

my name is crystal I've been with dish for 7 years I had a situation we're not paying my bill this month I'll call them just few minutes ago to see can I get my be a pro rate it because I hadn't have my cable on for 2 weeks they still telling me I have to pay the full amount dish you suck your customer service suck I'm tired of y'all you treat your customers like crap and I will no longer miss with y'all I was a good customer I always paid my bills on time but when I got into a jam you wasn't there to help me recommend anybody not to mess with dish because I do not help their money

I am seriously getting tired of all the freaking harddrive checks (770). I am also sick of not being able to watch a movie to the end without the damn dvr shutting down because of " no activity ". For what I pay I feel I should be able to watch uninterrupted television. I was watching a movie just now and it cut off so it could do a harddrive check. What the heck people?!?! You people need to do something about the dvr settings because if I can't watch what I am paying for I will stop paying and find someone else.

Set up dish tv and internet over a year ago. I have a VPN that I have to use for sending information that is confidential to work. Internet was always very slow to do this and sometimes would not be able to send information on the first try. Despite this I kept the service for most of my two year commitment. For the last two weeks I have had to go 20 minutes to a hotel that had wireless and sit in the parking lot to do my transfers. When called to see if there was anything that could be done, they admitted that the delay with satellite was the reason and nothing could be done. When asked if I could cancel since it was not able to do a requirement I needed, they still felt obligated to charge the 140 dollar penalty despite the fact I had put up with things so long until it no longer served any function. I was willing to keep TV service but when they too could do nothing and felt no issues with charging the cancellation fee, I decided to check with AT&T and their regular non discounted price was much better for more service/speed/channels. Despite losing almost 300 dollars, I am happy to be rid of a company that does not feel responsible for expecting a person to keep a service they can't provide to satisfaction of customer.

Long time customer and dish network did nothing to keep us, all we wanted was newer equipment to get up to date. They just wanted to charge us fee on top of fee to upgrade. Tried customer service in upper level with a manager and nothing. So they got exactly what they needed, no more business from us.

I tried to get dish in my RV for four years or maybe five. No one seemed to know what they are talking about. I went through three installers, one gave me an out dated receiver, and the other just couldn't get my system to work. I payed for dish for four years and only watched it one day. Who's the silly one, me or dish. Everyone e talked to gave us different answers. It was just poor.

CUSTOMER Service does NOT exist! For almost a year we kept paying our monthly premium after we moved. We didn't want to disconnect but we were being transfered a lot with our work. We made Dish Network aware all along and they agree they have notes in our file. After making monthly payments we finally told them we would just pay for the equipment and stop making payments to them for a service we couldn't use. The equipment was in storage in the Midwest, but we were in Alaska. No problem, WRONG..now they want another $50+ for taxes???Are they kidding, okay, well I said we are in Alaska and have no tax here. They told me that even though there notes show that we were in ALaska since May 2013, we didn't "ask them to transfer the service", WHAT? Can't seem to pay these people enough to go away. There is no reasoning with them at all. I will never do business with DISH NETWORK again!
